I noticed something interesting in FFX-2 today. If you play the monkey love side quest, there's a monkey named Summer who loves a monkey named Winter. They're the 7th(VIInth)couple you have to match up. Now, what(FF) couple do we know of that has a summer and a winter personality? ;)

Interesting! I never even noticed that when I had to do that mission.

Cloud and Aerith sure have the Winter and Summer personalities... and Square seems to think that's a great combination for love. There's no connection made to Cloud and Aerith, yet it's obvious that it fits their personalities.

As they say, opposites attract... and Square seems to agree. :rolleyes:

Wow, GREAT observation, Sefie! ^_^ I think you are right! Aerith is Spring/Summer, optimistic, always looking toward the future. Cloud is Autumn/Winter, pessimistic, cold, brooding (except when he was with Aerith, of course). :D

REALLY good observation! I would have never saw that since the rest of the monkey couples are pretty much opposites too! :lol: But Cloud and Aerith are definately summer/winter!

Not really. In actual fact, the only other monkey couple that were opposites were Spring and Autumn. All the others were things like Birch and Sequoia, or Arroh and Quivrr(which I thought was HILARIOUS)

That's really interesting...I've never noticed that. Someone should add this to the revelence (excuse my spelling) of games.

But Aerith certainly was like a warm summer in FFVII that melted the heart of our little winter Cloud. :D

I think Square likes using opposites...

Cloud/Aerith: Cloud is a cold, brooding, pessimistic, introverted SOLDIER. Aerith is a warm, caring, optimistic, extroverted flower girl.

Squall/Rinoa: Squall is basically the same as Cloud- brooding, cold, pessimistic, introverted. And Rinoa is just like Aerith- warm, caring, optimistic, extroverted.

Zidane/Garent: Zidane is a cocky, flirty, reckless theif. Garnet is a shy, pampered princess.

Tidus/Yuna: Tidus is a cocky, loud-mouthed sports star. Yuna is a shy, soft-spoken summoner. These two also remind me of Cloud/Aerith because of their tragic story.

Tidus is much less cocky and loud mouthed in the japanese version...and Yuna doesnt speak so softly and quiet in the japanese version either... <_<
The NA VA's just made it sound so ... >_<

Well it's interesting how Tetsuya frew a picture of Tidus/Yuna in a yin-yang position that Tidus was the 'light' and Yuna the 'dark'. Also their final weapon stones(?) were Sun(Tidus) and Moon(Yuna).

Also, Yuna's name means Moon and Tidus' means Sun
