Description: What do you think of it?

I thought of this because when I was taking a nap today, I heard someone behind me. I acting as if I was streaching and I looked in a glass and I saw a floating head behind me. Turns out, my youngest brother was trying to take my purse. I had my cigarettes in there. I think he was trying to get them. Damn brothers.... He and I were the only ones in the house at the time. I looked at the floor where it was and I asked him "Where's my purse?" he said "Right here." and slid it to me. He was trying real heard to get somethig out of it.
Anyway, what are you views on this?

It annoys me a lot...especially when a thief isn't caught and/or the loss isn't compensated.
In other news read about
some thives who dug a tunnel over three months to rob a bank.

I think stealing shows a complete lack of respect for the person you are stealing from. Kids today arn't taught to respect other people, they are just out for themselves. Then again, teenagers don't have the brain capacity necessary to really understand what stealing means, and how much it hurts other people. I went through a period in my life (at about the age of 12) where I stole a few things. Thank God I grew out of it!
Those guys in Brazil sound like they have been reading Sherlock Holmes... :ermm:

I hate thieves. I still haven't gotten over the f---- thief who stole my mobile phone a few weeks ago. >:( Bad thing was, it was a camera phone and I had some of my photos there...
Iris - How old is your brother? o_o And did he get the cigs? Hope he doesn't do it again. For his own good. :D
Seeker - That's what I call effort. But still. o_o
vashsunglasses - Wow, good thing you did grew out of it. I only hear of few people who do.

If problems such as this aren't taken care of early enough, they might turn into something far more serious once few years will pass.
I suggest that should your brother do something like this again you tell your parents. It might seem bit mean and you might feel sorry for your brother if he gets scolded by your parents, but it is for the best.

Stealing is bad, yet it's funny how it's glamorized. In movies like Ocean's 11 for example, it's made into something that's supposed to be respectable.

I. hate. thieves. They make me sick. If I ever catch one, I'd make sure he/she gets a beating from me before he/she rots in prison. I think thieves, when caught, should have their hands cut off as punishment.
I really get devastated whenever I find out that the people around me had their stuff stolen. I've had some of my stuff stolen before and I hate it even if it's just petty, like one time I discovered that one of our maids is stealing shampoo, conditioner, facial cleansers, facial wash, and other hygene things from my bathroom. <_< I still couldn't find the heart to forgive her. <_< And the damn thing is, she's still working at our house because my grandmother wouldn't let her go. Blargh.

Stealing is an awful thing to do..But sometimes you have to think about it. Some People have no choice but to steal in other Country's either because they are forced to do it or because they have no way of surviving.
Here in the United States there can be alot of cases in which some people are extremely poor. Others just do it because there too ambitious.
In other third world country's people are forced to steal for their financial situations are very critical.
But either way stealing is stealing. Its wrong. But we can't change the fact that stealing will continue.

I'm sorry about your phone.
My brother is 11 and he thinks he owns the world. I had my cigs in my purse. And yes he did. He got 2 of them. He's done it to my cousin, mother, uncle, he mother (my step-aunt) and even his own friend (who'se older than him of course). I told my guardians about it, they just told me to leave my purse somewhere he can't reach (yes, he's short). Like that was going to help! I was taking a freaking nap!
And just last night when I went to take a shower, he did it again. He went into my room for pete's sake. He has no buisness in here when I'm not in it!

Iris im sorry to say this but...since you smoke. Your brother probably looks up to you..I suppose he wants to do the things his big sister does. You know what I mean? Right?
No offense or anything.

Sometimes the thief has no idea how much he really wrecks the people he's stealing from.
A few years ago, my dad had this colleague at work whom he really trusted. He was my mom's distant cousin so we really considered him a sort of uncle. He was really close to me and my siblings.
So imagine how devastated we were when we learned that he had been stealing from us for years. He was the reason why my dad's business failed and we had to sell our beloved house and move into a new(and very cramped) one. Even now, 5 years later, we're still financially unstable because of what that so-called "uncle" did.

No. He thinks of me as a sister (even though that my uncle and I are no longer related. Stupid divorce. He's happy and thats all that counts!) and he thinks that he can just do what he wants with my stuff. He does it to everyone in the house also. He thinks he allowed to smoke. He smokes weed for crying out loud! He does all the things that I don't even do. It's ridiculous.
There is none taken and I know exactly what you mean.
