I just realized that there was no club to one of my favorite couples ever, Shuyin and Lenne of Final Fantasy X-2. Hopefully, they need no introduction, being central to the plot of X-2. ;)

So if you support/love them as much as I do, by all means join away! ^_^

And the reason why the club is titled as it is..well, err...because MT is feeling rather uncreative at the moment and she thought it fit. :lol:

I love Lenne & Shuyin because their relationship was mysterious, yet it was presented in an artistic way that let the gamers feel the full impact of their tragic love. I cried during the 1000 Words FMV. :sad:

Lenne and Shuyin are one of my most favorite FF couples! Their story is so tragic. Thier scene at the end of X2 was so sweet- it even made me cry!

I do find it kinda funny when they compare CloTi and Shuyin x Lenne, saying how 'alike' it is. Personally, I think their story is much more akin to Cloud x Aeris. ^_^

Okay, I know a lot of you have answered this question already, but just to set this topic off.

Why did you guys like Shuyin x Lenne?

Personally, I found their story extremely touching and very interesting. The bittersweet tragedy and the way it was revealed, piece by piece, sphere by sphere, added intrigue to the story (personally, it was one of the few things that kept me really going. ;)) and kept the missions linked in a somewhat coherent manner. Also, the parallels drawn between Tidus x Yuna and Shuyin x Lenne added a layer of depth to both Tidus and his relationship with Yuna.

Can I join? That song is very good. It is pretty sad also. But what I really hate about it is that Yuna, and Lenne look slightly similar and Shuyin and Tidus look the same besides the clothes. That is very unoriginal in FF, but meh whatever.

I like Koda Kumi's version, it had more emotion in it then Jade's. But since I can understand Jade's, I like it alot more.

Actually, there's a point to them looking very similar, it isn't really them being unoriginal. Yuna and Lenne's similarities are striking and without those similarites, Shuyin would've never confused Yuna for Lenne and well, Spira would've probably been destroyed. Tidus and Shuyin look very much alike for one simple reason, when Tidus was created by the fayth's dream, he was based after Shuyin, the famous blitzball player. ;)

It doesn't help that the Songstress dress sphere is actually Lenne, thus furthering the similarities. ^_^

well, yeah, I got 100% so I know and all, but they could have gone difrent ways like having Yuna and Lenne like.......neh nvm.

Well, I just think they could have done something more *thinks* entertaining. They could have connected Yuna and Lenne more smoothly. The Songstress dressphere is useless, so they really had to try and fit it in, if they made the Songstress dressphere more useful and make it so in points Yuna could only wear it, then lenne would appear with her, in more far plain missions, and have it so that Shuyin..like uh was more of a fighter for lenne and with Yuna in the dressphere and stuck like that Shuyin would have to tell her things, and maybe have it so that Lenne appears making Shuyin have a daring choice each time which is making Vegnagun move, since Shuyin is controlling him (I think...that is what I got from it) and that is how the whole Vegnagun thing wraps in.

I do agree with you, to an extent. The Songstress dresssphere, while not necessarily useless, wasn't the most effective and was easily one of the worst-off in terms of 'usefulness'. Only allowing Yuna to wear that one costume, while an interesting idea on paper, would probably be rather impractical and has the high possibility of making quite a few gamers irritated, especially if they haven't worked on developing it and are suddenly forced to use it. ^_^

Also, I just wanted to point out that for the longest time, they didn't know who Lenne or Shuyin was. In the sphere that started off Yuna's quest, while it was actually Shuyin, for the longest time, the gamer is led to believe that it is Tidus (although it doesn't look anything like him. :lol:). Lenne doesn't appear in many Farplane missions as she isn't supposed to be able to materialize in the real world, being a spirit that's 'at peace'. Shuyin mistaking Yuna for Lenne was totally by accident and coincedince.

Shuyin has been trying to utilize Vengagun for about 1000 years now, for Lenne's sake. She had actually stopped him from using it originally and that's when they were killed, so Vengagun, is actually wrapped in quite a bit with their story. ^_^

eh.i don't know, I don't like it all that much. well I do, but..........I have a weird feeling about it all. eh.......it was still a really good game for the first ever FF sequal. :P
