I just wanted to clear something up - I was at uni today watching the advent children trailers on the computers, and my friends told me that the Advent Children Cloud was modelled off Tidus???

I was wondering if this was true - I thought Cloud would actually be modelled off...well, Cloud, and not Tidus. The only similarity I see between Cloud and Tidus is the blonde hair.

Just wondering if anyone knew and could clear things up for me. :)

Cloud and Tidus were both modeled after the real life Japanese performer Gackt.

Do you mean Cloud was modelled on Gackt since FF7? Or Advent Children Cloud was modelled on Gackt?

I know that Squall was modeled from Gackt - Gackt even has an outfit like Squall's! :lol: Nomura said that he modeled Squall from Gackt in an interview.

But this is the first time I've heard it about Cloud and Tidus. Gackt may have dressed up like that to look like Cloud. He does stuff like that all the time. Didn't he dress up once as half Cloud and half Aerith, split down the middle? :lol:

Cloud was modeled off Tidus? I doubt it, the only similarities I see between them were the spiky blond hair.

Well, Gackt likes to change to lots of different styles, so I'm sure that picture is just coincidental. I did hear about the FFVIII thing though.

Cloud modeled off of Tidus? You mean using the Tidus CG model as a basis to build the Cloud model? ..I could see that. They may have been too lazy to start one from scratch. But then again...maybe not.

Tidus always looked remarkably like Hide from L'Arc~en~Ciel to me. I don't have a picture (because the site that I usually find pictures at lost their gallery because of a server thing) but when Hide had blond hair he looked identical to Tidus.

Cloud, to me, doesn't look like Tidus at all. Tidus looks athletic and jock-ish while Cloud looks feminine. Tidus never looked feminine.

Someone had a picture of it on the ACF forums. :lol: It was a riot. I might be able to get a copy of it - I know someone who may have it.

I agree, vashsunglasses. The only similarity that I see between Tidus and Cloud is the blonde hair. Their facial features and body build are very different.

They weren't modeled off ANYONE in mind, guys. Square never said a thing about it.

Besides, other than Cloud's hair, they both have very simplistic designs and they could look like a million different people.

So let's not start rumors or unconfirmed ideas, hmm? And stay away from random people saying things that they "think" is true. <_<

True, I don't like thinking Cloud was modelled off any character as well. Cloud's all original, just look at the hair!! :wub:
