Who knows how to defeat Ruby Weapon? I used Omnislash on it like 5 times and it all did 0 damage.

My Allys Levels-

Cloud- Lvl. 62
Limit Break- Lvl 4- Omnislash

Barret- Lvl. 62
Limit Break- Lvl 4- Catsphore (or thats how you spell it)

Cid- Lvl. 60
Limit Break- Lvl 2- Hyper Jump

I had only Cid standing (the other two members were KO). Had W Summon Knights of the Round+HP Drain, Mime, a Ribbon, and Mystile as equipment. The reason Cid was the one fighting the guy cause his javelin is a linked triple materia growth weapon.

Speed and HP materia helps a lot too.

But when I use KOTR Materia, he counters with a Ultima which practicaly kills my Allys.

BTW- I heard you can get more than 1 Ribbon in Gaea or something. Also I got Cid's Ultimate Weapon already.

It does 0 damage until you let Ruby Weapon put his hands into the ground. He sweeps two of your party members out, or sweeps one out and leaves one dead... then he digs his hands into the ground and the fingers come up behind the attacking party.

A W summon of KOTR+HP absorb works fine after that. If you have Mime on the character, you can keep miming it instead of using a whole bunch of MP. Also have a ribbon on the character. The Mystile works best for armor.

Yes, there's another one in Gaea's Cliff. You can also morph Tonberries for a ribbon, if I remember right.

No, it's between Icicle Town and the Northern Crater.

There's no need to get go get the other ribbon in order to fight Ruby Weapon. Only one character will be left alive to fight Ruby, so just put the ribbon on the character you want to fight Ruby with.

What level do you need to be in? I heard Level 75+ I am in level 62

I think it can be done at level 62... I've heard of people doing it at level 45. :lol:

Be sure to have like 2 or 3 HP Plus materia on the character you take in, so their HP is relatively high. Put a ribbon on them, and the Mystile armor. Then W summon KOTR + HP Absorb and keep Miming it. It also helps to cast it on the fingers behind you.

O.K When his arms are in the ground and I used Omnislash, it does like 200+ damage.

Well, considering that Ruby has over a million health points, I wouldn't bother with the Omnislash. :lol: Cast a W summon of KOTR + HP Absorb on Ruby's fingers, then keep Miming it each turn so you don't use up a lot of MP.

If you're having trouble, equip Cloud with Sprint Shoes. Start the battle with two characters already KO'd and Ruby will stick his claws into the ground straight away. Then you can just revive the two of them if you need some extra help or some cannon fodder. :lol: Do you have Hades? If so, start the battle by casting Wall, then W-Summon him with KotR or Bahamut Zero. (Couple them with HP-Absorb) Hades won't hurt Ruby much, he will cast Stop on Ruby for a couple of turns and buy you some time. ;) After Stop wears off, Ruby will cast Ultima or Ruby Flame, but with your HP-Absorb you should have enough life to survive. (If you're having trouble with that, you can boost your HP with HP-Plus materia found at Cosmo Canyon, Mideel or Junon) W-Summon Hades with your other summon again, lather, rinse, repeat.

P.S: Like Aly says, Omnislash isn't too effective against Ruby. You'd need to drink a hell of a lot of Hero Drinks in order for it to be as effective as a summon. ^_^

BTW, you get a Ribbon as early in the Temple of the Ancients.

Okay before battle kill off two characters. Enter battle and revive them. Then cast Stop or Hades. Use and Mime Knights of the round until dead. Be careful though the Stop will wear off.

Phoenix linked to Final Attack would be good too. :lol:

i know how to beat the ruby weapon! listen up on thisFirst thing is to equip the players with final attack revive combination materia then use quad magic and bahmut zero and then if you have more than one player not k'd use mime dont use knights of the round cause hell use ultima as youve already found out.get that done and your in. :yawn:

I never worry about Ruby's ultimas. If you have HP Restore linked to KOTR, then your health is restored, anyway.

But your way works, too, and there's other tricks such as using lucky 7's. I would guess that Sephiroth has all of them on his website. ^^

lol yeah the weapons are my fave creatures from the FF series, i think im the only one who owns a site about weapons only

get some master command materia just level all the materia you get and you can trade them in for master my lvl 99 game has a master materia when yu master all the mmand matertia yu can get
