Cloud has another sword on his back in the scene where he stabs the buster sword into the ground. Looks like we see the start of some scene revisions.
Clorith - July 21, 2005 06:12 AM (GMT)
Actually that sword was on him in the new E3 trailer as well. :cloud:
I love the battle in the City of the Ancients! But the poor trees!! And Cloud looks so pretty riding his bike on the highway. :fangirl:
EnglishRose - July 21, 2005 11:25 AM (GMT)
i cant see it. the download page is saying that it is old.
yin-chan - July 21, 2005 11:25 AM (GMT)
:fangirl: It's lovely!
I didn't like the narration though - pretty out of place. But I love when they write "Is it for the children or a memory or himself?" at the end - at least they mention it!! And at the beginning they show aeris's death - it's like such a pivotal scene- it seemed to me like AC still had a lot of focus on that scene. :cleris:
Does anyone know if this trailer is official?

yin-chan - July 21, 2005 06:30 PM (GMT)

Marlene - July 21, 2005 07:30 PM (GMT)
I'll check, maybe its just my computer, sometimes it won't let me see a video.
Only certain ones.But thanks anyway.
Real_Emotion - July 21, 2005 07:51 PM (GMT)
:woot: AWESOME-NESS!
I agree with yin-chan; the narration sounded... wierd for AC. While the narrator was speaking, I kept on picturing- an Arnold *lastnamethatican'tspell, butitstartswithan's'* action movie or something. <_<
Marlene - July 21, 2005 09:16 PM (GMT)
I believe it would be Swartinzenager,or at least something close.
Tacofoolio - July 22, 2005 01:56 AM (GMT)
It's Arnold Schwarzenegger. I only know because he's my governer... His pic is plastered over everything.

Wait...YOU'RE FROM CALIFORNIA TOO?! *pouncetackleglomps Taco*
Tacofoolio - July 22, 2005 04:26 AM (GMT)
Yep! San Diego, down south!
Materia Thief - July 22, 2005 04:45 AM (GMT)
I'm in LA County. ^_^
But err...anyway, back on topic, I liked it overall (especially about how the one scene from FFVII that was singled out was Aeris' Death. :cleris:), however I did HEAVILY dislike the narrator, especially when he was saying the words "Jenova....", etc.? But it was cool.
Stupid Kadaj, destroying all her flowers.

Lololol!!! yes yes!! I laughed so hard at that part - it just sounded so wrong!!!! Geez where did they get that narrator from?!?! It was so bad it was funny!!! :lmao: :lmao:

I agree I was stunned when he did it, like "NOooo!!! Not the flowers!!!!"
Marlene - July 22, 2005 02:23 PM (GMT)
They should put back her death, just so you can see what happened in realistic or 3-d.

They are. That was announced in one of the earlier issues of either V-Jump or Dorimanga when they described some of the scenes from FFVII that would be remade.
Marlene - July 22, 2005 09:48 PM (GMT)
Hehe, lets make it bloody, that be awsome, then Cloud would be pissed, and Sephi would still be a jerk.Just think though,if they pull this off and make alot of money, they could make a two.

Umm...isn't he already angry...? Regardless of blood or whatnot, she just died, I think that's enough to make him angry or at least sad. And we have plenty of FFVII sequels already, I'm not really sure if we need even more...

Oh, gawd... I hope not! It would lose all the emotional impact of the original scene if they re-did it. It was also sad enough and horrible enough as it was - I do NOT want to see it again in more realistic graphics.
yin-chan - July 23, 2005 03:11 AM (GMT)
Well we do have that flashback where Cloud is lowering her body into the water....maybe that's part of the scene?

I thought that what they were referring to when they meant "Aeris' Death", but I don't know, perhaps I'm wrong?
SweetJanie - July 23, 2005 11:37 AM (GMT)
I don't wanna see bloody Aeris  Way too sad, too tragic... I don't wanna wail in the cinema!!
Anastar - July 23, 2005 12:02 PM (GMT)
Neither do I! It was terrible enough the first time.
The funeral is fine... but I don't want to see Sephiroth take her life again.
Clorith - July 23, 2005 01:37 PM (GMT)
Yes yes, funeral only. :( And I'll be there to lay some lilies for her. Anyway, I doubt there will be any blood, even if it were redone. The beauty of her death was that there was a not drop of blood... She looked like she was just sleeping in Cloud's arms.
lenne - July 24, 2005 06:15 AM (GMT)
I'll check it out when I have more RAM for my come computer(its really slow!!) or when my brother gets his back :P
Kaldea - July 24, 2005 06:24 AM (GMT)
I think if Square does remake the death scene, they won't make it out to be this huge gory death. It will be dramatic and meaningful. And come on, people... You'd get to see in realistic graphics CLOUD'S TEARS as he holds her body. And his facial expressions!
Lady Jade - July 24, 2005 08:01 AM (GMT)
They
are remaking the death scene.
http://blog.livedoor.jp/geek/archives/50005871.htmlCheck out the FFVII International CDs.
GET READY FOR TISSUES.
Kaldea - July 24, 2005 08:18 AM (GMT)
!!!!!!!!!!!
WOAH. JUST WOAH.
I think I just fell in love with Aeris.
But wait, is that a screen or just some COMPLETELY AWESOME artwork? Because I'll be happy either way. I am an art whore.
Edit: Hmm... It looks like artwork to me in what little I can see in this shot:
http://akibablog4.on.arena.ne.jp/2005-07-23-610.htmlAnd kinda funny how they put Cloud, Sephiroth and Aeris on disc covers, yet no Tifa?
Seii Monogatari - July 24, 2005 08:38 AM (GMT)
...
:woot: :woot: :woot: AERIS!! GORGEOUS!! STILL NO EYES-- BUT GORGEOUS!!
Luv-luv-luv ..... !!! SO COOL!!
*spaz-spaz-spaz*
Ahem. Cloud. Sephiroth. Aeris. Of course, it'd only be logical to use the most important characters, ne?
No really, I love Tifa. :tifa:
But still, maybe now the Tifa worshippers will shut their traps?
Lady Jade - July 24, 2005 08:38 AM (GMT)
I think it's official CG work - it's probably the lighting, I assume. But damn, is she gonna be pretty. (But you know, I can't believe they're so anal about her face - AC previews, that tech demo, and now, they cut out her eyes. )
Kaldea - July 24, 2005 08:39 AM (GMT)
IF ANY OF YOU FIND THAT PICTURE IN A REASONABLE SIZE WITHOUT A HOLE IN IT, TELL ME AND I WILL WORSHIP YOU.
yin-chan - July 24, 2005 01:41 PM (GMT)

What?? What are you all talking about?? I don't see anything except a cabinet with Cloud's figurine in it~ am I missing something?? *__*

I think they mean on the CD covers, but I can't see Aerith, either! :(
I can't read Japanese... what does it say?!? I don't wanna see the Death Scene again!!

I don't mind seeing the funeral again, or Cloud's reaction - but I do not want to see Aerith's death. No. I really, really hate this.
Clorith - July 24, 2005 04:11 PM (GMT)
Actually it looks like just a disc art to me. But them remaking the death scene wouldn't surprise me, I just won't like to see her die again. My poor heart would break.
Marlene - July 24, 2005 05:13 PM (GMT)
Could you please be a little bit more specific were it is,I found the sight, but I coud'nt find Aerith. And I'm prepared to do what guys typically do best when I see
her.
Enima - July 24, 2005 05:16 PM (GMT)
Meow, I can't see a thing. Which one is it?
