After the Montreal Film Festival, a person who went to see the preview of Advent Children there told us that Cloud is wearing a pink ribbon on his left arm. She reported that one scene showed him without the cape over his left arm, and that the ribbon was visible. That was reported in the SPOILER forum at http://www.adventchildren.net in the thread about the Montreal Film Festival.

Nomura said that the pink ribbons worn by Cid and Tifa on their left arms were in remembrance of Aerith. It's nice to know that Cloud's wearing one, too! :D

Most likely, Cloud was wearing the ribbon before he got infected with Geostigma.

It's too much of a coincidence that he got Geostigma on the same arm where he wears the ribbon, so I think it's supposed to represent that the death of Aerith and Geostigma are both terrible wounds from which Cloud may never recover.

Hmm..I ALWAYS thought he had Geostigma from the time he was injected with Jenova Cells..but just now it started to manifestate itself, with that, his geostigma can be way too advanced for a cure :D

But people have Geostigma whether or not they were injected with Jenova cells, don't they? When were the children ever injected with Jenova cells? Plus, when AC was first announced, Square said that Geostigma had just started affecting the people of the Planet... I'm not sure whether they changed that or not, but that's what they originally said.

The person at AC.net who said that Cloud was wearing the ribbon said that it seemed to be a flashback when she saw the pink ribbon on his arm. So, I had assumed that it was a flashback of when he was first realized that he had Geostigma or when he first got infected.

Cloud apparently hadn't been wearing the cape over his arm for two years. He's one of the people in the picture on Tifa's desk, and he doesn't appear to be wearing the cape in that picture.

Well..I think I wasn't saying that the children were injected with Jenova cells, but because Cloud was, his geostigma can be incurable!

Why isn't there any pictures of cloud with a huge pink ribbon???? :angry:

Ah, okay... I misunderstood. In that case, I agree. I have a feeling that the Jenova cells that were already in him before the start of Geostigma will make it worse for him. It may be incurable for Cloud.

Actually, it was probably Tifa who started it. Out of all the characters, she seemed to appreciate Aeris the most, and knew her best. Plus, she seems to be the most open about Aeris. I love the relationship between those two! In none of the other games do you get to see two characters so close as friends.

"The scene changes again to a rainy shot of Cloud standing outside of a temple, next to its supporting pillars, with Fenrir at his side. There is a pink ribbon attached to his left bicep and he is seen gingerly touching it, almost afraid to come into contact with it. The setting changes again, but this time, to a large body of water with several buildings in a blurred background. An amazingly clear and focused drop of water falls into the water, splashes and a disembodied voice is heard saying, "Let's go, Cloud". The screen slowly fades away into white and everything disappears."

It's been confirmed that the voice saying, "Let's go, Cloud" is Aerith. We've been discussing what it could mean, and more about this passage in the thread about "Let's go... Cloud..."

BTW, Daeya.org has a picture of Cloud wearing the pink ribbon, but they didn't show it. Let's go into their forum and beg for the pic! :lol:

Ehm, but it's not like he would even need to wear one. It is so painfully obvious to each and everyone who has to deal with Cloud that he is heartbroken and depressed. He needs no physical tokens to prove he is missing her.

But...if he really is wearing one, then fine with me. I think Cloud looks very cute with a pink Ribbon. He should just braid his hair with them. :D

I saw him with a ribbon, people told me he had a ribbon, but those stupid DAEYA.org people are not showing it because it's "ILLEGAL" -_-. They said they were going to make wallpapers out of it, but until today, NOTHING.
