Well obviously Cloud and Aerith are my favourite just because their story is so tragic, but I also have to include other very tragic couple from FF6...Locke and Rachel. Their story is sad enough to bring few tears to my eyes just like Cloud and Aerith's.

Of course Final Fantasies are full of cute and pretty couples but I prefer to tragic ones and not the ones that live happily ever after. Not that I have anything against happy people. :D

Gah! You darn people keep bringing up couples that I for some reason seem to forget. How could I forget Vincent and Lucrecia escapes me. They are as tragic as Cloud and Aerith, as much as Vincent loved Lucrecia he just couldn't have her. And after seeing that flashback in Shinra Mansion my hatred towards Hojo was unimaginable.

It was Hojo who stood between those two and Hojo alone. Just imagine what a happy life Vincent could have lived if it wasn't for him. Instead now he has to suffer each and every day until the day he dies. :(

There aren't many FF couplings that I seriously like so I tend to go for fanon pairings just for the heck of it, but if I have to pick...

Cloud x Aeris - Naturally. I was obsessed. The obsession waned a little a year after I played the game and it finally settled down before I heard of AC, which I sparkled over, and then it waned again (and FF7) so I'll just wait for AC to come out. But CxA is definitely my OTP of FFVII, cheers. :D

Locke x Celes - Ah yes, the second couple that oh so captured my heart. *love* This was the reason why I played FFVI so feverishly till I went insane. ~_~ Little moments like when Locke blushed when he sees her in the Opera attire, when he promised he won't let her go... it's because of scenes like these that I don't need the ending credits (Locke/Celes' names were the only ones to be featured together)to tell me that this pairing is more canon than others, because canon or not, this pairing will always have a special spot in mah heart. v_v Go Locke!

Anything before FFVI doesn't really matter as the characters were somewhat undeveloped apart form few.

Terra and Celes would make the perfect couple in FFVI, especially as I really didn't care that much for the males in that game. ^_^

In FFVII I could imagine Vincent with nearly all of them! No matter who he is with he looks good as does the person he is with. :lol:
Same goes for Rufus and Elena, I could pair them with so many that I'd rather not list all the possibilities here. And as you might have noticed I didn't mention Cloud and Aerith here as that should go without saying. :P

FFVIII...another tough as there are so many good choises here. But I suppose I have to be boring and go with the official couple this time, Squall and Rinoa. These two earned my love during the space scene where Rinoa was drifting to her death, and during my first playthrough I was sure that she was really going to die out there. I have to admit I was bit disappointed when she didn't...it would have been great for this game. As much as I like Rinoa, her death would have brought much to the story.

FIX is a tricky one. I loved the game very much but the characters weren't all to my liking. Kuja is just perfect (I adore the feminine types), of course. :P
So just stick him with anyone and you have your perfect couple. *giggle* :lol:
And I suppose Beatrix would be another one of my favourites. There's something about her and Garnet together that I just like.

In FFX and X2 we once again are rewarded with so many great, cute characters that it is hard to pick just one favourite. If we begin with my favourite character, Lulu, I would have to say that she and Paine are so alike in many ways that they would have to be my favourite couple. As much as I love all the guys in these two games, they just aren't worthy of Lulu and her greatness. :lol:
Tidus is cute but too goofy for her. Auron, as handsome as he is the last person I would pair Lulu with. And Wakka...despite the fact that they got together officially, no. :rolleyes:
And Kihmari, well, I hardly think he counts in this case. Gippal and the rest aren't lead characters so I do not care about them. Sorry! :angel:

FFXI is not worth talking about and FFXII has not been released yet so that has to wait, despite how many promising characters it has. I never thought I'd like someone who has bunny ears so much, but Fran is for some reason starting to become my favourite. But I suppose it's best I wait for the game to be released before I start pairing her with anyone. :D
