Title: Hachimitsu To Clover
Description: A series that should not be missed. :D

I'm not sure who has heard of this series, but this has got to be one of the best of its season. When randomly taking screenshots of this anime turned out to sparkle out the pretty so
much, you know that this is something producers had poured tears, sweat and shoujo love into. :woot:
The gist of the storyline is... I'm not quite sure what to say. It's about four
broke college guys trying to survive, and one day, this girl came into the picture and two of them fell heads over heels with her. Despite how that came out, it's not revolving around cliche shoujo triangles and a a hellish wankfest like Love Monster. This is a series where you have to watch in order to truly appreciate how great it was, and I'm sure this little summary couldn't even do justice to the series.
But if you like Fruits Basket, is extremely sick of guys with their harems, and appreciates a touching, beautiful story, then Hachikuro is good. :huggle:

Oh! Sounds good! I think Ill try it out. I loove Fruits basket, and am very tired of those cliches romances and series with one-average-little-geeky guy and 1000 women after him. Not to mention the ecchiness.... <_<

Yeah, I got so tired of the harem thing, Love Hina, He Is My Master, D.C.Capo, etc. :no: Then Honey and Clover caught my attention, and I thought it's the usual love triangles and comedy thing, so I didn't think too much of it, until I actually watched it, and Jesus Christ, I was totally hooked. :woot:
Part of its charm is that it does have its usual love triangles, but it's one of those instances where you didn't know who to support. You have OTPs in there, yet, you can't help but feel for the other party, which is why I bloody love the series. It raises issues like... it's easy to move on, but how do you move on? You try to, but you can't help loving the guy - in short, a very, very indepth exploration of human traits, so much that you could relate to these people. :lol: You're fascinated with these feelings for this girl, and you never knew that it is love until much later. And even more importantly, all these people care about one another (not surface level, but *really* care), and it's evident that they share a very strong bond. K, anyone done puking yet? :whistle:
I think the only series that could reach this level would be Fruits Basket, and don't get me wrong, I'm as much a rabid fan as Amy here, but I think Honey and Clover achieves slightly more emotional impact. But that's what I think. :lol:

I just saw the first ep...its so weird xD
They all seem so hyper, and that girl...seems like a little girl. ;; Won't they feel a little pedophilic? She even acts like a little girl xD;
I see story potential, but I'm not a fan of those love-at-first-sight things ^^;
But usually it always gets better after the first ep, so Ill see how it goes.
Oh yeah...whats with the op? :lol:

Hagu's eighteen. :lol: Give the rest of the episodes a go, it'll flesh out the characters and explain why they did what they did and smoked what they smoked. :woot:
The OP is so weird it owns.

Well, I just finished the third ep...and can't wait for the next one. :D
Its starting to get interesting. I like the triangle (square?) with the guy with glasses (Mayama I think..) and Rika.
I know she's 18, but she seems so young...he even calls her Hagu-chan, so it seems even he treats her like a kid :lol: But I'm not too interested in the triangle with her and the other two guys....yet. ^^;
As for the op, that hand writing 'help' kinda creepy, and then the hotdog right after..made it even creepier xD; I like how the ending blends the preview for the next ep into the ending credits though. Good emotional impact with the music.

Rabid Furuba fan? Me? I have no idea what you're talking about, Crisis. ;) WTF LOL KyoxTohru 4eva!111 Honey and Clover sounds quite interesting. If it can match Fruits Basket in terms of emotional impact then it must be damned good! And especially if with the love triangles you don't know who to support because they all really do love and care for each other. That's what I like to see. Think I'll have a look into getting hold of this series. Completely legally, of course. :whistle:

Oh, Kyou and Tohru are just so sweet - he makes her blush and smile, she makes him smile. They're able to experience new emotions with each other, and Kyou shows his love for her through subtle but moving ways, and Tohru fighting her feelings for her mom and Kyou... Kyou was able to take, as well as give, and the same goes with Tohru, which wouldn't be possible with Yuki (not to compare, but using Yuki as a prominent example. :D )
With Kyou and Tohru, it works, because in Fruits Basket, being happy is no small matter. And that's why I ship them. :fangirl:
And Hachikuro is draining me dry with all these emotional impact. :D Can you believe the effort poured into this series, to the extent where the production group actually sought out fashion advice for the characters? :lmao: Have you watched it? Have you caught up to the latest episode? Has anyone caught up to the latest episode? :sad:
