Reju walked slowly down the city streets. It was mahem and crazy. Vampires romed the world and humans hid in fear underground. Life was dark now and the sun was black. Even the warewolfs are afraid to come out. Reju walked along not caring who he ran into. He was ready for a fight and ready to find his brother.

The large hall was full of dust. Another dark family was down, every single member of the family died in his hands. Brandon picked his newest weapon, a vampire sword. It was a bit heavy for ordinary humans but pretty light to vampires. He put it on his belt and left the place.

Outside, Misha was eating some flowers under a tree.

"Hey, flowers are pretty rare, so don't eat them!"

"But I'm hungry!"

He shook his head and sighed.

Misha turned into her horse form.

"So, how many today?"

"The whole family."

"50?"

"...57."

"So, that means 100 enemies?"

"Not really, that family had more enemies than I do..."

"Oooh, thats a lot!!"

Misha kneeled down and Brandon sat on her back, and as she walked he looked at the sword.

"It looks old...maybe a family tresure?"

"Are you gonna sell it?"

"Not before trying it. If its good I'll keep it."

"So..." Misha looked around as she walked down the road "Where to now?"

"To the nearest church. I really need to rest..."

The sky was dark and cloudy, but the temperature remained warm. A girl sat on the grass in front of a church silently, a blank look on her face.

Her chin was resting on the hilt of her sword as she gazed thoughtfully into the distance. She could only rest for a little bit, she heard that the human clan, the Kishikono clan were going to be attacked by a group of vampires.
She clenched her teeth at the thought. 'Those damn vampires...' she thought silently, rage crossing her pale face.

The human race was quickly disappearing as the vampires took over the earth. They had to go into hiding, and even though, the vampires would always find them. But what would happen when the vampires ran out of humans...? Ai shook her head quickly. Better to focus on the present rather than the future. She needed to destroy these vampires. Even the people who are just half vampire. What if their instincts took over? The world needed to be rid of these filthy beasts.

Ichigo looked at her with her black button eyes. "You need to hide your anger. You cannot let anybody see your weaknesses."
Ai looked down at the plush kitten. "You're right..but.." she trailed off as she looked away.

"Look, people are approaching." Ai raised an eyebrow, and turned to see a man on a horse approach the church. Ai's face quickly turned dark as she quickly noted,
"That man is half vampire......."

Reju slowly walked as the moon gleamed. "Vampires. and that damned spell." he mumerd. He neared a church and slowed down. "Better check if there are humans." He said casually as he turned the corner. He spotted a girl and a guy on a horse. Reju slowly walked to them. THe moon gleamed as he walked along the path.

He looked over at the people and walked up. "Uh, I am Reju, do you need help? I am a vampire but...I want them to die, I technically am a human, anyway, do you need help?" He said to the girl sitting on the grass. (Ai)

ooc: ^^ Aerith's_Man, technically you're just talking to one person, 'cause that girl transformed into a horse.

OOC: Your charcter Ai and brandon are peole. Misha turned into a horse. But yes, I am talking to your charcter right now.

At the word 'vampire', Ai tried not to show the visible twitching motion she made. What was this man...or vampire thinking? Just walking up to her like that...
Her blank onyx eyes look up at him suspiciously.

"Why would you think I would need help, especially from YOU?", she asked, her eyes narrowing.
"Is it because you can smell the HUMAN IN ME?" She continued, challenging him.

"Ai..your voice..." Ichigo squeaked from below.
Noticing, Ai went quiet.

Reju looked at her shocked. Surley she knew him. He had helped humans in the past. "I uh...wanted to help. And actually no, I can't smell the human in you. But I figured I should ask because a vampire would never sit by a churh. Lucky you, this one is still standing." He mutterd his voice getting loud and angry. "But if you want I can end your pain now and kill you as I see through your eyes you have been hurt..by a vampire and since you hate them, I can give you a really good reason to."

She began to laugh.
"Kill me? If I wanted to die, I would have killed myself a long time ago. I won't die until every vampire is destroyed, and I have avenged my parents."

She brushed her crimson and raven colored bangs out of her eyes.
"This conversation is going nowhere. Anyways, what's your name?" She questioned, clearly not knowing who he was.

Reju lifted his head alittle in annoyance. "My name is not important now. You say you want every Vampire dead? Well, you have found the right person. I know how to kill every last one of those rat sucking assholes." He said as he knelt down close to her. "The book of darkness, the same book that allowed thos vampires to rule the planet 300 years ago." He said with a small smile. He then stood back up. "As for the name. I am Reju."

"And why would I care if you know to kill them? I can kill them well enough by myself, thanks." She said crossly, turning her head slightly to avoid his gaze.

'Reju.' She thought as he said his name outloud. The name quickly registered in her mind.
"REJU!? You're the one who let the vampires loose!" She yelled.

Reju looked at her he titled his head in confusion. "Actually, that was my father, that son of a bitch. He really wanted them to rule. He really wanted it all to come crashing down." Reju then looked at her a smile spread across his face as he rememberd the death of his fahter. "I though, killed him reluctantly."

She stared at him for a couple more moments before turning around with a slight 'hmph'. "Killed your own father, eh..?"
"Why would you hate vampires if you are one?" She asked, reluctant to admit that she was curious.

Reju looked at her he was not sure what to make of this. "Why I want to kill vampires is very complicated...and long." He said his tone sounding as if he was not going to tell.

Reju then sat next to her. "I was born half vampire, I was the only in my family, and my father was ashamed of that. He feared the King's name would be soiled. He feared I would ruin everything. So he sent me, since at the time I was the only pure of heart one, to find the lost book of Darkness, the book Dracula had lost. The book of Darkness was also given to The first vamppire chick from the devil. So I brought it back and that venom dripping son of a bitch Cast a spell on me. So now I am more then a vampire. Then later to anger me and see my true potental he killed my family, my entire village, and the one I loved. The spell made me human, I can walk in the day, but I still Fire hurts me still. I then had to kill my father. My family killed themselfs trying to get the curse I have."

"Ah." She managed to say as she finished listening to his story. She seemed uneasy at the fact that he was sitting so close, so she scooted away a little.
She sat there for a moment, thinking. This person was vampire, yet not. It made sense after his story, but was utterly bizarre.
"The one you loved...was she human?" She asked, wondering if it was too personal to ask such a question.

Reju nodded. "Yeah, I loved hi..her very much. They were my heart and soul my love, the very reason I was alive and then my father...." Reju said holding back a tear. He knew he would not cry he would not give the vampires the satisfaction of seeing him fall. Reju stood up and looked at the moon. "I still have a Vampire on my list to kill, so as long as you do not need any help, I will be on my way."

Noticing his slip, she raised an eyebrow, but nodded anyways.
"I must be going too."
Suddenly, she heard a rustle. Looking around quickly, she swung her sword towards the noise.
"A demon....." She scrunched her nose up in disgust at the minor demon she had just killed. "Someone has been sending them after me lately....the vampires must be onto me." She sighed, and stepped over the demon.

Reju turned around. "Uh, so, do you need help?" he asked knowing she would not need him but he wanted the company.

She raised an eyebrow at him.
"Depends..who is that vampire that you are aiming to kill right now, again?" She asked.

Reju smirked. "Does it matter, you want every Vampire dead." Reju then walked over to her. "But," He lowerd his voice, "It is my brother, Chaos."

"It does. I aim to take out the stronger ones first, the ones that cause the most damage." She replied seriously. "And Chaos is one of my targets."

Reju laughed. "Well duh he has the book, and he is going to be the next ruler if he wins." Reju said as he started walking. He then looked at the moon. Reju then burst out into a sprint. "And if we don't get there before sun rise, he will have world domination." Reju said.

"Heh?"
'I didn't even know that..I just knew that he was powerful..' She said to herself silently, laughing at her stupidness.
"Hey, wait up!" She shouted, while running to catch up.

Reju slowed down slightly allowing her to catch up. "You know, you never told me your name." He said while panting alittle though he was use to phsycal activity so he was not tired. "And Chaos is rather tricky and sneaky since he is my brother. You better be careful." Reju turned a corner and halted as he came up to a tall sky scraper. "Well, here we are." He said as he drew his blades.

"Oh..that's true. Um, well..my name is Ai." She responded.
She looked up at the tall skyscraper. "Wow.." she mumbled to herself.
Watching him take out his weapons, she followed suit by taking out her sword.
"I'm ready."

Reju walked in casually not feeling threatend. Muffled cries were heard a few screamed, "The assasin! Get him!" Reju smirked as he started attacking them.

Reju dodged in and out swinging his blads with force. He jumped as a goon tried to beat him in the badck with a bat. Reju did a flip over the goon slicing his head of as he landed. Reju then continued with the one in front of him swinging his blades.

Brandon just wouldn't laugh because of his wounds. A vampire who killed his father, wants to kill his brother and that lost his love.

'How typical'

He was inside the church with Misha in her human form. They saw them running somewhere he couldn't care less.

"Why the sudden rush? Or they sit and talk or are either running around like littles kids..."

"Do you know where they're going, master?"

"Prolly after that stupid book. Meh, I saw it and it was no big deal. Of course I never read the red pages... Cause those are the important ones. Next time I see that, I'll burn it."

"When will that be?" she got closer to take care of a wound on his shoulder.

"Tomorrow after a good night of sleep. I like to walk by day, its warmer."

And with this he soon fell asleep, as Mish took care of him with holy water and prayers.

Reju did a quick flip as he sliced up some more Vampire's. He then took out his pistols and shot at them. He shot up a few as they threw their bats at him. "Time to kill the have blood!" Some new men yelled as they ran down the stairs. They took out guns shooting at Reju. "Nice aim!" Reju exclaimed as he dodged a few bullets. He grabed his arm. Blood trickled out as he put his guns away getting his blades out all in one motion.

The wolf inside Avery was hungry

"Shut up," he whispered, shuddering, knowing it was pointless. A few nights more and the monster in him would emerge.

He crossed his bedroom and stared out at his backyard, at the gleaming cage where he shackled himself three nights of the month. The night before the full moon, the night of the full moon, the night of the full moon. Three nights, what difference would that make? he had told Terra and their small group of vampire hunters.

Plenty of difference, it turned out. Darkness was spreading, throughout this whole desolate world. There would be nights when he lost the balance between man and beast, when, although his human appearance remained, his inner monstrosity battled to be let out.

One fateful night, he had finally lost control. He had attacked his friends while they were on a mission, almost killed two of them, almost let them be the prey of the vampire fiends they were hunting. The horror in his beloved Terra's face was almost too much to take.

The grief in her eyes when he told her he was leaving, had been unbearable.

And what good did it do me? Avery thought bitterly. Where am I now?
I left them for nothing, I left her for nothing...

No.

He had vowed, vowed to himself that he would never despair. That if he searched every town, every city, every corner of the world, he would tame himself. He would go back to her.

Hope. It was something she had taught him, everyday, in the endless battle they fought against darkness. Now he was fighting two battles...one from within and one from without

This city seemed a good place to start.

Reju senced his brother getting closer so he made his way up the stairs. "Ai, can you handle these guys?" he called as he ran up the stairs.

Each floor seemed to lead to another as Reju ran up. What the hell! he thought to himself as he kept getting higher. He finally made it to the top as he stepped out. "So brother ready to die." Reju said casually as he walked in. His brother Chaos looked at him in shock as he grabbed his sword quickly.

"So, Reju, you actually showed your face. The family hates you by the way."

Reju looked at his brother a smirk on his face. "What family? Their dead." he said with a laugh.

Chaos walked closer to his brother his heart pounding. "You think I am scared of you? I will surly end your life."

Reju laughed hearing his brother say that. "You eyes say fear. But don't worry I will kill you quickly and painfully." He said as he took a step back.

Chaos got ready to strike fear in his eyes. For Chaos knew he could never beat his brother, but he would try.

Reju leaped forward in a heat of movement. He was read y for his brother to defend and he knew the fight would be along time.

Thhe blades met as rejus arm blades hit his brothers swords. Metel flung in all ways as the two clashed full force. Reju was quicker then his brother, but his brother was alot more stronger. Reju wasn't as tricky eaither his brother was sure to pull some trick.

Chaos fought back all his strength fear in his eyes. He swung his mighty sword sweat dripping from his hands. He grunted as their blades met. Reju lept over him and to late. Chaos could not lift and turn in time. His sword hit the ground as he fell to his knees. His brother had cut off his arm. Chaos slowly turned swinging his sword. Blood gushed from his mouth. Reju tried to leap back but did not in time he got a gash on his chest. Blood trickled out and Reju glared at his brother. Reju then flew at his brother full force the two engaged in anpother heated sword fight grunting as their blades met.

Reju flew back as his brother punched him. Reju managed to kick his brothers swrod half way across the room. Now Chaos had to rely on brute strength. Reju hitthe wall as he slumped to the ground. He quickly stood up. Chaos swung his fist at his brother and Reju dodged it. His speed now was comming in handy. Reju and his brother engaged in a deadly fist fight. Reju then grabed his gun sticking it in his brothers stomcahe. Chaos laughed as blades came out of his shoe. Reju shot in time as guts splaterd on the wall.

Chaos fell as blood gushed from his mouth and stomache. He was fell to the floor. Reju grabbed his blades off the ground and stood on his brothers back.

"I always win." he said darkly as he chopped off his brothers head. Reju now had to look for the book of darkness. His family was dead, and now he could return the planet back to its rightful owners, the humans.

Reju stood by the window as the sun rose. It was dark and black but the light was still there. The earth quickly heated up and Reju smiled. The Vampires can still rome the earth during the day, but not for long.

Brandon woke up with the sun rays hitting his face. He got up, stretched, and picked up his weapons.

"Time to work..."

Outside the church he rode Misha all the way to were that dude and the girl had gone. When he entered the building, Ai was sitting beside the door, looking bored.

He got off Misha and walked up the stairs, ignoring the dust that was around him. When he found Reju, he just smiled.

"You know, your family had enough with this book. Now, join them."

Reju frowned but Brandon was quickier and shot him in the head with a silver bullet, but, insted of powder, it was holy water. Reju turned into ashes and Brandon took the book.

"Hmph, time to read the red pages..."

He ran down the stairs and got on Misha.

"Are you coming?" he asked Ai with an emotionless expression.

"More money" the old man croaked holding out a withered hand.
Avery sighed and gave him a few more of the small round coins. "Listen, I don't care how much I give you. Just tell me all you know"
The old man's laughter echoed long and loud in the dark alley "Twitchy young werewolf, aren't you? "
Avery blanched. "How did you..."
The old man gestured towards Avery's belt. "Those herbs. Dead giveaway"
He groaned mentally. Terra had always warned him not to leave his lunar herbs in plain view. Most people had harbored animosity towards werewolves...not that he blamed them. The herbs were meant to put at least some measure of control during those times when he felt the wolf stir. They worked...most of the time, anyway.
After tucking them discreetly away into his pocket, he turned his attention back to the old man. "Tell me about what you heard. A book of darkness? A book to wipe the darkness off the face of the planet?"
The man slowly nodded. "Last I hear, a being called Reju had it."
Reju. The King family. He had heard of them before. And that book...why, it could change everything.
Wiping darkness of the planet...it might even take away the monster within him. And at the same time, he'd be helping humanity, the one thing that he and Terra had once dedicated their lives to.
"So tell me...where can I find this Reju...?"

Two women hid in darkness as humans walked around through the day. Light belonged to the humans and Half-bloods, while the shadows belonged to them. One found it preferable to keep that separation, while the other longed for her days of walking with the humans. A sigh came from the younger Vampire, and was given a harsh look.

"There's no use in regrets. You know that you'd be hated even if you could be in the light. All that is light is not good, remember that Akilah."

Akilah nodded, understanding the truth of Jade's words. Humans had claim to light, yet were involved in many acts darker than Vampires. So many Vampire Slayers emerged, killing her kind for revenge for acts committed by a single bad Vampire. They were considered evil for feeding, yet Humans thought nothing of killing various animals to eat. Vampires had no other option to seeking out blood, Humans had the choice to eat whatever they wished.

Jade looked at the girl, frowning. It disgusted her to see Akilah desire to be among that filth, when she had become so much more. It was only for the sake of having someone to help her in her plans she kept the girl around.

"You are so young Akilah. There is still much for you to learn. However, now that we are aware of where the Book of Darkness is, you will be able to learn how truly special our kind is. Reju was foolish to tell so much to a human he'd barely met, but it certainly has been convenient to us." Jade gently ran her fingers through the young Vampires long hair, her words said in a soothing voice.

Akilah gave a small laugh.

"I never thought I would be told I was young at age 120. Forgive me for my doubts, I should feel blessed to be a Vampire.

She had accepted her fate, but there was much she missed. Straightening her posture, she once again resolved to stop feeling those pangs of sadness.

Seeing the indecision in the girl's face, Brandon let out a 'Hmph' and hit Misha's stomach lightly with his ankles. The black elfic horse ran fast throught the street. Brandon had to cover the book to protect it from the sun, since it had the same weaknesses that vampires had. So, he couldn't hide in the church.

"Misha, we need a new hideout. One that a vampire would use."

"Why, master? Because of the book?"

He nodded, "But let's called it 'Lil Brat'. It kinda reminds me of my little brother, when I used to take him away from his house and we'd hide from his mom..."

Misha turned right, running at full speed through small dirty streets, "Is your father still alive, master?"

Brandon didn't answer. It was a stupid question. If the man was dead, he wouldn't be here, killing random vampires just for fun. He wanted the book, yes, but mainly to keep it away from 'him'.

Misha began to slow down, stopping near some bags of trash and a big container.

"We used this one before, but..."

"That's ok, Mish. I'll go inside to check it out. You stay here with the brat, k?"

She nodded and turned to her pony form, sitting behind the trash. Brandon opened the container, revealing a tunnel. He jumped inside and made its way to the chambers that lied inside.

Jade and Akilah moved quickly through the shadows, through tunnels and underground areas only Vampires knew of, and that Humans would be foolish to visit. It wasn't long before they entered the building they knew to be where Reju and Chaos frequented. The two made their way to the top of the building, when they came across what had used to be Chaos. Jade silently signaled to Akilah to halt, and moved quickly towards the window, where a pile of ashes were gathered, with clothing.

As Jade further inspected them, she deduced what had happened. Looking hurriedly, Jade shrieked as she realized whoever had killed Reju had taken the book. Akilah winced at the shriek, and came to her side. Akilah's eyes widened, and it wasn't long before she had come to the same conclusion.

"It must have been that girl or than man who heard his plans." Akilah said quietly.

Jade hissed, right as the book was within her grasp, someone else took it. It infuriated her, and she tore through the building, finding the girl as she went. Jade sliced the girl, leaving her bleeding, but at finding no book, left her there, not caring if that human lived or died. It was apparent now that it had been the man.

Following her, Akilah looked sympathetically at the fallen girl. However even as she wanted to help, something wasn't allowing her to, and she found herself grow numb. Jade was staring at her, and Akilah walked to her, as though she was a puppet, with Jade pulling the strings.

The two walked briskly through the shadows, and went into hiding once more. Jade stared at Akilah coldly, leaving Akilah with a sense of guilt, as though she had failed somehow. Akilah looked down at the ground, and spoke quietly.

"I'll find him. Perhaps he has good intentions, though."

Laughing quietly, Jade shook her head.

"You shall find him, and bring the book back. Watch out though, Reju was stupid, but a strong Vampire, and this man killed him. Don't let your fate become the same."
