Although most of this is already known, a few more details and clarification of what will be in the limited edition of AC have been offered in articles at
IGN and
Gamespot. Nothing is known yet about what will be offered in the States:
From
Gamespot:

TOKYO--Square Enix has released additional product details on the DVD version of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in Japan. To begin with, the game-inspired, computer-animated film's running time will be 97 minutes, and it will sport Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Aside from the movie, the Advent Children DVD also features a 30-minute documentary that outlines the original FFVII PlayStation game. The regular DVD edition of Advent Children will be priced at 4,800 yen ($45), standard for a DVD in Japan, and the first shipment of the DVD will come in a specially designed package. A limited-edition DVD will also be available for a hefty 29,500 yen ($275). The limited edition includes a toy figure of Cloud and his motorbike Fenrir, as well as an additional DVD that features an original FFVII anime short, titled "Last Order: Final Fantasy VII," and a special edition of the Final Fantasy VII PlayStation game. Advent Children Bundled with Final Fantasy VIISquare Enix reveals super collectors pack for Advent Children DVD.
by IGN Staff, June 13, 2005
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is all set for simultaneously US and Japanese DVD release on 9/14. While details on the US version of the movie have yet to be revealed by the company, we've gotten word of the Japanese release plans, and boy are they exciting!
Advent Children will be released in two packages. A standard edition, containing just the DVD release, will retail for 4,079 yen. The final film will clock in at 97 minutes, in 16x9 format and with Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Pro Logic II sound tracks. In addition to the movie, the DVD will include the Advent Children trailer, trailers for all the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII products, and a digest look at the original FFVII, featuring the CG scenes from the game.
More interesting is the pricey limited edition version of the flick. Costing 24,990 yen, the limited edition includes, in addition to the standard DVD, a second DVD containing a making-of video, an original video animation called "Last Order Final Fantasy," a video look at the Advent Children Venice Film Festival premier, and a series of trailer. The package also includes a Cloud figure set, a key holder marked with a serial number, a cap, a t-shirt and a voiced replication of the script. Best of all, the package comes with a special version of the original PlayStation Final Fantasy International -- that's right, the whole game!
It's unknown if Square Enix plans a similar package for fans in America, but join us in hoping that we get treated just as well. It's also still unclear what Square Enix plans on doing with the UMD release of the movie.Source:

Whew, that sounds pretty cool. I'll admit I'm intrigued by the special edition rerelease of FFVII and the "Last Order FFVII" anime. The rest I could take or leave, though - it would be nice if they were offering an in-between package. It's cool, but I'm not sure I'm willing to blow 300 bucks on it...
Onigiri - June 15, 2005 12:22 AM (GMT)
I definitly want the extra features, and wonder what's different with the special edition FFVII international, but the Cloud and motorcycle figure (which should be probably costing most of it) is something I'm not interested...If only it came without it...but really, I'm just to cheap (hehe) probably hope someone rips it..*cough
EDIT: I just realized it said 'FFVII: International with special edition label sooo, I don't think its anything exta *disapointed*
Clorith - June 15, 2005 10:53 AM (GMT)
Gah, can I get it at 50 bucks off without the game? Mine's working just fine, thank you very much.
yin-chan - June 15, 2005 12:26 PM (GMT)
ooh....the limited edition sounds sooo good...I really want it..
but why is it so expensive?!?!??!! they're trying to squeeze money out of us again!!!

As I understand it, they
are offering an "in-between" package, but I don't think it includes the anime. :( The package for $275 is actually the "Ultimate Edition". There's also a "Limited Edition" as well as the "Standard Edition". From
RPGamer and
SquareNet:
Along with the normal version of the movie, Japan plans on seeing not only a limited edition, but also an ultimate edition.
The limited edition box set will be sold on a first-come-first-serve basis, meaning that once supplies run out only the regular version will be available. The limited edition includes a bonus DVD featuring 30 minutes of footage from the original Final Fantasy VII, the movie's own trailer, and the trailer for the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. Both the normal and limited editions will retail in Japan for 4,800 yen (roughly $45). Pre-orders began several days ago on Amazon.co.jp.
While this might sound like a lot, it pales in comparison to the offerings of the ultimate edition box set.----------------------------------------
EDITAdvent Children.net has published two photos from the anime titled, "Last Order Final Fantasy VII" which comes with the Ultimate Edition. The pictures were originally published in Shounen Jump magazine.

The pictures appear to be of Zack and Tifa. Other pictures in Shounen Jump are of some of the merchandise which comes with the ultimate edition of AC, including the model figures of Cloud and Fenrir, the cap, and the keychain:

It's not an anime version of AC. It's an anime with the FFVII characters that's only 10 minutes long. We haven't been told anything about the anime's story, but the name of it is "Last Order Final Fantasy VII".

I think the Nibelheim scene, An.
Cloti's were excited that anime would go to that shipping, I think.
Onigiri - June 21, 2005 03:30 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I think its that scene...you can even see fire in the background of Tifa, and Cloud hiding (from Tifa?) ...aah, just too much about that. BC, CC! Now the last order? I really hope the scene seen in CC was not an important part of the game..
EDIT: My mistake about the fire. Saw it again. But still, you can see her clothes and it is the same as that time.
