She smiled when he was happy. She was sad when he was upset. She loved him, but he never loved her. Her name was Tifa Lockheart. The man she loved was Cloud Strife. He was an ex member of SOLDIER.

He left their small village of Nebelheim to be like the Great Sephiroth. She would look in the newspapers every day looking for news about her lover. She never found any news about him at all. When two years past and he didn’t come home, she was heartbroken. He was her childhood love.

Seven Years Later

Cloud Strife, now twenty-eight sat in the lonely inn in Kalm. He was happy. He didn’t want to be bothered. He stared out the window. He would only glance back at the stairs that led to his room for one purpose. He was always expecting to see his angel. He laugh, her smile, her skin, everything. He missed her so much.

“Aeris....” he said lowly.

He turned to the stairs when he heard footsteps. Black hair tied back with a blue hair tie, a white tank top, a black mini skirt and brown boots.

“What do you want Tifa?” he asked agitated. She put on a smile. Cloud sighed at this.

“I want you.” she replied. He stood up, but stayed where he was. She then walked over to him and started rubbing her finger in a circular motion on his chest. “Come on Cloud. We both know you want to.” she stated.

“No I don’t.” he replied blankly.

“Oh, why not?” she asked trying to seduce him.

“Tifa! Get it through your thick skull. I don’t love you! It was only a childhood thing. I could care less about you now!” he yelled.

“Cloud. I know that you will always have feelings for me. You can say what you want, but I know your true feelings.” Tifa said wrapping her arms around him. He pushed her away violently and walked out of the room.

Once outside Kalm, he walked straight to Midgar. He hoped that Tifa wouldn’t find him where he was going.

He felt as if a part of him was still there. He longed to go back whenever he could. He just hadn’t been for a while. He wanted to kick himself for not doing so.

But as he thought about it, a part of her was still there also. He smiled thinking about her. How could he not? She was beautiful, kind, and smart. She always found a way to make him smile. He was always happy when he was with her.

‘Her church!’ Cloud’s thoughts yelled. He was hesitant to enter. How would she act? What would she do? All the questions that couldn’t be answered until he walked inside.

The doors creaked open as he pushed. The sweet smell of Aeris’ flowers welcomed him.

“Aeris, I’m here.” he said lowly. Even though he said it low, his voice seemed to echo throughout the church. It gave him chills. A woman in a pink dress turned around. He walked in just a bit more.

“Cloud!” she said happily. He ran up to her and hugged her sentimentality. He missed her so much.

“I’m so sorry that I haven’t been to see you recently.” he said.

“It’s okay. As long as you are here with me now.” Aeris replied smiling brightly. She left his arms and grasped his hand. “Come here, I want to show you something.” she said. He nodded and they walked to her flowerbed in the middle of the church.

Red flowers, purple flowers, white flowers, and yellow flowers shad started to bloom.

“I still find it funny how the flowers have no problem growing here, but they won’t grow anywhere else.” Aeris said laughing a bit. Cloud looked over to her and smiled.

“Aeris, there is something that I can’t keep bottled up inside.” Cloud said suddenly. She let go of his hand and faced him still smiling. “Aeris.... I love you. I’ve loved you ever since I met you. I couldn’t hide it any longer.” Cloud said. He was expecting something else than her silence. He looked at her. She had a hint of passion in her eyes.

“Cloud... something told me that you’ve always felt the same. I couldn’t help but feel the same way.” Aeris said after a few minutes of silence. He hugged her tightly as if he was never going to see her again.

The doors creaked open again. Cloud let go of Aeris to see who entered. Tifa was standing there, just watching the two of them.

“What do you want Tifa?” Cloud asked with a hint of aggravation in his voice. She didn’t say anything, but he could tell from where he was standing, tears where starting to form in her eyes. That’s what she was. A big crybaby.

“Cloud! You’re cheating on me... with that bitch!?” Tifa yelled her tears starting to fall freely.

“As I’ve said before, we were never together and we never will be! You need to drop the act and stop your wishful thinking. I don’t love you anymore. I told you that it was a childhood crush.” Cloud said raising his voice. He sighed when she started walking towards them. When she got within reach of Cloud, she raised her hand and went to slap him. He grabbed her wrist and stopped her.

“Tifa, I love Cloud. You can’t change that. You aren’t going to come between us.” Aeris piped up.

“I don’t care what you have to say Aeris. I love Cloud and he’s loves me. There isn’t anything you can say to change that!” Tifa said storming out of the church.

“What was she talking about?” Aeris asked.

“I don’t know.” Cloud responded looking at Aeris smiling.

It's really cool, but its a pity Tifa is like that... I really like her character... She reminds me of Clotis o_0
