In other words, there are always plans but nothing has been set in stone yet, at least as far as I know (I'm not in charge of these contests). :P

Andina's right... nothing is set in stone yet. We usually let one or two months go by before starting another one. So be looking for the next one sometime around late July or early August or.... ^_^

You could make the RP contest already!! Some only started now, but others have more than ten pages, and believe me, thats a lot!! The update section has become a chat section, so its pretty hard to keep updating, so we only do it when someone asks. How bout start it next month? :)

I have an idea for a fanfiction, so I hope that you guys keep the fanfiction ^__^. I'll be waiting.

Considering some RP's are much farther then others (I.E. Lure of Oblivion has 20 pages and is pretty far along, while say Final Fantasy VII: Incarnate Of The 8th Knight hasn't even started), how would/can you compare the two?

Or are we just starting totally new RP's for this contest only? Also, considering there are only so many RP'ers and that most of us are a part of at least two, how is it going to be...well...judged? :lol:

I think we could do an RP Contest with categories for Best Character, Best Story (so far), and Best Roleplayer? Since some stories are longer than others, maybe we should specify that RP's have to be a certain number of pages before they can be entered in the Contest?

We could do a forum vote for the judging. Whatdye think? :rolleyes:

And I just realized something. SJ, you're the last person to post in all of the RP's except two of them. :lol:

If we can run the Doujinshi contest with only two Doujinshi's, we can run the RP contest with only 3 RP's. :lol: :P

One thought: if we let it be judged by a forum vote, how many forum members will vote? Will the members involved in the RP's be the only members voting? Or does that matter? :unsure: That may happen, since many more people voted in the fanart and doujinshi contests than in the fanfiction contest.

Well, I would like to say that the people involved aren't allowed to vote, considering that it'd be a bit unfair, since they'll most likely be biased (or maybe not, I don't know :lol:). However, unless we can convince a majority of the non-RPing forum to read through all those pages of RP, then I doubt it'd be a success.

The categories are Best Character, Best Story and Best Overall, right? We could have the people in the RP itself vote for the Best Character from each RP and maybe have one big contest between the final 3? I'm not quite sure how to handle the other two areas though... :wacko:

I was thinking of best character in terms of how they come across in the story. You decide which character you like best in a game by playing the game, so why not decide which character you like best by reading the stories? :unsure:

By best roleplayer, I meant whose posts you like the most in the stories because they bring their character(s) alive, they have great ideas, they write well, etc. It's sorta like an award for best actor/actress. Who does the best job at roleplaying?

Agree with you, but I just think that the bios is also important... cause the way you make the characters history, the looks... I think its also important. And, of course, the way he acts on the story. And on the bios the player could add what he did so far in the rp, cause then the members would have to read that all... Wouldn't it be good something like this...

I understand why bio's are important... but I think people have enough to read as it is. I think people will just read the bio's, vote on a character, and skip reading the story. For that reason, I think it should be from the story.

IF we use the bio's, though, I really think the people who made the character should provide the information. The bio's provided in the updates should be all the information people need.

I agree with anastar :) the story will be a great start to understand the characters abit more :)

I have to say FF7 by Naseroth is going on fairly well, i wonder if you can limit the entries to 5, so that Rps that all ready far ahead will have achance to participate??

The limit IS five pages. Now we have 4 rps with Nase's one. Lets post more in FF8 and maybe we'll have 5!! :woot:
