A doujinshi is basically a Japanese comic book where characters from different games are often used. This one's about Cloud and Aerith, and some other characters from FFVII. There's over 30 pages to it... the whole doujinshi was scanned in. Just click on the cover to view the next page, then use the Next button to go through all the pages.

Mother is about Cloud looking for Aerith during his whole life
but she doesn't want him to kill himself
he only finds her when dying of old age (at the end of the book).

I actually started a translation of Mother a while ago, I'll have to look through my old computer to see if I can find it again.

I did scanlate the first 6 pages (with dialogue in Japanese so actually started from page 2~3), though:

I will probably end up looking at it tomorrow and finish things I want to change. Such as:

- I didn't do some of the little dialogues outside the bubbles 'cause I can't read them on this monitor.
- I'll probably think of a better word than 'cleaner-uper' later (it's late!) :lol:
- I'll fix any mispellings
- 'Hikki' is 'Hii-chan' from the game, she's a little girl in the church. I don't remember what they called her in English version, though (a *coughimaginarycough* cookie if you can guess where 'Hikki' is from :lol:).
- Elmyra's line might be off *needs to go to sleep*
- There's probably a much better sound for crying than 'ug, uug', I've just completely forgotten it :lol:

The little girl wasn't given a name in the English version of the game, if that's the little girl who was in the church taking care of the flowers when Aerith's ghost appeared in Disk Two.

I've been skipping the text-less pages, but I just though the last image was a nice way to end this section.

- 'Dark Hero' is a bit too literal, maybe. I'm tempted to change it to 'Knight', except that sounds a bit too much like Batman to me :lol:
- Bed might actually be floor, I need to look into that one
- I added the bit with Cait Sith, it didn't really say who it was talking about
- I did a bad job replacing the the white-with-black-outline text (this is the first thing I've scanlated)
- 'gives a lot' might be something different I just don't know about, that might need looking into as well
- It didn't say who was going to catch a cold, it could be 'us' but I didn't think Cloud would worry enough about a little rain to say that about himself

Hey Clorith, that picture at the end of the Garakuta novel, is that a new picture? It looks so much like the cell phone image of Aeris which is a big hint as to what the AC version of Aeris will look like.

Garakuta is a Japanese artist who draws beautiful fanarts of Cloud and Aerith. The link to Garakuta's site just changed recently, though, and I don't think I have the new link. I know Clorith has the new link, though.
