But back to the topic, yep, I'd definitely take Sefie's advice and go visit Stigmatized. All the T/Ruf you'll ever need. I'm a fan of the pairing too, I think they go really well together, and Tifa could be just the girl to keep Rufus grounded and make sure his arrogance doesn't get out of hand. Tifa could always rely on Rufus to lean on when she needed emotional support too. Plus, the fact that they make a gorgeous couple appeals to my shallow side. :lol:

So, how'd you people end up supporting this couple? Me? It was more of a spur-of-the-moment thing with Zhakeena in month of April of the year 2002. :whistle: I hated both characters back then and only cared for Cloud and Aerith. :whistle:
I was watching fan-made music videos of Final Fantasy 7 on TV (yes, they air those music videos here in my country... but on a mobile phone chat channel) and saw Tifa and said, "I don't like her. She really bugs me because she's with Cloud..."
And then Zhakeena's sister was so obsessed with the Turks back then (especially with Tseng) and she started calling everyone names, like Zhakeena became Rude, and I was stuck with "Rufus" and I got annoyed. I said, "Ew! I don't like that block-head!" and the name stuck ever since then... *yes even up to now* But hey, you first see Rufus ShinRa in the game as blocks, right? Just like the rest of the gang :lol:
And then I just told Zhakeena, "Why don't we do a TifaxRufus?"
And she's like, "What?!" she thought it was absurd.
And then I started searching for fics on that "couple" and then realized that it's an existing couple. :blush:

Well, when I joined this website. I really hated tifa, because I thought that she was trying to take Cloud away from Aerith. And then read about all these Clotis, and I feel sorry for them, because Aerith is the only one for Cloud.:P Then I thought about Tifa. I think tifa is a nice girl, but shes not right for him. So I thought of pairings for her, and the first one I thought of was Tifa/Rufus. And then that was it- Tifa and Rufus! Tifa has a warm heart, just right to melt rufus's cold one. Everyone is happy! :lol:

You know it just came to me last night, I had no reason for Tifa+Rufus... because it was really just a spur-of-the-moment thing :o
When I thought of it, I was like, "Why would Tifa even like Rufus?" and "Why would Rufus even like Tifa?"

Same reason why I am open to TifaxRude, TifaxReno, TifaxVincent, TifaxSephiroth, TifaxBarret, TifaxWHOEVER-as-long-as-it's-not-Cloud-Strife. ;)
And I hate it when people accuse me of liking TifaxRufus because of this reason: "Because Aerith is for Cloud and vice-versa but Tifa is lonely so pair her up with a hot eligible bachelor like Rufus ShinRa who's rich and powerful and and they can make babies all day long and all night long! Whee!" ... and mostly, the Cloti are the ones telling me that. Such disrespect <_<'

I totally agree that Tifa shouldnt go with Cloud, but I think Rufus and Tifa are kind of cute...I read fanfics on how Rufus never wanted to do the stuff he did, but because of peer pressure he had to. Maybe thats true? ;) My fanfiction is gonna have a bit of Rufus in it. I'm writing the second chapter today! :P

Okay, so when you like a couple, you don't necessarily TAKE IT SERIOUSLY like base it from facts. Like me, I like TifaxRufus for fun.
And please don't try inserting any BarretxTifa or TifaxReno discussions and why they're meant to be whatsoever here because we're talking about RufusxTifa here and it's like destroying the sanctity of the topic itself. <_<' And I feel insulted. Get the idea?

You can use your imagination. Since FF7 is so open to interpretation, you can see a lot of "holes" in the dialogue and actions of each character...

You know, I cannot help but notice that there is too much despise with Rufus/Tifa around this forum and everywhere else I go. People don't say it, but when they say stuff about Rufus/Tifa that seems nasty/offending to those people who support this pairing, well, I can't help but think otherwise.
I've been receiving a lot of attacks from the supporters of Barret/Tifa lately and it's beginning to tick me off to the point that I could almost HATE that pairing, while I'm not even doing anything or saying anything except defending why I like Rufus/Tifa because I feel like I have to because I hate it when people tend to push me around just because my preference is effing different from theirs!!!!!! :mad:

I do think we should respect Tifa and Zhakeena's feelings about RufusxTifa. They've both put a lot of hard work into Stigmatized, and it's an excellent site. They've written some excellent RufusxTifa fics, too. Tifa L and Zhakeena, please let me know if anyone shows disrespect for your ideas about RufusxTifa.

I don't see anything wrong with the pairing. I actually really like it! Rufus needs some lovin' too!

'Kay, I admit, the primary reason I liked Rufus/Tifa is because they...looked good together. But that was just at first. Then I started searching for the pairing on the 'Net, and found Stigmatized, read some fics...well, I began to see the potential in it. Tifa likes to 'push' people. (I really don't want to say 'nag' :P )She 'pushes' Cloud, a man she cares about, so that he can become her idea of a better person...methinks this 'push' and Tifa's determined nature is just what Rufus needs to take the spikes out of his crazy crazy heart :lol:
Also,some people seem to think that in order for Rufus/Tifa to work, one of them has to do a complete 180 in personality.Sez who? Okay, perhaps Rufus needs to mellow out a little...but IMHO, Tifa would find a good challenge in his 'crazy' personality...it would add more spark to their relationship ^_^

I think it would be really good, if Rufus kind of died, but Cloud sacrificed himself for Rufus so him and Tifa would be together. Then Cloud would be with Aerith. everybody wins. I think it was also in a fanfic I read, about the field of flowers and a white thorny tree?

I'm a fan of Barret/Tifa (among other Tifa pairings), but I just wanted to say that I have absolutely nothing against Rufus/Tifa, or anyone who supports it (apart from leannan but that's a very different story). If I've done anything to offend or hurt you, or attack your view in any way, then I'm terribly sorry. I love fanon pairings, and I don't think anyone should be made to feel ashamed or inferior just because of their preference. Fans of any pairing shouldn't have to feel pushed around, or feel themselves under peer pressure to change preference. I'm sure everyone around here really does appreciate your words and your opinions, Tifa L, and if any Barret/Tifa fan here has made you feel slighted somehow, I'm sure they're very sorry. We're a big community here, so we're bound to have different views on certain pairings, but we all want to get on with each other and I'm sure that offence is the last thing on anyone's minds. We all try to be more open-minded here, and your Rufus/Tifa preference (and anyone else's) are more than welcome. ^_^

I gotta say, though: don't take your frustration out on Barret/Tifa. Don't blame the pairing for the way any fan behaves! :sad:

Well I like the RT pairing due to the influence of my friend Tifa Lockheart, known as generalquistis who writes too much RT fics enough to do some subliminal persuasion on the reader...
I never liked the pairing before and I used to hate Tifa Lockheart to the bone. But thanks to those fics and to the Stigmatized website, I started liking it. Haha.

I was thinking of making a RufusxTifa forum. ^_^ I dunno if it would attract enough people though... <_< are there many RufusxTifa fans?

I actually really like Tifus, I kinda stumbled on it by accident, and I thought it was really creative and fun. I was reading a fanfic of them, and I really thought it was a cool pairing, and the fic was well writen, which gave bonus points! I also am quite fond of another Tifa couple, but I still really like Tifa and Rufus! :wub:

Well we could start a forum for them, AR. ^_^' So what if it's just a number of people visiting there? At least we're having fun by ourselves there. Heehee. ^_^'
