Title: Cait Sith's Prediction
EnglishRose - June 11, 2005 10:32 AM (GMT)
You all remember when Cait Sith first met up with the team? Cait Sith offered a prediction. So Cloud asked if they were going to get Sephiroth. He got it wrong twice, but on the last one, he managed to go quite deep:
QUOTE (Cait Sith)
"What you pursue will be yours, but you will lose something dear."
Hmmmmm...... let us think.... what in the world does that mean? Lose something dear??? I had Aeris as my partner when I went to the Gold Saucer, and when Cloud read it.....
Cloud
"What the...?"
Aeris
"What?"
Cloud didnt say anything, so Aeris had to read over his shoulder.
Then she read it out:
QUOTE (Cait Sith)
"What you pursue will be yours, but you will lose something dear."
Cloud didnt read it out, because I think Cloud didnt want Aeris to know, because from that point, he knew Aeris would die. Because she was most dear to him. Why else would Cloud go after her so fast after the dream that she spoke to him in?
He would try to avoid it! ^_^

Of course Cloud and Aeris were meant to be, it comes down to the fortune Cait Sith read in the Temple of The Ancients. He said that their stars were glowing and that they were perfect for eachother. The only real thing that stopped their love was stupid Sephiroth! But, in Advent Children, I'm thinking something might happen between them in the ending. Not in the scene where Aeris talks to Cloud, but in the ending. (That's when the romance stuff usually happens.) It's also quite predictable if you think about it yourself, Aeris and Cloud would've got together because that sort thing between the hero and the heroine is always predictable.

I think Cait Sith's prediction somehow proves who really is for Cloud. I mean the lines are self explanatory.

I don't think he knew for sure that Aerith was going to die, I think he had somewhat of an idea that something bad would happen. To me, all I thought was 'Something bad is going to happen'. And when Aerith ran away is his dream, I knew that bad thing would happen to her....
Especially when Sephiroth came too, then I knew for sure something horrible was going to happen to Aerith, which got me very nervous. I kept on thinking that I wouldn't be able to save her....and I couldn't save her.
But I don't believe it's Cloud's fault, I think its Sephiroth's fault!!!!

Very good point. :) My goodness, I was a newbie when I posted this, in the middle of last year... :lmao:
Well, my opinions have changed since then. No fear. :fangirl:

This thread needs to be at the bottom of the pile. ;)

I think Cait Sith's prediction was kind of a coincidence, then again it could have been Fate. I mean, Cait Sith didn't know that Aeris was going to die...To be honest, when I first read Cait Sith's prediction, I didn't know what he was talking about :dunno:
Hint: There was also a fortune telling machine that gave a hint to Caith Sith's prediction at the Wonder Square in Gold Saucer. I think it was something similar to what Cait Sith had said :dunno: ...:lmao:

I just played through that part today! The fortune given by the machine was "take caution in relationships." Being the psychotic fangirl that I am, I frickin' squeed. :D
My personal theory is that Sephiroth thought he was being funny and stuck a fortune in there, then stabbed Aeris and laughed in Cloud's face. But hell, I also think Cloud assassinated Mr. Clean, so whatever.

........:lmao: that's wrong...but a funny cause. What if :sephy: really did do that to Cloud  and he wanted Cloud all to himself (yaoi)? ewwww.....:lmao:
Anyway, I though the fortune telling machine hint was a little easier to understand for some people.. :cleris: :fangirl:

I agree with you. Poor Tifa :giggle:!! I one time put her on the team with Cloud and Aeris at the Temple of the Ancients, and when Tifa heard Cait Sith's fortune, she wasn't too happy about it  :giggle:. Her reactions were just humorous!! :lmao:
