To be honest, I don't think Cloud and Aeris ever "did it" because:

1. They never showed it in the game (I know it's not a good reason)
2. It would take all the innocence out of the relationship

To be honest, Cloud and Aeris never ESTABLISHED the relationship, even though they felt it, they both loved each other and Aeris was the one who got the closest to saying "I love you." I have just read a subject on this forum about Aeris's words: "I want to meet you" and that it could mean a romantic and/or sexual realtionship. I sincerely hope that they never did, because sex is a very delicate matter, and Cloud was sometimes tense around her at times. :cloud: :aeris:

Think about it, when you were young, and you first learnt about how mummy and daddy made you, did you feel innocent anymore? Your life changed. My life certainly did! (and I am actually against sex before marriage, so this is my opinion--- save it for someone you love) :cleris:

The point being made was that it's just as possible that it happened between Cloud and Aerith after their Date or in Costa del Sol as it is to think it happened under the Highwind.

The other point in that thread is that Aerith wasn't saying, "I want to meet... you" because she wanted to get to know the real Cloud. The Cloti's like to believe that because they think that Cloud was Zack in Disk One. However, "I want to meet... you" can also mean that Aerith wanted a romantic and/or sexual relationship with Cloud. In that context, Aerith actually meant, "I want to be your sweetheart".

hmm....if "I want to meet you" can be a sexual meaning....then does that not mean there MAY have been a TINY possibility Cloud and Aeris made love after their date in the Gold Saucer???

Cait Sith swiped the Keystone after their Date. But what happened after Aerith says, "I want to meet... you" and the screen fades out to fireworks? There was plenty of time for a kiss to happen between them. What happened after they returned to the Ghost Hotel? All we saw was Cloud standing by the window in his room the next morning, so how do we know what happened?

If it was possible for cuddling, kissing, and/or sex to happen between Cloud and Tifa under the Highwind, then it was also possible for it to happen between Cloud and Aerith after their Date.

I agree! I think it's even more possible that Cloud and Aerith made love after their date. True, there's nothing solid to prove it but there's nothing to negate it either. But as for the bangin' under the Highwind theory, there's oodles of proof that it didn't happen.
Now, I'm not waving banners around that says "Cloud and Aerith DID IT!". I don't even like the idea of them doing it after their date. I'm just saying that if you're a fanfic writer/doujinshi artist with lots of imagination, then there still is the possibility ;)

It takes just as much imagination to think that Cloud and Tifa cuddled, kissed, or had sex under the Highwind as to think that Cloud and Aerith cuddled, kissed, or had sex during or after their Date.... ;)

Cloud and Aerith were also alone in the bedroom at the Inn in Costa Del Sol while Tifa was talking to Johnny. How do we know what happened there? It takes no more imagination to think that something happened than it does to imagine something happening under the Highwind.

If you ask me, I would say that they didn't.

Seriously, I don't think making love was factor in any point of the game. More than anything, the game is portraying love in the purest sense. Aerith's unwavering love for the planet, Cloud's strong love (again romantic or platonic :rolleyes: ) for a dead flowergirl that drove him all the way to defeat Sephiroth...etc etc

Very honestly, I agree with you. I also think that IF Cloud kissed any woman at any point during the game, we would have seen it in FMV like they did in FFVIII and FFX.

However, the point I was trying to make is that if the Cloti's want to claim that Cloud did it with Tifa under the Highwind, Cloud had every bit as much opportunity to do it with Aerith on his Date with her as well as in other points during Disk One.

The fact is, there is a lot of things that disprove Cloud doing it with Tifa. He has his arms rigidly folded when they wake up in the morning, Tifa rests her head on his shoulder(when they supposedly have been bonking all night), the ground was full of sharp broken rocks etc.
So shat's to say that Cloud didn't do it with Aerith? Certainly there's nothing to disprove it!

Very true, but the Cloti's go beyond just claiming sex between them... they think that Cloud and Tifa actually proclaimed their love to one another that night. :puke: All you say is very true, along with Cloud's manner to her. IF they had "discovered their love" for one another the night before, why isn't he gazing lovingly into her eyes the next morning? Why doesn't he take her into his arms? I doubt that Cloud would be acting so nonchalant if something so significant had taken place the night before.

The thing is, aren't significant moments such as telling someone that you love them, or a first kiss, shown in FMV in Final Fantasies? Tidus and Yuna in Moonglow lake, for example, or Squall embracing Rinoa as he rescues her from the Sorceress Memorial, or Squall kissing Rinoa at the end of the game. Stuff like that is shown in FMV, and there was no FMV for the Highwind scene. If something significant had happened in that scene, it would have been shown in FMV.

I think they didn't make love; however, I think Cloud and Aeris were slowly showing that they loved each other. I can't back this up with any evidence, it's just an opinion. Well, I don't neccesarily believe in only having sex after marriage, but I don't think they did it. I mean, whether he did it with Tifa or not wouldn't matter to me, one way or the other, but I wouldn'y like it if he did it with Aerith. With Tifa it would only be like getting releif physically. With Aerith it would be more emotional/mentally fulfilling. Okay, the game didn't even show a kiss. They are obviously in love, but it didn't have a bit of kissing. Don't you think it would at least show that? And to me Aerith seems so pure. I think she would be a virgin and she wouldn't have sex with Cloud after one date. Maybe I'm old fashion, but if they would have done it, it would have been after a long time, driven by passion, and incredibly romantic. I think Aerith and Cloud would have done it eventually, of course, but not so soon. If they did do it, they would have at least show something to give us more proof, one way or the other.

In answer to the original question: No, I don't believe the relationship developed in that way, even behind the scenes. I don't even think it progressed to a kiss, and that's what I like about the C/A relationship - that all their intimacy was emotional. It's truly sad that the relationship could never go further, but it's the beauty of it too. Their growing feelings are expressed through other ways. They could be close and develop a strong bond before it became a definite physically romantic relationship. It was an affair of the heart. :wub:

I disagree. As CG likes to say, Cloud isn't a typical hormonal guy. :P He isn't the sort to jeopardise his friendship with Tifa because of physical release. He doesn't go looking for physical release; that kind of need doesn't really figure into his life. If he ever had sex with Tifa, it would be because he was in love with her (however unlikely I think it is), because I don't believe he could be so intimate with someone he didn't care about very deeply, or use a close friend for sex. :(

Something else I felt like addressing:

I don't mean to offend either of your personal views on sex (and if I do so unintentionally, then I'm sorry), but personally I disagree with this. I actually think that Aeris is the one playable girl in FFVII who isn't a virgin. She seems far more romantically experienced and mature than both Tifa and Yuffie. I just think that having dated Zack (and believing that she was in love with him) at the ripe age of seventeen (and I presume that he was a bit older), their relationship would have gone as far as sex. Both Aeris and Zack are caring, impulsive, live-for-the-moment types of people who care for each other, and I think Aeris' spiritual disposition would have made her more likely to embrace her feelings fully.

It's actually something I like in the C/A relationship if it ever had the chance to become a sexual relationship - the fact that the girl isn't a virgin, but the guy is. Cloud doesn't have to be a slick, experienced macho type of guy, just himself, and Aeris would accept him. It's such a reversal of the cliche. ^_^
