Description: Information
Anastar - June 9, 2005 11:06 AM (GMT)
Advent Children.net has translated information on the limited edition of AC, including where it can be pre-ordered:
Information on the Limited Edition at Advent Children.net:
FF7 AC First Print Limited Edition, Preorders Begun at Various Online Shops!
Preorders for the FF7AC DVD Version – First Print Limited Edition have begun. (I think this first print limited edition is different from the Ultimate Limited Edition Nomura has mentioned). Planned to be included in the First Print is a “First Print Gorgeous Package,” plus bonus footage of “Final Fantasy VII Digest (30 minutes – planned - Digest Footage of the event scenes from the original Playstation game), “FFVII AC Official Trailer – 2 minutes, and Compilation of Final Fantasy VII Trailer – 10 minutes (planned) (Trailers for all related FFVII products). The normal version only has the bonus footage (FF7 Digest, Trailer, Compilation trailers).
As mentioned, the "First Print Limited Edition" usually means that it includes some bonus item and once the first print is sold out, a standard version is sold. For example, some anime series "First Print Limited Edition" comes with a box to hold the whole series, or a picture label on the disc. Latter prints will have just the DVD (no box) or a plain printed disc.More Details and Pre-ordering Information at Advent Children.net:

Everything will find it's way to the wonderful world of internet soon enough. I couldn't even afford the limited edition if it even would be possible to purchase it from all the way from europe.
Anastar - June 9, 2005 09:32 PM (GMT)
It sounds awesome, but it's so expensive!!

This is probably a dumb question, but does OVA [original video animation] refer to the original 20 minute version of AC, or does it refer to the original video animation from FFVII?
Starlight Night - June 9, 2005 11:20 PM (GMT)
*sighs* I can't afford it. I saw it before on www.play-asia.com and I thought that it would be cool to own. If you go there, it's like $29.99 for any Americans that are intrested.
Seii Monogatari - June 10, 2005 12:00 AM (GMT)
$30 sounds more reasonable, I was worried. :(
Sefie - June 10, 2005 02:34 AM (GMT)
Try $47.50. But I'm ordering anyways! No amount of money is too much for AC!
I'm jsut not sure if I should order now, or wait a few days and see who else crops up with it. Maybe for less?
Tifa Lockheart - June 10, 2005 07:09 AM (GMT)
That ultimate edition will cost around 14 thousand plus Pesos here in the Philippines... it's so..... VERY unreasonably expensive. Even if I order it in the US, it's still very expensive. I think I'll stick to just the DVD itself without the other goodies <_<'

Cloud Plays Santa, Distributes Limited Edition Goodness06.10.2005

STAFF REPORTER ADRIENNE BECK
Now that an official release date has finally been given to Square Enix's next foray into cinematics, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, it's no surprise that a list of limited edition bonuses has surfaced. Along with the normal version of the movie, Japan plans on seeing not only a limited edition, but also an ultimate edition.
The limited edition box set will be sold on a first-come-first-serve basis, meaning that once supplies run out only the regular version will be available. The limited edition includes a bonus DVD featuring 30 minutes of footage from the original Final Fantasy VII, the movie's own trailer, and the trailer for the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. Both the normal and limited editions will retail in Japan for 4,800 yen (roughly $45). Pre-orders began several days ago on Amazon.co.jp.
While this might sound like a lot, it pales in comparison to the offerings of the ultimate edition box set. This edition will include all the bonuses available in the limited edition plus:
the Cloud/Fenrir (motorcycle) action figure set
a "Making of" video and the special Venice Film Festival version
a cap and t-shirt
the international version of Final Fantasy VII
a key chain of sorts
a "scenario replica" (a source of much confusion on the part of many translators)
The ultimate edition in its entirety will cost a considerable amount more than the limited edition: 29,500 yen (about $275).
Reminder: this news concerns the Japanese version only. There have been no words on the North American bonus goodies as of yet.Source:

We don't know yet. This is all that was said:
