Dear Cloud,
You know that I love you, and I know that you felt more than love for me, and I am happy beyond words. I will wait for you in the world to come, and then we shall always be together.
I also feel I should explain myself. Do you remember when we went to the Temple of the Ancients and saw Tseng there? I have a confession to make. Before I met you or Zack, I grew up with him. And I can honestly say that the feelings we had towards each other were more than friendship. But Shinra sucked him in. He joined the Turks when we were 16, and thus ended my relationship with him. I regret what I felt, for I soon met Zack…
Now Cloud, what I’m about to say may startle you. You’re the only person I truly love, and my feelings for you are beyond what words can say. But I loved Zack, and we got engaged when I was 17. A few days later, he went off on a job with Sephiroth, and another special member of soldier, who Zack said was really keen to join First Class. And then he disappeared. I don’t know how, but I felt within myself that he was dead. I mourned for him, and a few years later, I had started a business of selling flowers in Midgar. That’s when I met you…
I want to make a pledge. I, Aeris Gainsborough, a the last of the line of the Cetra, have promised to always remain faithful to the man she loves, Cloud Strife. I also promise to always love him and always help him in time of need. I also promise to make sure that no harm will come to him and always watch over him. I love him.

If I told you something very dear to me heart, would you promise not to laugh? I’ve been hiding it for a long time now and frankly, I’m about to explode from it. I really don’t know how to say it, but I’ll give it a try.

When we were sitting on the slide in the park and you saw Tifa come out of the Slums, I really thought that you loved her. I wasn’t wanting to intrude on your love. But something inside me told me to do so anyway. I know I’ve done wrong, but can you forgive me?

When you laughed at me for saying that I was cut out to be in SOLDIER, I felt so happy. I never thought that I could make someone laugh.

You made me so happy. It’s a type of happy that I thought I could never be again. I feel so stupid. I’ve never done this before. Hearing you laugh, seeing you smile. As long as you are happy, then I am.

I joined AVALANCHE because I loved you Cloud. There, I said it. I love you. I wish that I could have told you before, but I never knew how to say it. When I’m with you, I feel like I’m in a dream. I feel like I could defeat any monster that got in our way.

Can you understand how I feel?
