Advent Children.net has translated the new character profiles which have been included on the Before Crisis website:

Aerith
A young girl with a mysterious aura who resides in the Slums.
Being one of the "Ancients", beings with knowledge of the "Promised Land",
she leads a life of being pursued by both the Shin-Ra Company,
seeking to profit from the Promised Land, and AVALANCHE
who want to prevent them from doing so.

Tifa
A young girl wou lives in Nibelheim.
She guides the investigative team to the Nibelheim mako reactor.
As a childhood friend of Cloud, one of Shin-Ra's troops, she becomes
caught up in the Nibelheim incident together with him.

Hojo
An insane scientist affiliated with the Shin-Ra Company.
He justifies his actions based on whether or not
they will satisfy his profound desire for knowledge.

If it will, then he has no objections disregarding ethics
or indulging in inhuman courses of actions.

Male (Fighter)
A skilled detective who solved many difficult cases.
His secret is much prided powerful fighting skills[*].
Using these skills he has captured a lot of criminals.
He's kind-hearted and hot-blooded. That personality brought some negative consequences and got him into trouble.
Because of this he decided to join the Turks, who had been scouting him for a long time.

Advent Children.net also reports that Chapter 13 of Before Crisis is scheduled for release on May 31st. The release of Chapters 14 and 15 are scheduled for June, along with a "Gold Saucer Application".

Odd, they claim Tifa to be Cloud's child hood friend

They don't wanna contradict what they say about their relationship in the manuals.

I agree with Cloud's Girl. Let them think what they want. Along with the other Cloti's.

Oh, and it says in the FF7 manual that Cloud was Tifa's "childhood friend". <_< Maybe at this point in the game Cloud doesn't know that he's Tifa's "childhood friend". :whistle:

Well, how close does "childhood friend" really mean? There's only two people that Cloud called a friend in FFVII. One was Zack... guess who the other one was?

Cloud and Cid weren't all that close, yet Cloud calls Cid a friend when they rescue him on board the Rocket. So much for "childhood friend" meaning anything. ;)

I'm glad they have Aerith's profile too! Does that mean that soon, she'll be in one of the chapters too? :)

I don't think it has anything to do with when it takes places, seeing as her AC profile uses the same term. It's just a word to easily describe their relationship without resorting to something cumbersome and more on-the-nose like "that girl he used to live next door to".

I agree with you, Wilhelm... I don't think it necessarily means they were close.

I wonder what this "Gold Saucer Application" is that they'll introduce in June? :unsure:

yeh tifa and cloud hardly knew each other when they were little pretty much they only knew that they were neighbors and that they were there lol i think cloud was closest to barret aeris and i guess vincent becuase nobody really talked to vincent except cloud lol
