Vincent, alone and peaceful, crawled into his coffin trying to get some sleep. His journey with Cloud and the others was a hard one, butnow, he could finally rest. His atonement had come when they defeated Sephiroth.
"Finally, I may get to see you..." he said closing his eyes.

He awoke minutes later. He couldn't sleep. He threw off the coffin lid and sat up.
'Should I have stayed with them?' he thought as he now crawled out. He thought about it for a few more minutes and finally left the ShinRa Mansion in search of Cloud and the others.

Elena walked in the streets of Midgar. She was bored and wanted to find Reno. He has some important infornation for her.

She sighed putting some of her hair behind her ear.
"Reno, you're pissing me off." she said lowly.
"Excuse me ma'am. Would you like to buy a flower?" a woman asked. Elena had seen her before. Her name was Aeris Grainbourgh. Her boss, Tesng had had a fancy for her.
"I don't have any time for your petty flowers." Elena said and walked away. She sighed once again.

"Pstt... Elena..." a voice said. Elena darted her blue eyes to the source of the voice.
"It's about time you got here." she said leaning against a wall. Reno looked at her with his green eyes.
"Yeah, about that...."
"I don't want to hear your excuses." she said rasing her voice. She had become in a higher rank than Reno and ever since then, thats all she would do to him. Reno sighed.
"Most of them have stayed here, but one has left. He didn't tell the others." Reno said. He was of couse talking about Cloud and the others.
"What about the one in red?" she asked.
"Oh him, Vincent Valentine... he went back to the Mansion in Nebliheim." he replied.
"Then that's out destination." she said.

The battle with sephiroth had finally came to an end. But son afte, I couldn't come to grip with what I had put my friends through...all the confusion and frustration of me being in Soldier...Zack's death, Zeris seconds from Death, and Sephiroth. I couldn't live with myself if I went abck to them...there better off living life without me.

I thought this to myself as I drove out of Midgar, not telling anyone that i had left. I left in search of a place to live quietly..alone, some place where i couldnt hurt anyone or anything. A Place...to call home.

Vincent walked out of the Mansion. Smelling the fresh air, he continued to walk.

"Who is that?"
"I didn't think that anyone lived in there."
"Daddy, is he a vampire?"

Those are just some of the comments that he would hear as he walked. He didn't care. Their thoughts ment nothing to him.


"A long road is ahead of you Vincent Valentine. You better be prepared." he said to himself and left the small village. A few people watched him until he couldn't be seen anylonger.



'A car.' he thought. He stood still as it came apon him. He glanced at the person driving and he caught the slight glimpse of Cloud's hair. He rushed to catch up with the car. He then scowled the fact the he was faster than the car and cursed Hojo who had experimented on him earlier in his life. He got in front of it and Cloud was forced to stop the car.

"Elena, I'm hungry." Reno wined.
"I don't care what you are. Our orders were to find Vincent remember?!" she snapped back. Reno didn't say anything, but hung his head in defeat. He gave up trying to comprimise with her long ago.

Outside Midgar, Reno and Elena ran across a red cloaked man. He was stopping a car.
"That him?" Elena asked.
"Yeah, but be car-"
"I can take him." she said getting out her gun. Elena was like Reno long ago. Willing to stop at nothing to get the job done, even if it ment her life. She sighed at ran toward the man.

"Vincent Valentine, you are under attrest by the ShinRa Corp." she said sounding like she was in command of the situation.
"I have nothing to do with ShinRa anymore." Vincent replied.
"I don't care what you are or what you used to be. You are coming with me." she said.
"You think so?" he said. Elena didn't say anything, she just held her gun at his face. He put his arms up in a surrender fasion. "If you think you can take me." he said. He quickly drew his gun and fired one shot off into the sky. "Do you really think so?" he then said. Elena kept her cool and fire off one shot at him. He gracefully dodge it and fired one more shot at her. Reno knocked her out of the way.
"Reno, you bastard. I have it under control." she said.
"But you were going to get shot!" Reno fought back. Elena looked at him shocked. This was the first time in six months that he's ever faught back to her. SHhe quickly got up and fired another shot hitting him in the arm.
"You're not going to rid me of the titious world so easily." Vincent said and fired one last shot. The bullet flew past Reno who was in front of Elena. The silver amminution then hit her in the left shoulder. She fell to the ground holding her shoulder.
"I told you that you couldn't win." he said and walked back to the car.
"Elena, are you okay?" Reno asked.
"I'm fine." she said digging the bullet out of her wound. "Only a flesh wound." she then said once she got it out. She examined it.
"ShinRa Corp.... looks like you still have a past there my friend." she said. She then fell to her knees and her vision went blurry.

My motorcycle was stopped by vincent. I took my shades off and folded them and returned them into my pokcet. Not really caring that Vincent was beating up on Shinra. I got off the bike and leaned against it folding my arms watching vincent knock elena out.

"..Vincent..."

"Cloud, where you off to?"

I looked to the west not saying a word.

"Off to find a palce to call home?"

I looked at Vincent. "...Maybe."

Vincent sat on the ground watching Reno examine Elena. "What of the others?"

Tweeked my head towards Midgar. "Namely..everyone is there."

Vincent looked at me. "Everyone?"

"Yeah, Aeris, Tifa, Barret, Yuffie, Cid, Caith Sith, the Turks, Refus...everyone came back here after Sephiroth."

"What about Nanake?"

"Probably went back to Cosmo canyon, didn't say much when whe took off though. Something about watching the planet."

"hmm, sounds like him."

"well Vincent, love to stay and chat, but I got places I need to be."

"Very well, you have your reasons." Vincent stood up.

I jumped on the bike, started it, and put my shades back on. Vincent started walking away. I looked at him.

"What are you here for anyway? Thought you went abck to the Mansion to sleep?"

Vincent continues walking to Midgar. "Have some thigns to check."

I shrugged, and drove off. "...whatever...I never really udnerstood him anyways."

Aeris Walked into her church a smile on her face. "I missed this place." She said softly a smile on her face. She then walked over to her flowers mending them. "Peace once again." She wisperd to them smiling.

I drove as far as the marshes. Remembering that the Midgar zolem once lived here. I stepped off the bike, and put my glasses away. I pulled the buster sword off the side of my cycle and stepped into the marshes, and waited.....there was nothing. I walked further in....still nothing. Could teh Midgar Zolem have died off? I droped the thought and returned to the cycle. I grabbed the last grysalte(sp?) green I had and chucked it far into the marshes. It hit the ground and the zolem screeched and flew out from the inside of the marsh.

"...just as I thought." I jumped on the bike and reved it. I drove as fast as I could straight into the marshes.

Right as my bike entered the marsh the golem jumped from the marsh and started chasing me. I drove to the end of the marsh and forgot about the cave. I drove inside the cave making quick turns and flying off ramps and made it out side the cave. I drove to Juno and drove to the top of the city all the way through the city. A sailor stopped and talked to me once I got off the bike.

"woah!"

"Im gonna need a ride."

"to costa de soul?"

"....yeah."

"alright."

We placed my bike on the ship and we boarded.

I thought to myself. "...(well good bye midgar...i dont think ill be coming back any time soon...I need tot hink for awhile, but Ill come abck for you aeris...:"

The boat finally reached its destination and Cloud road the bike out of town, through the moutain trail, and onwards towards his home town. Before reaching it he stopped in an old town...where is god friend once lived. cloud parked the bike outside of town and walked inside. As he walked down the dirt path he saw many graves, and continued, and saw a mother and father putting flowers before a grave. Cloud looked at the grave jsut to realize it was his old friend.

"...Zack." Cloud muttered.

"What was that?" Turned the mother.

"...was an old friend of mine...we were both in...he was in soldier and I was with him on a mission."

The mother ran inside. While the father came over. "He died durning that mission...correct?"

Cloud looked at the ground with his eyes closed. "...yes...Im sorry." Cloud walked out of town and got back on his bike. He drove past cosmo canyon, and through Neibelhiem(sp?) He past rocket town. He stopped on the out skirts of the continent. He got of his bike and looked at the ocean. "...I travel...and travel...and I still find no place to call home...maybe I should return back towards Midgar...if I remember correctly there was house a few miles away from midgar. SO he returned to midgar. Driving apst midgar about 12 miles south, he found the house he recalled. Pulling up the moutain path and parking the bike, he got off and walked towards the house.

"...looks like it sbeen abandoned for ages....this'll do." Cloud then started cleaning up around the house.

Aeris smiled as she mended the flowers. "Cloud...Tifa...Barret, Yuffie....all of you...I miss you." She wisperd her voice low as she mended to the flowers. Aeris walked Out of the church heading to her mothers home.

Cloud finally finished all the cleaning and removing of garbage.

"there all that needs to be done is repairs...that means...ahh crap."

He kicked the dirt for a second and jumpe don his bike.

"The goal was to not come back here." He parked at the Sector 5 Gate. Still having his acess Key from earlier he ran inside. He quickly ran past the church trying to reach secot r6 un-detected by the others, get his supplies and get out.

Aeris spotted Cloud and decided to follow secareatly. "Wonder what he is up to." she mutterd.

((Vinny needs a girl.))

Vincent let Could be as he walked toward Midgar.
"My friends home." he said silently. He walked into the gates. They were open strangly. "Did Cloud return here?" he asked himself. He sighed silently and walked to the chruch where Aeris was at most of the time.
"Aeris, are you here?" he called. It was silent. A little girl came up to him. He smiled at her, trying to be friendly.
"Have you seen Aeris today?" he asked.
"She just left. Who are you?" she asked.
"I'm an old friend of her's. My name is Vincent Valentine." he replied still smiling.
"Oh, so you are him. She talks about you alot." the girl replied.
"Does she?" he asked. The girl nodded and ran off.
"So... I just missed you Aeris..." he said silently after the girl left.

"You!" a voice yelled. Vincent turned around and saw the red haired Reno. "Look what you did to Elena!" he yelled again.
"I was mearly protecting myself." Vincent replied.
"I don't care! You hurt her!" Reno yelled again.
"You don't have to raise your voice." Vincent said remaing calm. Reno looked at him.
"I'm yelling at you, but yet you remain stoilc." Reno said.
"I've been though alot." he replied. "She will live. I aimed and missed her vital organs." he then said. Reno looked at him as if he was reading his mind.
'I've laways hated you.' Reno thought as he put Elena on a nearby bench.
"I don't care what you think of me. We would never be friends." Vincent said suddenly making Reno jump a bit.

Cloud, hiding on the side of the church heard Reno yelling at Vincent.

"..nows a better time then any."

Cloud took off down the path for sector 6. Running through the destroyed area and reaching the gates of sector 7 Cloud took a quick right, and reached the wall market. Cloud walked into the wall market carefully.

"..Im gonna need to move quick."

He ran to the materia guy he once helped.

"Oh hey its youmk, what do ya need?"

"Hammer, and nails."

"Here there all yours, just finished with'em."

"Thanks."

Cloud ran out of the building heading north. He ran to weapon area, and spoke to the guy he once got batteries from.

"Oh, how'd the batteris work?"

"great, I need a generator."

"What for?"

"Power a house with electricity."

"I see...this will take me a few days come back in about a week."

Cloud looked to the left sharply. "...(Damn...fine wahtever) Ok thanks."

Cloud quickly stopped at the gym.

"Hey bro, hows everything?"

"I need some wood, a lot of it to."

"No worries, take all the wood you need."

Big Bro showed hi the secret entrance into the back. Cloud grabbed as much woofd as he could carry and shoved it all in a bag, and quickly ran for his Bike. When he reached teh sector 5 gate, Aeris, Barret, Tifa, and Vincent where around the bike.

"Isnt this clouds bike?" Asked Aeris.

"Yeah I believe so." Said Tifa.

"Where is that spikey headed ass anyways, we had to build sector 7 by ourselfs, I wanna punch him one!" Exclaimed Barret.

"He must be near by, the morots still hot." Said vincent. The 4 walked passed cloud not knowing it. After a few minutes Cloud returned to the bike it and quickly drove off.

Aeris heard the bike ride off. "Umm you guys." She said sweetly turning around. "I think Cloud just left, or his motor cycle got stolen."

Vincent looked back just in time to see Clouds back.
"Yeah, we just missed him." he said. The others looked back.
"Dammit Cloud! Where are you going?" Barret asked angerly. He raised his arm and shot off a shot. He was aiming for the back tire. "Got it!" he said triumply.
"Did you have to resort to danger?" Aeris asked.
"Well, what did you want me to do. It don't look like were going to catch him if we run for him." Barret then said. Vincet sighed.
"Well, you blew out his tire. He'll have to slow down now." Vincent said.

Anastasia wandered through the empty slums.
"Where are you?" she asked herself. She put some hair behind her ear as she reached Aeris's church. She looked around. "Not here..." she said almost giving up hope. She kept wandering until she heard a shot ring out from somewhere. Her hearing was better than her eyes were, so she just followed the sound.
Leading into Wall Market, behind the gym, she found who she was looking for. Vincent and three others were there. She went up to then relunctly. As she got closer, she slowed down.
'What if he dosen't remember me?' her thoughts rang. She pushed aside her fear and walked towared Vincent.
"Vin, who's the girl?" Barret asked.

Vincent searched his thoughts as the girl came closer. He didn't remember much considering he'd been asleep fr more than 50 years. Finally, an image of her popped into his mind.
"Anya?" he called.
"I'm glad you remember me." the girl said. "I've been loking for you for quite some time." she then said.
"Woah, who is this!?" Barret asked.
"An old friend..." Vincent replied smiling.

Elena awoke with a start. Her dreams had been horrible.
"Reno?" she called. No answer. She looked around to see Reno sleeping next to her on the floor.

Her shoulder was bandaged, but she still felt light-headed. The got up, almost fell over, but she managed to place the blanket that Reno had found somewhere on him.
'You look so peaceful... Can you ever forgive me?' she thought. "Woah, what am I thinking? He's in a lower rank than me. I can't fall in love with him!" she yelled at herself.

Cloud drove the bike as smoothly as possilbe. He got off quickly.

"Frigin Barret and his stupid arm!" Cloud quickly changed the tired and was off once more. "Cant have those guys finding me...they just wouldnt understand." Cloud finally reached the house and hid the bike behind it with a sheet over it. He begun repairs of the house.

Aerith rolled her eyes. "Well, we lost him again." She said sighing. She thenlooked at the girl whos name was Anya. "Hi!" She said happily. "Are you Vincints girlfriend?"

Anastasia looked at the woman.
"No I'm not. We are just good friends." she said lightly blushing.
"Just friends. Nothing more." Vincent reasured.
"Or thats what you say." Aeris said smiling brightly. Vincent blushed slightly.
"Whats yer name?" Barret asked.
"My name is Anastasia, but my friends call me Anya." Anastasia replied.
"Well, it's nice to meet you." Tifa said. "This is Barret, and this is Aeris. I'm Tifa." she then said.
"It's nice to meet you all. Really." Anya said.

Vincet stared at Tifa.
"It's nice to see that you are being nice." he said.
"What?!" Tifa yelled. The rest of the crew just looked at the two.
"You being nice. I should have known that it wouldn't last long." he said. Tifa went to throw a fist at him, buy he grabed her hand. "You really don't want to do that." he said and tightened his grip on her fist.

Cloud was just about done with the repairs when his PHS rang. he answered it not speaking and heard everything that was going on with tifa and them, some one must have accidently turne dit on, and forgot they had it. Cloud listened for a bit, and turned it off. "...whatever.." Cloud finished teh reapirs and layed down for a rest.

Aeris laughed as Vinicint and Tifa faought. "It is great to finally be back together." She said smilling. Her smile quickley then faded. "But Cloud, why is he so distant?" she asked quitly jnot really directing it to anyone.

Elena waited for Reno to wake up. She didn't want to be rude like she had been. She signed and looked at the flowers.
"How do flowers grow in the Slums?" she asked herself.
"It's the power that the Ancient has." a voice said. She looked behind her and saw Reno.
"Nice to see that you are awake." she said.
"Why are you being so nice?" he asked. She was taken aback by his statement.
"Who says I am?" she replied.
"I was just saying." Reno said and turned to walk out. "You know where they are?" he asked.
"Nope." she replied. "You?" she asked.
"In a way. Follow me." he replied walking slowly so that she could catch up.

"There they are." Reno said as they approched the gym. Elena didn't say anything, but she watched them in curosity.
"What are they doing?" she asked lightly.
"Well, it looks like the bitch and Vincent are fighting and the others are just standing there." Reno replied. "When do we get him?" he asked.
"Soon. Just you wait. We will get him soon enough." she replied plotting.

"I don't know." Anastasia said.
"Can I kill her now?" Vincent asked.
"Na, we need her." Barret replied. Vincent sighed.
"What do you think he's thinking?" Aeris asked.
"Just give him his space. He'll come around when he wants." Anastasia said.

cloud walked around the house for a while until a very familiar sound.

"kweh!"

CLoud looked towards teh door and walked outside. A chocobo had come up to house and was eating the flowers.

"hey...the flowers..." Cloud walked over and looked at them, this was really a grysalet green patch. The chocobo looked over at cloud.

"KWEH!!!" Said the bird and happily smiled and rubed its head aginst cloud.

Cloud couln't help but smile. Cloud petted the bird.

"Well, it seems I can still find happiness. Sappose we should naem you huh?"

"Kweh."

"Alright...how about....bah i dont know...well think of something though."

Aeris looked at the ground. "I guess he does not love me. Heh, after defeting Sephiroth he stoped being my bodygaurd...he even gave me the one date and.....no more." Shesaid quietly a tear running down her cheecks. "I love him...but I guess he does not feel the same way."

Cloud was sitting with the chocobo.

"do you have girtl problems?"

"Kweh?"

"Heh...I guess not...your only a chocobo."

"KWEH!" the chocobo pecked his head.

"Ouch, I was just kidding...but i dont know...I just dont think I could back to her...not after her almost getting killed...twice on the count of me not being there...myabe shes better off without me...who knows...itws just to...complicated...heck, who knows if she really loves me anyways eh Sky?"

"Kweh."

"Hey I guess I named you...sky..."

"Kweh!"

Aeris Walked over to the corner of the road and took out a flower from her basket. She knelt down planting it. "Mom Died yesterday. She said Marelaene was good. She still talk to me also. She tells meralene to cheer up." Aeris said softly to the others while she planted a patch of flowers.

Rufus was looking through the window at the town. Sun could be seen now, unlike before meteor hit Midgar.

"Maybe Sephiroth did us a favour..."

"Excuse me, sir." said Rude as he entered Rufus' room.

"What is it?"

"You asked me to inform you about Cloud's group. May I report, sir?"

"Yes, but quick."

"Everyone's at Midgar, except for Cloud who seems to appear and vanish right after. Elena and Reno are after Vincent, who's with the group now, along with a girl. Aer-"

"A girl?"

"..Yes, sir. We still don't know who she is, she's not in any profile data."

"Not a ShinRa... Then how does she know's him?"

"We're working on it, sir. Want to know anything else, mister president?"

"No, you can go now."

Rude left the room after a quick bow. Rufus looked over his bed, with the sun rays hitting it.

"I wonder how you're doing, Tifa..."

Aeris smiled at everyone though deep down she hurt. Why would Cloud not talk to us? Why? Especially me? she thought as she stood there. She then looked up at the sky as the stars shown out. "The sky is lovely." Aeris said softly. "Even when we were out on our own in the world. It was really lovely, yet we fought so much."

Cloud Stood up.

"Alright I need a way tot alk to Aeris...without leaving this place."

He thought for a moment adn looke dover at sky.

"Hey sky."

"Kweh?"

"I got something for you to."

"Kweh??"

"I need you, to take a letter, to a girl with brown hair, a red bow, and a pink dress. Her naem is Aeris. Can you do it?"

"Kweeeh!?"

"What do you mean what do you get!?"

"KWEEEH!?"

"The joy of helping me out, and living here!"

"KWEEEH KWEEH KWEH!"

"I dont care if this was you rpalce first, I fixed it, you owe me!"

"Kweh..."

"Fine, ill give a bunch of grystal greens."

"Kweh!"

So Cloud wrote a letter to aeris. After about 20 minutes and filling the front and back side of tehs heet, he put it in a letter, and wrppaed it around skys neck.

"There, now off you go to midgar."

"Kweh."

"Be careful!"

Aeris smiled as everyone started talking. "So Tifa, how was the date with rufus?" Aeris asked cheerfuly trying to take her mind from Cloud.

"Kweh!"

Aeris looked over to see a chocobo running to them. "Oh look a chocobo!" She said happily as she walked over to it petting it gently. "Hey there." she said.

"Kweh!"

Aeris contiuned petting it and noticed a letter. "Hey look a letter." She said softly as she grabed it. It had the name Aeris inscribed on it. Aeris opend it and read it. "Cloud." She wisperd softly putting the letter in her pocket.

Aeris placed the letter in her pocket. The letter read

My dearest Aeris,

Its me Cloud, sorry to run off without twelling anoyone, but I feel to much guilt in many thigns, and shame at the moment. I just can't live wtih all you guys for the things that i have done, or the things that may have almost happened. This is my chocobo sky, he shall carry letters to you when I want him to. Aeris I do love you, but right now, I must figure a few things out...well until that day farewell.
