Title: How Many Times Have You Played Ff-7?

Eternity-Knight - November 3, 2004 08:11 AM (GMT)
How many times have you played FF-7? I have played it only twice *hides in corner ashamed*

Anastar - November 3, 2004 12:12 PM (GMT)
I've lost count how many times I've played it, but at least 35 times. I've played it for enjoyment, as well as to experience the game at different affection levels for Aerith and Tifa, to take screenshots for my website, to study different passages like the Lifestream sequence, etc. I'll probably play it again before the release of AC, too.

Andina - November 3, 2004 09:40 PM (GMT)
Hmm, I think at least twice a year since I bought it. Even though I wouldn't have time to play any games I still somehow find time for FFVII. ^_^

And of course I can never get enough of that Wall Market part where you get to dress Cloud all pretty. :D

Kaldea - November 3, 2004 09:43 PM (GMT)
Well I have done everything possible in it. Including Emerald and Ruby weapons, all the dating scenes, mastering all materia, etc. I would say I have beaten it at least 45 times. I have been obsessed with that game ever since it came out and yet I still wanna play it!

Yukari - November 3, 2004 10:35 PM (GMT)
Hmm... about three or four times, maybe? See, I go through these obsessive periods with games where I have to do every single thing that there is to do - at the moment I'm mushroom hunting in KH to get hold of enough Mystery Goo to make the Ultima Weapon. Before that it was getting all the costumes in Crimson Butterfly, and before that it was the dresspheres in FFX-2. But I always go back to FFVII - it's just that I only play my favourite bits. (Wall Market, Wutai, Costa del Sol)

Sefie - November 4, 2004 03:36 AM (GMT)
Hmmm....I've played the first disc countless times, but I always seem to lose interest....wonder why ;)
I've actually BEATEN it three times I believe....no..maybe four...let's see...hmm. I'm not SURE anymore!

Real_Emotion - November 4, 2004 09:27 PM (GMT)
-_-;;
I've only played FFVII once.... But it's not my fault, my brother lended(sp?) the game(WITHOUT MY PERMISSION SINCE IT WAS MY GAME!!!!) to one of his friends and his friend hasn't returned it back for two years now!

FF_Goddess - November 7, 2004 04:17 AM (GMT)
Hmm... probably about a dozen times now... :P

Buhon - November 18, 2004 10:29 AM (GMT)
Fear not, Eternity-Knight, I have only actually played through the game to the end once... *dodges chair thrown at my head* although I've piddled around a lot in the game. Although, I've NEVER actually replayed an RPG again after beating it... go figure, just a little quirk of mine. I intend to play FF7 through to completion again, though, cuz I just like it so much. B)

Eternity-Knight - November 20, 2004 07:07 AM (GMT)
It is great to know that I'm not the only one here who hasn't played it numerous times. *dodges random flying objects* I am working on playing it through again though.

That's no crime here. ^_^

Infact, FFVII is the kind of game you should play more than just once in order to understand everything. Even though I've played it several times I think I should start playing it again as Lover/Anastar keeps bringing out points and facts about the game that I have missed and never completely understood. Just proves how deep that game truly is. :)

ice_spitz - November 22, 2004 07:51 AM (GMT)
i've played it only once... and since Andina (??) says that it isn't a crime around here... i guess i won't go and hide somewhere. but don't throw things at me for saying that i've just beaten the game not long ago! the fact is that i was too young to have started playing FFVII in 1997 or 1998, and that i only started this year, so obviously won't have times to beat it so many times..

besides, my aunt keeps telling me off because she says that ps1 games are bad for the ps2... so i hardly play ps1 games on the ps2... *sigh*

Enima - November 22, 2004 12:23 PM (GMT)

Well,
when it first came out, all I did was watch my little brother play it with his friend. I started playing it about a few months later after noticing that it was a big thing in the whole school.

I've never really finished the game, but I've played it countless times and still love it. Some say I'm quite out dated because of it and even my little sister says I'm obsessed with it till it became my life. Hehe... maybe there is some truth in her words. But she would never understand until she's tried playing it. It's my all time favourite game :) .

Atleast this game is better than all the sissy games she plays (not counting Diablo II which I and my brother play for her anyway :ph43r: ). Sorry if I offended anyone by writing this.

Well, I recommend anyone who hasn't played it to try it out as it's cool and to me it's a classic  .

Why is everyone so surprised about my new name? It's only one letter difference.

...

Fine! I made a mistake when I made this account, I meant to write Andine but somehow my E turned into an A. <_<

Euh! For some reason what you said is making me feel very old and depressed. :D
But I'm not old, darnit! I was about 14 when FFVII was released. ^_^
So I've pretty much played it once a year since then...

Dare I ask what do you consider to be sissy games? I have a feeling that I might be playing some of them too.

Enima - November 25, 2004 08:54 AM (GMT)

Sorry if I offended you,
i'm just saying that my sister plays all sorts of games which I grew out of a long
time ago.

But I will admit that I still play games like Detective Barbie and such , but not as often as I play FFVII  . :D

No no, you silly girl, you didn't offend me in any way. ^_^
I was really just curious, that's all. I couldn't possibly be offended by something like that. :)

Enima - November 25, 2004 10:52 AM (GMT)

Ok, I tend to get that alot. Apologising when there isn't a need to :P .

Maybe that's why many of my former classmates call me a blur case.

I admit that it takes me a while to understand situations and have a quick ( but maybe too quick) change of emotions till many found it annoying.

Maybe my head is too much in the clouds and in the games I play.

I guess playing FFVII helps me escape these sorts of things as it keeps me focused.

(ok... I'm talking nonsense again... aiks) :ph43r:

Bloodbath - December 26, 2004 01:30 PM (GMT)
Hmmm... for me, I only played FFVII twice. First time = failure. I'm still playing FFVII...

You know, seeing you're a super moderator, I presume you have access to the Administrator Control Panel (aka, Admin CP). There, you could change your name anytime you want ;) (unless Invision Free Boards is different from the Invision Power Boards  ).

Anyway, on the topic:
My first play was through the Japanese game, but I lost my 3rd Cd, and never finished it! >.< After that, I played the NA version 3 or 4 times... can't say how many times exactly

Ah and oh, my little honey pot, so you might think but I'm afraid only admins can do that here. I did think about asking Aly change my name to Andine but I think Andina is as cute. :D

I can just pretend that Andine of ACF is my twin sister/brother/something...

But who would want to play the Japanese version as it is missing many things that are in US and Pal versions. Unless of course you are interested to see the dialogue the way it should be, if you can understand Japanese that is...I wish I could.
<_<

I started FFVII this year and I've completed it once. I was really slow the first time, aaah why did I have to spoil myself with Aeris's death?! .. So I neglected it for a while, and when I started playing again, it was kind of a month or two later ..
It's now my second time playing, but it's probably gonna take a longer time than the first time because it's taking REALLY long to get Aeris's limit breaks.

Meggie - December 26, 2005 09:11 PM (GMT)
...only once...
