hey has anyone seen this new anime?

*heh* I've only seen two episodes but I'm digging its style so far. Mugen is pretty cool though.

I like this show too. I've only seen what they've shown on CN tho. I like all three of the main characters, tho I probably like Fuu the best. I like her storyline in the episodes best, but it wouldn't be as good w/o Jin and Mugen of course. I like the variety of their personalities which can create pretty funny moments. I'm grumpy that they are only showing repeats again after so little episodes. I want to find out about Fuu and the sunflower samurai, Jin and his old teacher and Mugen's past!

I also love Samurai Champloo! My favorite character is Jin. He's really cool.. not to mention quiet, so I can probably relate to him. Also, Mugen is hilarious -- his answers are always straight curses.

I love samurai champloo! I like how its placed in old japan, but has been infused with some hiphop. Like how Mugen fights- so cool! I also like how they censored the swear words with dj scratches. I love scruffy looking Mugen and silent Jin! :wub:

I don't have Cartoon Network but I have the first two volumes of it and I really like it. The style of it is really cool and innovative and the fight scenes rule.

It's cool, I think I like Mugen the best. ^_^

Why did I miss this? I LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE Samurai Champloo! I was given the DVD set as a gift and I instantly fell in love with this anime. What attracted me the most was the way how they interpreted Hip-Hop music in old Japan so well. like how Mugen is like some "capoera-style" style swordsman (I wouldn't say he's a Samurai) and it dosen't make it so "AU".

As for a favourite character, I like Jin the best. He's teh smexx x).

His story appeals to me and how it's so bittersweet. How he was about to be killed by his sensei, but kills him instead. And he runs away and that his classmates are finding him to avenge their sensei. I like a dark story like that and how quiet Jin can be, plus, Samurai's rawk x)

I've watched it quite a few times, and its interesting. I definately like Fuu. She's really cute, and I like her personality. She's tough, and I'm definately feeling the LURVE between her and Mugen..... :plot: He always acts like he doesn't need her, but I know thats not true...

I also have a strong liking for Jin. He was very smooth, and had a calm, collected attitude. Teehee, his glasses only add to his awesomeness. :lust: He is a very likeable character, and he seems to have quite a few fangirls... :giggle: *cough* Paladin's Heart*cough*

I cannot deny the smexxiness of Jin. If I shall be deemed a fangirl, then so be it.

I love this anime, even though I've seen a few episodes. It's way different from any other anime so no wonder I love it so much!

I watched all of it a long time ago. I don't remember much from it, but I don't see how they could dub it. Some episodes are meant just to be in Japanese.(EX: the baseball episode)

Anyway, I loved this anime. Unique compared to all the other samurai type animes.

Saw the entire series a while back and loved it. Nujabes and co. composed some really awesome hip-hop tracks as well, one of the best, most accessible anime soundtracks evar, IMO.

Had really great visual flair as well (although some of the episodes, namely the one with Sara in it, had like... really bad animation). I loved the character designs. XD I liked Jin for the longest time, but kinda switched over to Mugen by the end of the series.

P.S. Mugen x Fuu FTW! They're like an old married couple.<3

Agreed. I like that episode, but I like the dubbed voices better than the Japanese voices. Mugen sounded a bit like a warbly old man. :lol: Plus the fact that the subtitles on my DVDs were so messed up xD. But that episode was amusing in English too, nontheless.

I really love the opening animation and artwork. It's very...how do I put this? It's very "grunge-y" like and unique. The music was a nice touch as well, Battlecry is one of my favourite openings because it fits nicely without giving it a very "AU" feel. Aaah, I'm no good at explaning the un-explanable. >_<

*squee* I absolutely loved this anime, just because it was so different from a lot of other animes out there. I don't much like the dub though because they call Jin 'Jean', which is just freaky :blink: Its just such an awesome show, humorus and serious at the same time. I love love LOVE Jin. :wub: He is just. . . I dunno, I just love him! And I'm a major fan of JinxFuu, sorry Mugen lovers! :sweat: My favorite episode. . . mmm, hard choice! I love so many of them. . . I like the Lullaby of the Lost ones. That is the episodes with Jin running into one of his best friends and where Fuu falls into the river, correct? Those are great epis ^_^
