Final Fantasy is a beautifully put togther game with oscar winning storylines, well rounded characters and bad ass looking swords. Though speaking for myself mainly, there were many moments when I went 'hur!!!!??'. I simply wanted to share these moments with you and wonder if you have ever expieirinced them, whether through misunderstanding the moment or shock, is there anytime that game has made you go, 'hur!!?' or 'hur!!'.

I know when I first played it-(I was young than!!)-I was shocked to see that Tifa seemed to be acting as though she had an interest in Cloud.
This was mainly because I thought she was married to Barret and Marlene was their kid!

-In the basement when Seph says, 'Out of my way, I'm going to see, my mother!', and you get the waaah waaah waaah!!!, music, I thought hur?-ooooh-he simply, maybe, didn't get along with his mum or something and she was some scary old battlax-(I was young!!!)-there have been many a times when I'm sure in a distant universe that music is playing for me when I have to confron MY mum (shivers).

-When I first saw that Tseng liked Aeris my first thought was-HUR?!-how OLD is he. And at exactly WHAT age did these feelings begin to grow. When Aeris was seven, eight, NINE!

-When Rufus first appeared in the game on that Shinra rooftop, I was practically timing how long it would take before he broke down-or got angry-cried-looked sad-at least ordered a removal of the bloody corpse of his father from the altar like desk of his doom!!!-when I saw none of that my first reaction was-hur?-than oookay-than (shrug) issues.

Come on, tell me yours if you lack as many braincells as I and have had a moment of shock, misunderstanding, confusion or just plain 'hur?'

I have a different term for that: getting Tifa'd.
You know, since Tifa left me the impression that she's always confused and doesn't think too much.....

LMAO I've never been known for catching onto things too fast, other people call it being Cloud'd, the everlasting blank look of 'hur???', I'm not sure if I was born that way or if it comes with being socially inept.

And come on, I've met tons of people who though Barret and Tifa were married and Marlene was their kid when first playing. It looks like it's basically set up to make you think that. All that was missing was the pet names.

Barret: "Hey pretty foo'"

Tifa:"Hi my special retard"

I sure thought that Tifa was Barret's wife in the Seventh Heaven and that Marlene was their kid when I played the game for the first time. Barret seemed to have a real thing for Tifa throughout the game, too.

I'm another one who thought Tifa and Barret were married. So when she started bringing up The Promise, I thought "Okay, this is a bored housewife/barmaid hitting on a hot younger man. But who can blame her, with a husband like that...".
Of course I went "hur??" when I realized they weren't married after all.

Anyways, hur moments. When Sephiroth brought up the whole clone issue. That took me YEARS to figure out!
When Tifa flops over the pile of Materia in the Mako cave, I'm still not sure what she's supposed to be doing <_<
Hummm...Pretty much half the game was spent "Hur"'ing, so I'm not gonna list anymore!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing with that materia fountain bit too.

The line 'just like you', that Sephiroth said to Cloud in his real past is just so strange. Did Sephiroth know Cloud or something?-hur?

And there was the, hur?-Cloud not really going to consider kissing Corneo-um..okay-hur??, how out of it was he that day.

The size of Holy at the end of the game-I swear that was small enough to fit in Aeris hair-hur?

Tseng and Aeris relationship-hur?, it was unsettling

Those two little firelions beside Naniki 500 years later-hur?-someone got busy-(and who was mrs Naniki anyway?)

I knew I wasn't the only one that saw that TifaxBarret at the start of the game lol.

Anyone eles had any hur moments or have been Tifa'd as Tifa Lockheart puts it

Well i have only 1 Hur moment..............Its from the part when Cloud jumps outoof the train in the mako reacotor til when Red 13s looking at Midgar 500 years later................Not bad only 1 :P

Yes! Hahaha, that was definitely my big... "hur" moment... What the heck WAS she doing?? anyone? I couldn't even think of a reasonable explanation... :unsure:

I think various scenes in the Honeybee Inn, when you're trying to get the briefs/lingerie, count as "hur" moments on my part. I was definitely taken aback... :blink:


And good call to Everchanging, Anastar, and Kusari - I also was sure that Tifa and Barrett were married... or otherwise "together." I was convinced of it at least until Wall Market. As far as I'm concerned, they really should have been a couple (come on AC!)

Actually, now that I think about it, Tifa and Barret are probably one of the most pairable charcters in the game. On first sight it looks like their hitched up-yet I haven't seen any fandom of them. Barfa lol. Can you imagine,

Hur moment: The first time I played it and I was given the opportunity to call Aerith "the slum drunk". I didn't know about the date mechanism then.

And that huge dead snake right after getting past the Midgar Zolom. I thought "There were two of them?!"

I have no memory if I had any of these so called hur!?! moments during my first playthrough, I was rather young then. But I do remember that I had absolutely no interest in who Cloud loved or why, the love triangle was the last thing that was on my mind. :P

Now that I think about it, I suppose there was at least one hur!? moment. I was somewhat confused, shocked and embarassed at myself (not sure if that counts :D) and how I reacted to Aerith's death. I really do not remember that I would have loved her any more than the other characters, but when she died it felt like the world was coming to an end. How odd we humans can be at times, you do not realize how much you like someone until something like that happens. :lol:

Another one was when one of the three little boys tells Tifa in Clouds past that no one has ever crossed the mountain alive, and she answered 'what about those that dies', eh?, I never quite got that, was that a joke or sumthin'

At Nibelheilm when Sephiroth says, my mother is Jenova and my father-, and than starts laughing, that was a creepy 'hur?'

Clouds version of saving Tifa heroically=shifting her out the way

Clouds falls into Aeris' church and is alive-'oh yes the flowers indeed broke his fall'
