RPGFan has announced that Square plans to offer a month of free play time with its release of its Playstation 2 title Front Mission Online in Japan. Anyone who purchases this title between May 12th and June 30th will be able to use the PlayOnline service free for one month. Since Front Mission Online comes with one month of free play time anyway, gamers would be able to play Front Mission Online for two months, without having to pay any usage fees. Front Mission Online will be available in Japan on May 12th for the Playstation 2. Square Enix also plans to release a PC version of it.

Square Enix has also announced that they will join this year's PlayOnline Festa on April 29th and 30th, where fans will be able to play demo versions of Front Mission Online and the Japanese version of EverQuest II. The PlayOnline Festa 2005 will take place in the Nekka Akihabara and the entrance fee is free of charge. Front Mission Online will be available in Japan on May 12th and the Japanese version of EverQuest II will be released on June 16th.
