Bill Lyons' Lucombe, Quite possibly his best work yet!

Recently, I picked up some payware...amongst them the Luscombe by Bill Lyons!

user posted image

Personalized, like all his other work!

And though I am using Active Camera to move about...I am still in the VC mode! There are hotspots to do the checks...

user posted image

Like the oil...

And hand-crank the engine (as well as yelling contact!)

Flies like a dream!

There's Scenery, AI, and even a theme (Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World) which you can listen to by clicking a hotspot!

No 2D panel, but the VC is spectacular! The gauges vibrate when the plane starts and are jerky...like in a real plane!

user posted image

I can't recommend this enough!

In a side note, if you don't wan't to spring for Active Camera, there's a program called F1view that will give you much the same functions (just not the approach or fly-by views, or the Head Latency).

A very nice looking plane jordonj, I never thought I would ever hear the word payware come from your mouth. Where did you buy her and how much $ did she put you back? Great addition to your fleet of planes cheers.gif . Happy flying.

It wasn't a link (I underline titles to books and songs)

The plane can be purchased (for 12.50...a steal) here.

The part that plays the song is a hot spot on the panel!

Sorry...one other thing I forgot to mention...

Remember the VC I showed...?

Well, the reflections on the gauges move as the plane bounces around, making it even more immersive!

Nice payware add-on jordonj, it looks worth more than $12.50! I wouldn't mind the fact that there's no
2-D panel as long as there's a VC. Is the Virtual Cockpit fully clickable? Nice purchase smile.gif .

Not just the VC...the parts of the plane outside the VC are clickable (you can hand-crank the prop!).

Unfortunately I just went to get it and it seems Bill and Lynn have taken the summer off so no orders are being taken! Damn, I really wanted that plane.
Can't blame them for taking the summer off though!
I guess I'll just have to fly the Stinson and the Challenger and wait patiently.
