Just wanted to get an idea of everyone's opnions on the game. Does anyone have any query ‘s or issues they would like to discuss.
I for one would like to raise one point. Now I know the game will excel in the gameplay aspect and revolutionize the world of MMORPG's and everything, though I reckon the graphics are simply way to "oldschool". There has been hundereds of posts on the RV site between people arguing over the graphics, some saying there fine and others saying there crap. The idea of RV wasn't about the graphics but to introduce an new type of game, something which would actually take logic, thought and just plain deep thinking to play. But, "come on" the graphics are fairly atrocious, especially in the 21st century. Though what can be expected from a company with limited funding. I know I will get used to the graphic detail from constant play, but every time I log in after playing Doom 3 or HL2 I know I am going to cringe.

Trust me, the graphics are good enough for a very satisfying gameplay. They are constantly improving too.

Well, I wouldn't expect too much gore in the game, but maybe they'll include wound textures for lets say you are hit on your arm.

Well that makes me feel a bit better.

I think the graphics are fine except for the ground...it looks like it was spraypainted or something...just giving it a bit more of a hue would make it a lot better.

Well the ground bugs me, but the horizon background looks shocking from the pics I've seen anyway.

I only hope the fps will be good enough to make it a fun exprience.

The FPS are great, at the moment. Though that depends on your computer, internet connection and the amount of people/objects in the area.

Well I agree the ground looks pretty bad, but you got to remeber how big the map is. The graphics are great for those who like playability over prettiness. They may not be ground breaking but think of battlefield 1942, it was/is a amazing game with mediocre graphics.

Anyways, I hope that it doe's well enough that they make an expansion with... naval warfare and pirates.

Well, personally I think the graphics look crappy but as long as they keep making the game like they said they were making it (as in anything but like most other mmorpgs) I won't mind.

Nightmare- I love the game, but the ai is horrible (they would eventually end up crowding the home base for no apparent reason)

Anyways, I would also like to see elephants and be able to ride those elephants to war. But, I would make finding them rare and training them long and hard.

Elephants would be really cool (possibly Mumakil style) and i agree with you on the training. Is there an email or link to put in suggestions to the makers of RV?

Don't bother sending emails and what not about elephants to the RedBedlam will simply ignore such things. Posting idea's like that in the RV forum's might get you an answer.

I might be able to speak with the game makers on beta-test. But it isn't a bad idea if someone else would post them on Roma Victor.

I don't think we'll see elephants in the first release.

Talk about elephants has happened, and since elephant warfare wasn't being used anymore at that time, elephants will never be included, at any point.

Really? No elephant riders? Too bad, I don't many people going down there, but if we had elephants... guess where all the noobs will go first :D

dogs will be in for sure. There will be a selection of pets, but only dogs are more or less confirmed.

Sweet, will they be trainable for things like attacking or herding?

I don't know more yet.

i do know for sure that some african tribes rode giraffe, but i doubt they would be a good war weapon and im definatly getting myself a german shepard as a battle companion like on gladiator lol

Chariots will be cool, and same with pets. As for the graphics, aren't they suposed to be like Empire Earth or Medieval Total War?

I'm not sure about the graphics but i am with xeno on the scythed chariots :rock:
