Title: Nervii Outpost
Description: Welcome friends and Allies.
Divitiacus - December 22, 2005 07:45 AM (GMT)
The village is hushed, suppressing a buzz of controlled excitement. Children do not play, but stare solemnly from under the door at the sunlit, wintry morning, whispering gossip to one another in awed, piping voices. Women do not cook, but leave the fires smouldering in the braziers and hearths, pulling on cloaks and stepping in a swift, hushed procession toward the Village Hall.
Men do not fish or work, but leave nets empty and axes dull, coming to congregate here, where the meeting will take place. The room is packed, hot, filled with the sibilant hiss of many murmers, whispers by the light of day. The tables have been removed to give more space, though one high table rests at one end of the room. There sit the Elders of the village, of the warband, the heads of the shepherds and those who speak for the fisherman, the oldest and wisest of the village. And at the head of the table, silent and strong, towering above the others and dwarfing the large chairs in which they sit, the chieftains of the Brathair Prasgan.
There have been rumors, hushed, excited whispers of things to come from this meeting. Of valor rewarded, of decisions made, of a gathering to be sung of by those in years to come.
The tallest of the newly arrived Gauls stands, towering two feet above the head of the largest man at this gathering. His dark eyes scan the room, and when he speaks, it rumbles deep within his chest. Grating, growling, but calm and full of power.
"Friends," he says, leaning forward to rest his massive knuckles upon the table. "Men of the Brathair Prasgan. Long have you been without your allies. Long have you labored to defend yourselves. Many have died. Many have been wounded. Much has been lost, and much yet remains to lose. But much may yet be won."
"I am Divitiacus of the Nervii, and I seek the Chieftain's blessing to speak here."
Greetings Lads,
Good to see you all are still going strong, now some might recall me as the founder of the nervii and after a long absence I am back to finaly enter the realms on wich we waited so long, even tho its hardly playable at the moment. Now we have had grand plans before and i would like to open a discussion on how we stand to one another and our respective plans for the near future...
Honourably Yours
Divitiacus
Nervii Chieftain

Let me be the first to welcome you, Divitiacus. Have a seat and expect to sit there for a couple of days until the leaders have gathered (Xeno has ran off into some kind of rabbithole with no internet and Nulli and Kaso are chasing girls so yeah).
Here have some meat_a ;)
Xenophon - December 23, 2005 04:09 AM (GMT)
He was not the only one chasing girls, theres some damn fine ones in Vancouver.
Anyways, greetings Divitiacus glad to see you back. To be honest I thought you dead and buried it has been so long.
So you are going to try and revive the Nervii, thats great I noticed a few of your members putting around the RV boards.
Maybe we will have a chance to talk more another time, right now I am going to hit the sack after 8 hours of travelling :smash its ugly this time of year getting over on the ferries.

We wern't quite dead, but waiting for a game to arrive, coming to the point of expected release, then still no game sent many people to sleep. There are now 5 of us in the testing. The game eats all your RAM currently, so i am having trouble playing it well on 512mb. Me and Priard had a fight, with fists and hatchets, and it took a very long time. Hatchets, it suggests are terrible weapons which somehow make you miss large people 90% of the time. I am sure this will smooth out towards the end of the testing to make it more realistic. No matter how 'ard one is, you cannot take that many blows to the head with a hatchet.
Anyway, as we are all stuck in Britain for the time being, we may aswell try meet up at some point. :D

Ah hello Diviticus and Cadarn, I have not seen you in ages Diviticus and until recently was still under the impresion that you were stilll a POW of the real-world. In case no one has told you, I am Holymeth, Methius Cursni, Stalcach Miuil, or my most recent and most favorable ... Chyhoedd da.
It was a pity I wasnt able to speak to you as a diplomat back in October or November, but certain events occured, causing me to lose my right of Gallic Confederacy officer. Though I am glad to see you once more are active, and I am glad to hear that you are seeking to improve your site (Which is already wonderful)
May you, your freinds, and your guild prosper in Gaul or where ever you may choose.

:barb:
Who are members of Brathair that are actually playing?
Xenophon - January 3, 2006 01:57 AM (GMT)
Who are actually playing at this moment... well I am not quite sure really.
I know that Me, Kaso, Nulli, Dagmar, Honduras are in gamma.
I sometimes go on, but with all the games I recently got for both Computer and playstation 2 I find it hard to spend any great amount of time.
I know both Nulli and Honduras grew tired of it and are taking a break from it; Kaso just got his computer fixed after several weeks; and Dagmar is flying below radar.
:duh: I keep meaning to come back, but I just got PoP: Two Thrones so I am going to try and beat all three in a row (just starting the first).
How about your guild, Divitiacus?
