I caught myself pondering how everyone,or almost everyone loves RTW which made me remember the time I first learned of Roma Victor.

I was searching Rome Total War Center (or some site like that) for some interesting info when I came upon a Topic stated Roma Victor. Interested (thinking it was a conversion of some sort) I clicked on it to find out that is actually a game, and more surprisingly it was an online rpg. This topic was created by none other then Honduras (who is a mod there I believe). It provided a link to both the main site and his clan (which was unnamed at the time).

Having quite a bit of spare time (being that it was christmas holidays), I scoped out the main site and immediatly was hooked. It looked like everything I wanted to be in a game was there. The biggest thing for me was that you could build any structure you want, have your own city and own npcs to do your bidding.

With jaw to chest I hurried over to Honduras' clan feeling somewhat nervous since would not only be my first guild but my first hardcore online experiance (I played rome total war and stuff online but that was never really my thing... maybe because I got bored winning all the time, I kept a tally and had 31 to 4 victories or something close to that, or being wiped out by pure cataract/elephant charges, yawn boring).

From there I was accepted, spouted a bunch of meaningless crap ;), and got myself the position of diplomat and head religous dude, then made an offical leader of the guild. After that I joined the other leader Mordhak and came here, which Honduras and a few others tagged along.

As you can see, I'm not one of the general idiots from that site that people think we are.

I found out about it while browsing the mmorpg game list, I also won a spot in the beta.

Yeah I found out about RV by complete coincidence when I got a free demo CD with a pc magazine the cd had a list of various games and since I had a slight interest in the ancient Romans I clicked on *Roma* Victor and that’s why I am here writing this post in my relatively short existence on this planet we know as earth…

I'm not a mod there anymore now though. It was only a temporary position created with the launch of R:TW. The mods couldn't handle all the spam by themselves anymore :P

I also followed a link in Honduras' post. I had heard of it before though, while searching for free MMORPG's :ph43r:
