Title: Natures Wrath

Jolius - August 19, 2005 12:22 AM (GMT)
Wow, nature just owned the area I live in. Stoughton, the town I live in, has had one or more tornados hovering over it for about the past 20 minutes. The Storm just stopped right on my town. Personally I live 5 miles south of Stoughton but I know my cousin’s barn is gone. I saw a picture of a huge ass tornado in the area of where one of my best friends live. My dad left to see how my aunt was and he has been gone for a while. The road I live on, HWY 51 is shut down. I'll get you more info when I get it.

The really weird thing is that there is blue skies right above my house but look to Stoughton all hell is breaking loose.

edit: oh yea for about a half an hour emergancy vehicls have just been pouring into our city.

I know there were at least two at one time. I think my town was hit with up to 4 at one time.

I hope your ok, and that not to many people have been injured.

Yea, I was in Florida last year before it got anally raped by Charlie. I was far enough north (Jacksonville) that we didn't really get any bad stuff... bout 80 mph winds in the afternoon and some tornadoes during the night.

My most vivid memory was racing this rainwall home in our boat we were using to tube with. We were going like 45, docked, ran inside and about 2 minutes later this huge gust of wind came at the house and it was pouring. Gets the adrenaline going ;)

I feel strongly for those further south who weren't as lucky though :(

Hey is that a rainbow in the upper right corner?

Seriously. Don't get too high. Or blown away.

Here are the numbers in stoughton, a lot of towns to the north got hit with this but it didin't stop and hoever over them for an hour.
1 dead
35 injured
a lot of damage

The reason I was online and posting was because by that time the storm had passed me and was hovering over stoughton. I am not even kidding for one hour I could see the line of clouds but over me it was blue skies and sunshine. It was really weird. The storm was completely still.

over 30 homes got leveled last night.

I am worried because one of my friends isn't answering the phone and the road to his house is blocked off by police.

BTW he is ok.

Damn Stoughton got seriously raped. Hopefully thats in one of the 2 counties that are under National disaster or whatever that fund is.

I heard that 25 fuckingtornados hit in only those 2 counties. Nature dont like wisconsin much :)

Jolius - August 20, 2005 12:25 AM (GMT)
yea Dane and... what ever county is above me. Viola, city to the north, lost 80-90 buildings last night. Biggest thing since the 12 ( i donno how many really, was a lot) tornados went through barnavill (sp?) and lvled the entire city. I ahve been there and every building is the the same age as when that storm came though. I mean no building survived. I think that happened a while before i was born.

In Stoughton, a tornado left a 12-mile-long, half-mile-wide path. Preliminary reports suggested its winds reached more than 200 mph. The storm was so strong, roof shingles, papers and other debris were found in the Milwaukee area, 60 miles away.
