Lineage 2, Legend of Mir 2 & 3, Myth of Soma, Everquest 2, AO, Gunbound (kind of RPG game), Knight Online, Kal Online, WoW, SWG, GW, Dungeon Siege, Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic & 2. I know this isn’t a RPG, but I played Medieval: Total War & Rome: Total War offline as well, I didn’t like it online really.


Description of yourself:
By this I guess you mean not just what I look like. I like to write, I have, in the last year got into writing quite a lot, like writing previews and reviews. I also did a few reports on a clan, which the whole clan could read. About a year ago I was a joint leader of a clan called ADR, which I am still in contact with, but they aren’t doing so well. I helped to expand to a new game for them, but I left due to lack of support form the clan, while I was trying to expand to a new game on my own. Like I said in my games section, I have played a fair few games, and I love to play RPG’s, especially the free kind. I like to help people, in the clan or not, but since I am going to be a Barbarian I would more then likely help any and all Barbarians before even think about helping romans. I do not judge people for their decisions, in RV, the main starting choice is who you are, Barbarian or roman. I will not kill just for items or the fun of killing, I would kill to help a Barbarian though.
I also like to be organised when it comes down to important things, and I think that this game is important, well to this guild, and to me. I would more then likely try to play for about 5+ hours on weekends and at least 3+ hours on weekdays, since I will be starting college soon. I grew up with 2 older sisters, so I am quite mature for my age, but I do still like to have fun.


Tell us what you will bring to our Guild and why you will like to join Bràthair Prasgan:
I would try and help our members, if I have something I do not need any more I would give it to someone else, there is no point in having large riches, I would enjoy it more if the guild had it so it could be spent on materials, supplies, a army or reinforcements. If I was higher in a specific area then someone else, like in combat I would help them out, by taking them out to kill some creatures. I would like to help organise hunts or participate, so the guild could benefit even more, with more items and money at its disposal. I love trying to help with planning, I am not the best strategist, but I do like trying to give my opinion wherever people will listen, two things I do really hate are being ignored and liars. Don’t get me wrong I know my place in guilds/clans, but if you are willing to listen I will probably be able to contribute.


In-game Character:
I would like to be a fighter, but I know I will ore then likely take up some other skills at the beginning to try and get myself started and give myself a bigger experience of the game. I am will probably be Spear – Thrown, Sword – Long and Horse Riding – Bareback, Dodge and Parry. Depending on how many skills I can use. At the beginning though I may get some thing like woodcutting. I am willing to adapt my skills to help the guild if the guild needs a specific profession at the start I will try and learn that skill, but I would keep training in long sword when I can, since I a am combatant really, and I enjoy combat a lot more then the economy side of games.

As you might have already guessed I am a leader (co-leader to be exact) in this guild.

Since you have so kindly taken the time to write an application that is more then 3 lines, I will do the same in my response and questions.

I am glad to see that you are so taken with rpgs and I am sure you will not be dissapointed with this one. Note, however, that the graphics for this game is not steller. In fact they are pretty... C-C+ grade compared to its competitors. This can also be a good thing since it gets rid of all the graphic whores and child noobs. As you might have already guessed this Community and this guild is made up of mostly dedicated and mature members whom want more then just personal glory and boosting.

I am glad you are so taken to writing, and hope that you put your skills to good use on this forum *cough* *cough*

Its nice to see one that not only looks out for himself but for his fellow commrades too, but I should warn you. The majority of noobs and childern that will be playing this game (and there will bound to be some) will be barbarian. So be careful of whom you help.

Your ideas that you wish to contribute are more then allowed, but encouraged. I for one would get tired of hearing my own voice, and bored seeing the same old ideas coming from just me and the the other leaders. In our guild the word "leaders" is more like a member with some administrative rights. All ideas are listened too and you will hear our honest opinion of them (and sometimes brutally honest).

I hope you understand that right now our guild is not looking for any more officals or members with power, so it is unlikely, at least at first, to have any "special" duties besides the role you choose to take on; in your case to be a soldier.

Please note that you will have to have an offical role (be it soldier or farmer, etc.) but you are not restricted to that role alone. I for one will dabble in archery, farming, construction, logging, and most other jobs along with my economics (I am the co-leader of this guild, but the role of it is broken down. I am the Leader of the Economics, while Mordhak is the Leader of the Military, and Bthizle is the middle man whom dabbles in a both areas and in none.) sector.

I would like to bring to attention that we are following a socialist economic system (that is the only socialist aspect of our guild, we are very democratic), which means that you will be taxed quite heavely, about 60-70% right now. But, you are entitled to free health services, religous services, free supplies for your main occupation, free weapons, and armor, housing, etc.

Next, you will see that we vote on just about everything. This is not bad, but it can be a pain in the but if you want something get done right then and there (unless it is important in which case a Leader may authorize it....but such a thing is very rarely done).



Now for my questions:

- First off, I am very curious as to what country you live in. I have never heard of these cities you talk of.

- Why did you choose our guild over another?

- How did you find us? We do not advertise much, and I would like to know how you came to know of us.

- Are you willing to remain active even though the release date is two months away?

- Why do you want to be a soldier when you have taken such a scholarly lifestyle?

I have played RPG's since I was about 12, so I know what to expect from communities. Also, I did know about the graphics, but I am still vary much looking forward to this game because of the game play, and I would probably rate the graphics about D-E, not C.

Sorry I thought I did state the country, I like in England. I do have a lot of American friends form MSN, and I can still talk to them, I seem to play and use my computer at night quite a bit.

I chose this guild over all the others because it seems to me that this is the most organised barbarian guild that I looked at, it may not have a website but it is the kind of guild I would love to be a part of since it is a very democratic society, I like the idea all members get a say.

I found you on the list of guilds on the Roma Victor forums, since I was going to make my own guild I was find some forums I could join to talk about guilds ect, but decided to join a guild, and I really like this guild and if I didn’t get in I would hope get in before beta testing.

Yes, since it isn’t so far away now, I could defiantly handle being active.

I have only really been fighting classes in RPG’s except for in SWG, when I was musician, but that got very boring very fast. Also, I love to fight, it is more exciting then to cook or cut down trees ect.

I can guarentee that unless you want to be mediocre you will not be able to have all those skills you listed. If you had to choose between sword and spear which would it be? And are you a fan of Ipswich Town? They have been down on luck the past few years.

I think i would choose sword since i only wanted spear to weaken opponents before i got into hand to hand with them.
Also, yes, but since i moved it is very hard to keep track of them.

I hate to sound mean/harsh though Ive learned from experience that helping one barb mnay hurt the other, some of the guilds mostly care of themselves (primarily, not wholly). Though if you do join Brathair, please put Brathair in front of all others, even yourslef, for once in the guild, you are the guild.

I actuaslly think you will be able to have all those skills, though you will have to practice them everyso often. I think maybe perhaps you could be a woodcutter in begining :) For the setting up and such.

Well, I dont think we have any/many brits here. We are mostly americans, australians, Blegium, and I think that may be it .... So I think tiemzones wont be too hard on you.

Though we are democratic, it is more of a limted democracy, which the leaders have the final say in something. (No squablling choatic greek democracy :) ) (old greek democracy)

Well, in joining this guild, you sortof automatically lose friendliness to Romasn ... since agression is encouraged against them.

No idea about the dragon really, the only really bit of welsh history is when the Saxons attacked and I even forgot who won, I went to see a bit dramatization thingy on it. I was only about 8-10 though.


Also, I don’t only play Fantasy it’s just that most mmorpg seem to be fantasy, because it appeals mostly to gamers, majority being teenagers.

I would suggest reading another history source. And since this game takes place 500 years after RTW starts, Gaul was part of the Empire and a whole bunch of stuff happened. In any case, you still sound like a sound candidate. Better than many the past weeks.

I dont really get why i should learn about the history when i read on the offical forums that the start will be historical but after that it is player based so we create our own future, todays history ingame.

There's no real reason to learn the history. At least, not for us.

Some of us who like to RP enjoy learning about history up to 180ad, so that we know what kind of people we should RP as. And also it helps in the in character debates if you have a bit of historical knowledge so you can make sound arguments. But you are correct, history after 180bc is irrelevant, since we will be the ones to write it. ;)

I think he means it is helpful to know about it, and it is a kinda must if you are gunna do RP. I guess ><.

Ha I find it hard to belive that my question was pointless. Are you familar with the psychology behind colours? For instance saying that you like light blue tells me that you're loyal, reserved and can remain calm under pressure.

Red makes the wearer look bigger that's why you see little kids wearing it. It's also a bright colour that makes it appealing to people, and little kids get attracted to colour, and candy.
