Description: Recent catasrophies

Well, it seems , London has a copy-cat bomber following almost the exact same lines as the original terrorist. Though it seems none of the bombs really wne toff, and one man is injured (the suspected suicide bomber)

Also, in the US Arizona is having a heat wave .... 18 people have been claimed dead ... 14 homeless 3 old women , and one unknown (presumed homeless) It sounds like though tah tthe homeless shelters there are now (finally) opening thier doors to the homeless people to stay in.

Also, 3.6 million in Niger are facing serious starvation :( . I swear, when I saw a movie of a woman going to Nigeria, it was sick to see all thsoe starving and dead people :(
http://i.a.cnn.net/cnn/2005/WORLD/africa/0....niger3.afp.jpg Thats sad that someone can look like that, I wish that people didnt have too though (starvation)

Also, George Bush has had an attempted attack on him from a Georgian (the country) resident, it seems the grenade was of Soviet Union era, Luckly though the grenade didnt go off.

If anyone else has any catastophic events, post them here. I am surprised about how choatic the world is becoming.

Kaso - July 21, 2005 06:08 PM (GMT)
I hate to break it to you, Meth, but the world has been chaotic for a long time and it ain't gonna change any time soon.

Mordhak - July 21, 2005 06:31 PM (GMT)
Hey I know a catastrophic event as well. I used to call it the Apocalypse, but now I prefer to name it by it's proper name:

Idiocy.

Way to take the topic down a notch Mordhak...

I actually have something usefull to say and not in the form of spam.

How have yours guy's weather been like? Here in Canada it is friggin out of control.

In my west coast town (well city really) our summer weather (ie heat and sun) came a month and a week late! It rained part way through july when it is supposed to be the hottest time of the year.

In Calgary (where my friend lives) they recieved an entire years worth of rainfall in two weeks. Many people where flooded out of their homes because of this. Now they have tempatures that are the hottest they have had in many years.

In Quebec (where half of my family lives) they are getting extremely hot tempatures, some of the hottest they have ever had.

In other news (kinda old at that) America claims that Mad cow disease that has popped up is nothing to be worried about. Odd, since about a year ago when two cows turn up in Canada with the disease America was all haywire about the potenial dangers and ended up turning away Canadian Beef.

London Blaims Canada for allowing potienal terrorists into their country and indirectly blaims her for the allowing the terrorists who bombed the subways in. Funny, that they would so boldly claim this even though they have a large and radical muslim comunity inside their very own country (which they try to keep on the dow-low).

Do any of you have some interesting news to share with the rest of the guild?

Methius Cursni - July 24, 2005 07:27 PM (GMT)
Not joking, yet real funny:

Canada won the stupidest country award, and many canadians were happy, with thier (pimeminister?) (or someone else said it) that it was about time Canada came out on top of the other countries  (yay, thats a way to go to the top)

George Bush won the stupidest comment awards for saying "The terrosit are trying very hard to hurt the US, and we are trying harder) ... which reminds me of GWBs statement: "Our children need a better education ....... Is our children learning?"

Ill add more when I look at topic again ... also the show "Worlds stupidity awards" won an warad for the stupidist show ......... is that actually on TV? I wouldve liked to see that.

 I believe that was a joke, since the sad truth is that Canada has a much better public Education system then America (though it is true that it is not better then say Japans or Germanys).

Your not bashing Canada huh? Take a look at what you wrote, then tell me you arent bashing Canada.

Methius Cursni - July 25, 2005 04:35 PM (GMT)
I wasnt bashing Canada, I was using sarcasm at the "Thatsa way to go to the top" ......... Also, dont be so hissy at me Britt, in that article alot of canadians were happy. Thats stupidity right there, for being happy at haveing your country called stupidest.

Xenophon - July 26, 2005 02:35 AM (GMT)
It is not stupid it is called having a sense of humour. I just pointed out, for those that did not know, the award was a joke and not something to be taken seriously.

Ingeronic - July 26, 2005 03:32 AM (GMT)
Damn i wish we British got a award, the Largest Smallest Nation in Europe Award or somthin like that..

Luckily the grenade didnt go off??? We'd have one less Warmongerer in the world right now if it did.

Somehow I always thought Great Britt lived in the UK.

zelda12 - August 14, 2005 06:22 PM (GMT)
 A few people in Quebec still consider themselves French Patriots. Some canadians still consider themselves British Patriots, nothing really odd about it.

As Nulli said the worlds going down the toilet, always has been.

Though then it would be a headline saying "Bush killed in Georgia" and it would look bad for the south.

I dont like GWB, but wishing death to another person isnt mature and its also bad.

Mordhak - August 14, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)
Well Bush is responsible of the death of thousands, so why not?

yeah i live down in arizona yeah heat wave is bad maybe the ancient mayans were right the world will come to an end by 2012 :S some people beleive aliens told them i beleive world is gonna kill itself u know america is one of the countrys who dont "beleive" in global warming... tsk tsk

Brennin Bark - September 4, 2005 08:00 AM (GMT)
I thought according to the Mayans the world ended in like 1998. Might be another ancient prophecy I'm thinking of. Or they could've been right and just nobody noticed.

Traken - September 4, 2005 02:45 PM (GMT)
I like to stick with my theory of Idiocy: The world is ending in X+1, where X is the current year.

:D

Cathair - September 5, 2005 03:46 AM (GMT)
That Mayan thing is odd considering that the "Bible Code" for any of you have heard of it has references to the world ending in 2012 also. But then again, the Code can easily be manipulated in many ways for the person looking to get their results.

About Bush, change stuff Democratically instead of like that. Once you do that you are instantly as bad as he is. I always think its funny when people want to kill Bush for killing other people.

NulliSecundus - September 5, 2005 05:49 AM (GMT)
Ahh common mistake there, it is actually the Aztec calendar that ends in 2012, the sacred Aztec calendar is properly called the Eagle Bowl. Apparently that the 9th hell ends on December 23rd, 2012 on which Tezcatlipoca, god of death, would remove his mask of jade to reveal himself as Quetzalcoatl, god of peace.

Quetzalcoatl being the feathered serpent ect ect.

Xenophon - September 8, 2005 04:14 AM (GMT)
Have must of you heard about Hurricane Katrina yet?

It looks ugly down there in New Orleans.

The flooding has already claimed over a thousand lives, and anarchy is ruling the streets. Gangs have set up territory and there are streets where you do not go down. Looting is a common occurance.

And most of all snipers have been shooting at rescue workers! Some damn idiots have been shooting the workers and have (I believe) downed a rescue heli.

I have, through some of the charity organizations in Canada, sent some relief money down to New Orleans to help the those that have had their homes and lives ruined by the floods.

For those of you who live in North America, please donate to the fund. Twenty dollars goes a long way to helping these people. Everything they own is on their backs now, since the waters came in too quickly to save anything of value.

Kaso - September 9, 2005 12:01 AM (GMT)
I've heard tons of news coming from Louisiana. Martial law is being implemented and the anarchy should end soon, but they still greatly need help. If any of you see someone collecting money for New Orleans, I ask that you give as much as you can.

Traken - September 9, 2005 03:13 AM (GMT)
The place my dad works for had a relief drive. Well, technically it was the trucking company Prime Inc, but my dad's place payed for all the advertising (they are a cable company after all). My family sent $200 worth of water and hygiene supplys (soap, toothpaste, etc.) They only expected one truck to be filled in a week ending tomorrow. They shipped off the second truck tonight.

People around here are helping at least.
