Tell us what you will bring to our Guild:
My Character(not game): I tend to make friends easily and help unite differences between people. I'm an expert in strategy IE: AoEII. I am a logical thinker and catch onto things quickly.
RV Character: I love bows so I will have a fighting class as an archer and a subclass of whatever you'll need(I'd enjoy being a long distance runner to scout terrain and get familiar with the territory I see andybody just by running along unless they are laying in bushes or something really good). Tribe: Germanic
Why you would like to join Brąthair Prasgan:
I have read and understood youll's system of team effort and I know that Brąthair Prasgan will have great success with this system. I know Brąthair Prasgan will be THE BEST guild in RV for years to come and I want to be a part of the big events to come that will show the RV world the superior strength of this system and the great leadership abilities of our guild as a whole.

P.S. I havn't ever had to apply to any guild/clan in any game since day 1 of my online gaming. So this is my first attempt.

Welcome.

Thanks for taking the time to write out an application.

Usually you'll have a battery of questions flung at you to help us decide whether to let you in or not.

So here's mine:
Do you have any knowledge or interest in the timeframe the game is set around?
Also have you played any of the Total War strategy games; Shogun, Medieval and/or Rome?

Bthizle1 - July 16, 2005 10:36 PM (GMT)
Great...an AOE 2 fan. That application was very nice, however now I have a few questions to ask aswell:

1. How many hours a week do you plan on playing RV after its release?
2. Simple question really.....why should we trust you?

NulliSecundus - July 17, 2005 12:35 AM (GMT)
What do you know of the Roman era, also do you know anything about gaelic?

Flattering won't get you anywhere. Any other reasons?

One Question:

Supposing you are allowed into our guild and take up the role of an archer. Suppose we are suddenly raided one day by a rival guild or whatever. One group of enemies rushes into our village and starts burning and pillaging, whilst another group engages our forces off to the side.

Where do you fight? In the village or besides your tribesman to the side?

I don't have too much knowledge of this era TBH. But I do love the entire medival era and love to learn more and more of it. Everyone can't be on the same page at once, I'm just a tidbit behind. About all I know of this era is the constant attacks of barbarian groups from every angle of the Roman Empire attacking them and constantly weakened them. The strongest of these were the Germans and the Celts. As well of course when the crazy leader of Rome, Commodus, was killed by Russel Crow in a gladiator battle @ the Colosseum :sensei. /sarcasm

No. I have played WarCraft and Empire Earth I & II and Total Annihilation if you care.

3+ hours a weekday, 5 hrs on weekend days if I'm not horribly busy.

QUOTE

You would ask this... TBH Why would you trust anybody you don't exactly know in life? I mean you don't know me as well as the other 5 billion + people on planet earth. But you do anyways based on their tone of chatted text or however your feeling atm that you first read my introductory.

I can tell your completely sarcastic about that comment with emotions showing, "Great, another moron from AoE2." Simple question? I think not.

QUOTE
Why you would like to join Brąthair Prasgan?

I want to be a barbarian and it would be better starting off fighting beside/with someone(s) than being all alone once the game is finally released. I still do like the team effort system >: |

I'd alert my brethren and try to pick the village invaders off 1 by 1 without being seen, not sure how likely it would be in RV(the stay hidden part).

Well, he may have been sarcastic, but looking for a AoEII player is like looknig for asains in china .... they are everywhere. Also, AoEI and II where to me actually pretty cut and dry, simple ... not really needing tactics.

LS, are you saying that ONLY he is in village? Wow, I mean if he knows that and is still in village ..... hes arrow fodder.

1. Is that your prom date in the your picture?
2. Is that a leather jacket on the left picture? It doesnt really look like it, eh, could just be good qaulity :)
3. Just to point out; There will be no Super-snipers ... so that picking off people aint going to be that good.
4. Were you one of the contestants from MMORPG?
5. How did you find RV?
6. The reason we asked you if you should be trusted is becuase we have had "attempts" from Romans and such.
7. Well, you say your a quick learner, and in this game its needed.
8. You played AoE for 5 years!? Heck after a year at most, I was trying to be beat just to put in a challange ..... Check out: Cossacks .... a good game, muy better then AoE.
9. You say your good at solving problems with people, you may wanna help me and someone else, we are like to peices of flint rubbing against each other; before long there will be a fire ;)
10. You do understand this guild will be for a while Socialist correct? Im just telling you, for some do not like socialism.
11. Would you rather be paid $100 a day or start out with just a penny and have it doubled everyday?
12. You said you may be busy, what job you have?
13. What religion do you follow?
14. What political party do you like best?

See, Im not so hard on you :D

Bthizle1 - July 18, 2005 05:00 PM (GMT)
No...actually I like that game too, I use to play it, till I pretty much quit playing games all together.

z0rpAn - July 18, 2005 08:44 PM (GMT)
1) Yes
2) No, its my graduation gown, but I do have a leather jacket that my uncle gave me.
3) Who said anything about bow snipers? Hit em first in the foot then wherever else they are exposed with hit and run ;)
4) No, never heard of it
5) From a friend that already lost interest in it/forgot about it.
6) No I'm a straight foward guy, not associated with anyone in this game.
8) Custom Scenarios, much better than DM/RM IMO. The main one I play is called Graves Blood which u get a max army of 60 at any point in the game and to upgrade you get resources for so many kills(flanking tactics & whatnot) and the object is to defend your monument(wonder w/out a timer) and destroy your opponents.
10) Yes
11) Double my pennies
12) I work at an engineering company, I make plans that tells constructors methods required to brace walls by the City of Houston, TX standards to resist 3 second windgusts of 110 mph. Its a part time, yet I work full time besides when I have college classes.
13) Christian, not your average American claimed Christian. And as long as you follow the same Bible, it don't matter the denomination.
14) Overall I hate politics, but if I had to say anything, Republican.

NulliSecundus - July 19, 2005 06:46 AM (GMT)
What's with the name, it sound's pritty uber newbzor.

z0rpAn - July 19, 2005 03:04 PM (GMT)
its original. I kept it just because that, it was a name created at lunch in high school when friends at my table were making fun of this guy that played Dungeon and Dragons(not the computer game, the make believe one). I have no problems making any email accounts or have to deal with game tags already taken, so if people knew me fromso far ago, they know its me.

Methius Cursni - July 19, 2005 05:26 PM (GMT)
Since this guiuld is going to start Roleplaying, what would you pick as a name?

z0rpAn - July 19, 2005 06:47 PM (GMT)
undecided atm, zorpan is more of a mystic/superhero sounding name.

I'll have to look up some names for the era to be more realistic.

This is something I came up without looking anything up: Corronius Exodus...if a last name is required. Do barbarians use the same genre of names as the Romans?

NulliSecundus - July 19, 2005 09:57 PM (GMT)
Along the lines, but the barbarian 'genre' of names is pritty broad since anything that isnt roman is barbarian.

z0rpAn - July 19, 2005 10:15 PM (GMT)
well I've got over 3 months to figure out a name to use, less I get in the Beta, anyone else want to step up and ask anything?

Cathair - July 20, 2005 03:49 AM (GMT)
If by Genre you mean language, and by that you mean Latin, then no, the "barbarians" did not use Latin for the most part (except for those who were conquered and chose to use Latin). There were 5 forms of Gaelic, and that is just northern Iberia (Spain) and the British Isles, and I have to admit that I am not knowledgable of Germannic/Sarmatian/Illyrian names, but I am sure there were many dialects, and hence different names, within each language.

Cathair - July 20, 2005 03:57 AM (GMT)
And also, description really didn't have much to do about personal appearence in my opinion, just how you act. And kudos for you for picking on kids who played DnD. That's how we judge merit where I live as well.

Mordhak - July 20, 2005 07:41 AM (GMT)
7 people voted no and 6 people voted yes. Which means that you're not in, 50r94|\|.
