These are the areas where you can build in roma victor according to Kanoth.

I take it the pinks the buidable area's but whats with the green lines?
maf359 - June 12, 2005 12:06 PM (GMT)
I think the green lines are the buildable areas and the pink is the roman empire. If that is so that sucks that we would have to build our settlement on the border of the Empire.

Weren't the green lines something like portal zones? Or playable areas? That map is quite old I reckon. <_<
maf359 - June 12, 2005 12:23 PM (GMT)
Who knows  but the pink must be the Roman Empire.

Hmm, looking at the map I'm inclined to suggest something on the coast. Assuming we can use ships it will make travel a lot faster.

Green area i think are player zones ..... and it is quite old .... so we shouldnt really be depending on this :S ..... who knows what has changed.

Oh I did this because I was talking to big Benz and he was wondering which areas you can build in. As some of you pointed out this is quite old (at least 4 months), but it serves the use in which I needed.
For some clarification:
Green lines= Buildable areas.
Pink= Romain Empire at the beginning of the game.
border= The romans control the southern part of the Danube, while the north is barbarian.
No ships, but it is a possible, ablet are very unlikely chance, that basic ships will be added in a patch/update.
How one gets from Brittania to Normandy is a mystery to me, except they might do a npc called "boatman" whom you pay X amount of dollars to get to a port on the other side.

Strange all that green buildable areas are a line no? I think it's just a rough indicator as where each area will be (much larger than the line)
Xenophon - June 16, 2005 05:59 AM (GMT)
Probably, since (if I remember correctly) kanoth was just doing a rough out line.
But guys you must think. How taxing it will be on the server if it is constantly being built upon without anything stoping or restricting it. Hopefully they will will expand the areas after a while, but realistically that may not be likely.
zelda12 - June 16, 2005 10:39 AM (GMT)
Hmm, when I think of it if they get 2,000 players with half buying he full game and key then we are looking at around £30,000 straight off the barrel. And if every person on average then buys £1 worth of money in game per week then they will be getting another £8,000 a month extra just with that. Then as the community grows it may peak at 1,000 new members per month after a few months time...
Basically if they play their cards right and the game is good then they will have around £10,000 per month to rent server space and pay their techs to maintain them...and given time they may even buy their own servers if things work out well. Chances are as the popularity of the game increases their server space will increase exponeniatially as they require more space to run the game. So within a six months to a year the buildable areas may have doubled in size. :D

I just hope people wont constantly build stuff they wont use .... in other words just trying to increase skill. That would be bad :D .... That why Barbarians were made ... Burn, Pillage, and Drink ..... All in a hard days work.
