Well, I was talking to Xeno today about how this clan would be awsome if it had some sort of claim to a Spartan origin. I think we should use Greek armour to make ourselves look even more "civilized." We can almost be like a Greek clan in the way we dress and run things. This is just a proposal, so what do you guys think?

I propose that we issue out standard Greek-looking armour to our soldiers etc...





I picked out those pics, because they are a darker colored armour, which fits our guild colors so far alot better than the typical red:

Well kind of. Are you basing your government off anything or issuing a standard military uniform?

BTW can you fix the title? IE Spartan.

Our government is just a monarchy, plain and simple. I have a few ministers who have power, and we do intend on distributing armor to our armed forces.

Also, to the rest our clan members: I was just talking with goose, and we both like the Red and black colors alot, so perhaps some of you would reconsider that we will never use red a black?

Look at the first pic I posted for n example.

Maybe we could have only the top warriors being gifted with the full battle dress of the clan. So if members want to wear our top uniform then they have to prove themselves in battle.

So we can still seem barbarian to outward eyes but at the same time having a elite cadre of heavily armoured men.

Red and Black is fine by me, but it could be percieved as slightly romanesque.

Greece shall not be included in the first release. I wonder how you would procure yourself with Greek armour then? :huh:

Us Etruscans plan on producing a lot of armor, so you expect a little help from us.

That is not what he ment. No greeks mean no greek style of armor (unless they add that later on).

Black and Red are good colours (death and courage respectfully)

I like the first picture, and it would look even cooler if we had black capes (btw the best armor and best military equip go's to the higher ranks first). I hope they have the helmets in the final release.

I agree that we need to wear superior armour. Something which requires vast time and resources to create. I believe this will be essential to our "Elite" Guild, as we must be recognised and feared by our enemy's!

A corinthian helmet and a aegis(sp??) shield was a part of the equipment I had planned to use so I like the idea.

I've looked through dozens of Hoplite pics, I'll post my idea up.
