Description: For RP purposes
zelda12 - May 31, 2005 08:40 PM (GMT)
Right, I am going to attempt to write a short stroy about our Guild. Anyone who wan'ts to be portrayed in it please post your in game name so I can add you in. Basic plot is we are destroying a Roman Column coming through our territory.
Kaso - May 31, 2005 09:09 PM (GMT)
I'll be something to the effect of Kaso in game so you can use me.

NulliSecundus - May 31, 2005 10:07 PM (GMT)
NulliSecundus ;)
I could...what the hell could I do....?
Kaso - May 31, 2005 10:14 PM (GMT)
Nulli could be the guy who screams "The Romans are coming! The Romans are coming!"
Xenophon - June 1, 2005 01:32 AM (GMT)
Xenophon (and for those of you that think its not old fashioned... There was a great general called Xenophon [but it is not the reason I took it] back in those ages... I just don't remember what country he was.
You could portray me as a sage, a offical, or better yet the old man that lives in the gutter. :D
Lhorkan - June 1, 2005 05:25 AM (GMT)
Yeah, count me in. You could use Lhorkan. ;)
Sounds like a great idea BTW.
EDIT: Oh, almost forgot what I could do in the story... Umm, I'll cut them into pieces with my shortsword.
NulliSecundus - June 1, 2005 05:28 AM (GMT)
I could be a old scribe...or sage like Xenophon, I like to be a old something lol.
Lhorkan - June 1, 2005 05:30 AM (GMT)
No, you'll be the FC, and watch from afar. :P

Bout time we get over that Lhork.
Edit Xeno- Agreed, its more then a little old.
Cpt.Wenis - June 2, 2005 03:36 AM (GMT)
I wanna be the first to die. And make it dramatic.
zelda12 - June 2, 2005 10:37 AM (GMT)
Well none of the actual Brathair members are going to die, how about you just get badly wounded. :D
Lhorkan - June 2, 2005 02:14 PM (GMT)
We would need a guild "medicine man" then.
zelda12 - June 2, 2005 02:17 PM (GMT)
Well I've already typecast Xeno as the druid/wiseman so how about medicine man? :D
NulliSecundus - June 2, 2005 09:44 PM (GMT)
I could be a god that appears to some members forseeing the battle....eh eh.
Kaso - June 2, 2005 09:47 PM (GMT)
Or you could be Nulli Secundus, the Finance Minister who sits behind the battle complaining about how you're going to pay for all the dead horses.
NulliSecundus - June 2, 2005 09:59 PM (GMT)
True, I bought a 8k charger on M&B only to have it crippled next battle . I agree with Kaso, I walk around *sometimes through the battle* complaining on the cost of everything.
Kaso - June 2, 2005 10:02 PM (GMT)
Hehe, you could just wander through the battle with people fighting 3 feet away from you saying "Be careful with that sword! It cost me 20 sesterces!"
NulliSecundus - June 2, 2005 10:04 PM (GMT)
Exactly, not to mention the 50 sesterces for that armor and the 30 for the shield....the list goes on, none of you better get injured or killed!
zelda12 - June 2, 2005 10:14 PM (GMT)
You'll be in there Nulli, for how long depends though. ;)
Xenophon - June 3, 2005 03:22 AM (GMT)

Thats right!, since the government gets fronted with the bill :P
As for being the Medi man, sure.
Goose21 - June 3, 2005 11:36 PM (GMT)
Count me in, Goose is fine
zelda12 - June 3, 2005 11:47 PM (GMT)
Ok, well as I'm working on the assumption that it'll be odds of 10 to 1 we'll be slaughtering around 100 Romans. :D
NulliSecundus - June 3, 2005 11:56 PM (GMT)
Goodo, as long as none of you people get damaged or injured I'm all for warfare.
Kaso - June 4, 2005 12:11 AM (GMT)
When are you planning on writing this thing, Zelda?
zelda12 - June 4, 2005 10:42 AM (GMT)
I have the opening few paragraphs all written with the scene set. And I've got the basic idea and plan in my head but revision is a little hectic at the moment. Patience though, it will be done but you can't rush things like this.
Kaso - June 16, 2005 09:45 PM (GMT)
Have you given up on righting a story for us, Zelda?
zelda12 - June 16, 2005 09:47 PM (GMT)
Nope its sitting on my hardrive, just started the main fight sequence. I last left off where you had just beheaded a Roman then reversed your sword to impale the guy behind you.
Its just taking ages with all my exams.
Kaso - June 16, 2005 09:49 PM (GMT)
Hmm, "you had just beheaded a Roman then reversed your sword to impale the guy behind you." Suddenly I'm very interested in seeing the whole story. :kaso: :D
zelda12 - June 16, 2005 11:28 PM (GMT)
:D Now I have to go back and change it so that you have your customary two swords. I knew I'd forgotten something!
Xenophon - June 17, 2005 06:57 AM (GMT)
Good luck Zelda, and piece of advice is not to set any deadlines on when to finish your story. I found (when I wrote some of mine) that best stuff I made was when I let my mind drift following any trail of thought (not matter how insane it was).
Lastly have fun, if at any time it feels like a pain then just put on the back burner until you feel like making some more. Its not like your being paid for this :)
Cpt.Wenis - July 15, 2005 12:59 AM (GMT)
Soooooooooo......how's it going, Zelda?
Mordhak - July 15, 2005 08:30 AM (GMT)
By the way... you can count me in aswell. Mordhak will do.
(How come I never noticed this topic till now?)
zelda12 - July 15, 2005 11:24 AM (GMT)
It'll be ready when its ready, it may take longer die to associated computer problems and having to retype it from a paper copy. Will do Mordhak.
Edit:
'die' Damn yet another Freudian slip.
NulliSecundus - July 15, 2005 01:25 PM (GMT)
I know what you mean lol, writing can be a real pain in the ass. But it feels good once you finish.
zelda12 - July 15, 2005 01:28 PM (GMT)
Aye, if I get a chance I'll write some up today, but I have round about 3 other writing commitments and a script due in next week whihc I'm getting paid to do.
NulliSecundus - July 16, 2005 12:22 AM (GMT)
Do the getting paid one first, you know I would ;)
Xenophon - July 24, 2005 05:18 AM (GMT)
I look forward to seeing this when it is down Zelda. Take your time, but not too long since I may write up something along those lines as well... :ph43r:
NulliSecundus - July 24, 2005 09:02 AM (GMT)
Well I started writing this story but after about a week I think it sounds all..touchy feely and gay, I'll post it anyway so you can judge it. I have lost intrest in the story and I cant be bothered finishing it.
Mo Traigéide, My Tragedy
The sun rose from the mountians like a sphere of light and hope. As the sun cast it's warmth and light across the reminates of Asarlaí's home he felt a suddon pang of sadness, as he remembered the night before, the night he lost his one true love....
The cold air possessed an unatural bite that morning as the mounted man made his way home. His mount, made a snort of contempt as she crossed the river, the water so cold it chilled the bone. her master wispered reasureance as the water swirled around them, as the river surged to meet their warm bodies.
A spectral fog began to form as the sun crept over the mountians, shrowding the world in bleak grey, like a lonely ghost they continued thier journey along the vally. The birds refused to sing casting the vally in eerie silance. The fog seemed to choke the vally, casting it in a ominous, silent, gray.
They walked on, the scent of smoke reached the horses sensitive nostrils, she stopped abruptly almost throwing the man from his saddle, he too know could smell the overwhelming scent of smoke and as he spured on his mount, she continued forth in a trot.
As they got closer and closer to the smoke's source Asarlaí's anxiety grew, he urged on his mount faster and faster, towards his home. Suddonly the fog parted, like window to the world, Through the window he could see his house smouldering.
