Title: Cardon Souren
Description: A offer to merge

Xenophon - May 17, 2005 05:36 PM (GMT)
Well before you guys start jumping up and down at the thought of another clan wanting to merge into our own you should read the following:

History- I was on msn a couple days ago talking to Cpt. Wenis when Tye, if you remeber he was the co-leader of Eturia after Adam 'steped down', sent me a message saying he had something urgent to say.

When talking to him he told that he was looking to merge his clan with ours... at first I thought this Eturia, but when I asked as much he said that he quite Eturia "months ago" and started up a new clan. When I asked as to how many members it had he said 3 that where actually active.

Thats about the extent we talked, as I was also trying to get the damned xfire to work on my computer and play CoD with Wenis.

Anyways heres what I believe the pros and cons are to accepting this.

Pros:
1. More, new members.
2. Seen in the RV world as a worthwhile and powerful guild (since other clans want to merge into ours)
3. Tye is smart enough fellow, it was Adam and Armii that I didn't like because of their attitudes and... use of, or lack of, language.

Cons:
1. This whole merge thing could be hoax and that the Cardon Souren is not really a 'true' guild.
2. These new members might do squat around here and RV.
3. If we accept the merge then we have to accept ALL their members, even those that we might normally turn away.

Please post your thoughts on this and go to their clan forums to see them yourselves.

I'm not very found of this plan, but I'll wait and see the other member's opinions.

Capo of Arabia - May 17, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)
Tye (or Great Britt) is a trustworthy fellow. Me and him chat all the time. In fact, if I can ever be bothered to get WWII online we were gonna join the same Squad. The problem with this is accepting all the members, taht I'm wary of. I'll talk with him though and see what i can find out about the members.
EDIT: I also know Lord Stronghold, he's trustworthy as well.

Mordhak - May 17, 2005 07:09 PM (GMT)
I talk to Tye often enough on MSN, and I've heard of positive things of Xanaroth before. They both seem to be good guys, and if Lord Stronghold is reliable too, I see no problem... except if this is indeed a hoax, but I highly doubt that. We shouldn't become paranoid.

Your right, I was just stating all the possibilities.

I'm not sure about the others though...

Tye is reliable, I dunno Xaneroth, but LS is very reliable, we used to online RP back in the RoN days, he was Parma I was Munster, we both got banned by a nutjob called Luke who banned everyone who participated in a certain war for fun, even though almost all of the moderators and administrators were against it.

I'm not sure if the members are up to our standards. They don't do anything around their own forum. We can't see their private forums but the whole thing only has 29 posts. Plus the fact that some of them are former Etruscans which puts them in a bad view for me.

I say tell them that each member of Cardon Souren must make an application which then must be voted in by the current members. No special treatment that would let squatters in our guild just because they were part of some other suspicious breakoff guild.

I argee with Kaso, some of their members arnt up to the BP elite status and I know this from msn experiance. In my view this is a step in the wrong direction, distancing ourselves from present, future and past Etruscans is the safest stance we can take at this point in time.

I also agree with Capo, every member of theirs must be "screeened" first by us to determine if they may join us or not.

Of course they would each need to put in an application thread, I would have thought that was already assumed. Treat them the same as any other applicant, if their applications meet standards then I will gladly accept them. Some of you have mentioned that Tye and Lord Stronghold are trustworthy guys, I do not believe that their motives for joining Prasgan are based around any devious agenders.

Xenophon - May 18, 2005 07:11 PM (GMT)
I see that most of you are opting for them to apply like normal applicants.

I think this is a sound idea, I will go and tell Tye this:

"Your members may be allowed to join Brathair Prasgan. But, in order to for my clan to attain the image of elite, we will screen each of Cardon Sourens member based on their devotion, skill (which at this time is use of rhetoric), and attitude. This may mean that some of your member may not make it into the guild while others do. Understand that we will not make any special exceptions and note that we are distrustful of any previous members of Eturia. One final note, you can pend your application (whom each member must make on his own) to the following forum http://s8.invisionfree.com/Bthizle1/index.php?showforum=4 "

Thanks for your time Xenophon.

Done, I have posted our response in their forums, see below for what I wrote:

Hello members of the Cardon Souren, I am Xenophon Co-leader of the Brathair Prasgan and Head diplomat. I talked with your Leader Tye a few days ago, and he asked if the Cardon Souren could merge with the Brathair. Like promised I talked to my guild about this and suffice it to say that are mellow. We always look forward to new members, but we don't know much about you and some of you where former members of Eturia... a black spot in our books. In case you don't already know we where once members of the Lombard League, but have since broken off mainly because of adam and his war with the nervii our friends. Now that said, it has been decided that you can apply to become members of our guild, but note that we already have a government system in place of which each member was elected into. That means if your members are accepted each one will have to apply for a position, no charity here.

Here is the offical speech presented by the Brathair Prasgan to the members of the clan Cardon Souren:

"Members of the clan Cardon Souren may be allowed to join with those of the Brathair Prasgan. But, in order for my clan to attain the image of elite, we will screen each of Cardon Sourens members based on their devotion, skill (which at this time is use of rhetoric), and attitude.

Thank you for your time Xenophon.

Hello Xenophon, This is Great_britt, known to you as Tye.

Cardon Souren accepts the terms, and as you see, some of our members have applied even before this point. We thank you for your good will in handling this, and you have our gratitude. Tye/Great_britt/the_ghost.

Xenophon - May 18, 2005 08:06 PM (GMT)
<_< I noticed that after I spent all that time preparing it :duh:

Glad to see your inpatient to be in our guild :P

Cpt.Wenis - May 19, 2005 03:04 AM (GMT)
I'm going to say no on this one. With only 29 posts, as Kaso said, I really don't think that they would contribute to the guild all that much.

Yes, I remember this and Xeno told me he suggested a merger. Immediately I was uneasy about the idea.

 This took about 10 minutes before he figured it out and was able to play CoD with each other.

Edit Xeno: 10 minutes?! It took almost an hour!

Since Great Britt and Lord Stronghold are now officially members of the Brąthair Prasgan, this can as well be closed as it will only attract spam.
