Title: Jonathan and Silas's Room
Description: -open-

Jonathan of Tirragen - May 2, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
Jonothan entered his dorm room, still not knowing who is roommate was, and how they would react to him. He had actually been a bit surprised by the lack of hate towards him, although there was still certainly some. The boy had found a few friends already, at least people that didn’t seem to hate him immediately. He set down his things on a bed before laying back on it, wearing the same clothes he arrived in, the colors of his fief. His sword was still on his belt, having not yet felt like removing it.

His thoughts turned to what all would happen once training started. Adults tended to be harsher towards him, so he may have trouble with the instructors. It didn’t matter to him though; he would prove them all wrong no matter what it took. That was what he hoped at least, but he wasn’t going down easy. There was no reason for him to really stay here, but also no real reason for him to leave. For now he chose to stick around for a few minutes and rest.

That idea turned out to be a good one, for he was more tired than he first thought. He had been riding into town most of the day, and then stopped and wandered around the castle for a moment. Since he had not seen anyone who was supposed to help him, he had not yet heard of his roommate, and he did not seem to be around yet by the look of the bed on the other side of the room. This would probably be corrected before too long, though, as there was not much time left before training was to start.

Silas of Heathercove - May 9, 2007 04:01 PM (GMT)
Silas had been standing outside the room for awhile, and even somewhat stalked the page, until he realized they were in the same quarters. He knew the fief as Tirregan, the traitorous one, but Silas didn't care; he still considered himself more of a commoner than a noble. Very hesitantly, he opened the door to his room, and peeked in with some hesitance to the boy sitting at the other end of the opposing bed.

The only reason why Silas' items were not in the room, was because he had been staying with his mum. Everything was still in her rooms, for he didn't feel like carrying it all down, nor did he want to be alone. The only reason as to why he did venture down, was when he heard that his roommate finally arrived. Slowly, he shifted himself into the room, and stayed back against the wall, as if the other page was going to eat him. "So... You're... Uh... Here too?" He questioned with a nervous stutter, still backing closer to his bed via the wall.

Jonathan of Tirragen - May 10, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)
Jonathan looked up as he saw someone enter the room, and assumed that would be his roommate. The man seemed to be skittish, but he may have just been shy about meeting new people or something. Most of the pages did not really care about his fief, so he was really getting a bit more comfortable around people he did not know. “Hey, and yeah, I am. I’m Jonathan of Tirragen, and I guess your roommate. I just got here yesterday, but it seems decent enough.”

He was really pumped to get to training and show everyone what he could do, but he would need some allies to do that. It was obvious Jonathan was more relaxed than this boy he did not know, but he had been put in a pretty good state of mind by the other pages he had recently met. They showed him a kindness he didn’t expect, so he was starting to think this might not be bad at all.

Silas of Heathercove - May 14, 2007 09:58 PM (GMT)
Silas sat down upon the bed once he happened upon it, and sat up against the spot furthest away of the other boy. Although he didn't want to be alone, he know wished he was; he never considered that his roommate might be a person that he would have to communicate with. "Yeah, Hi." Silas said shortly, crossing his legs, fingers reachdown to fiddle with the frayed ends of his trouser pants.

"I'm Silas... Silas of Heathercove." The boy introduced, changing the output of his nervousness from his trousers to his curly hair. "I've... Been here... Awhile. It's... Okay. I guess." It would seem that young Heathercove was the first to show apprehension, mostly from his shyness, about the boy. Surely, there was a posse out there planning to trash the room, or bully the other page around, and possibly those that will be affiliating with him.

Jonathan of Tirragen - May 14, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
Jonathan watched the other boy, who seemed to be incredibly shy about this whole thing. He must just not be good with people; there were ones like that where he came from, so he was somewhat used to it. “Well, if you want to meet some people I know some nice ones. There really are good people here, and the bullies shouldn’t be a problem, I do have this.” As he spoke he patted the sword he had on him, “It’s real.” It was just in his best interest to be able to fully defend himself, giving where he was from and what people thought of it.

“Maybe you could even show me where a few things are, I don’t know much about it yet. I’ve mainly been outside.” John was very forward and willing to talk when he felt comfortable, and only really withdrew when he felt something bad might was going to happen. He had gotten a very good reception here so far, so he might as well just keep being optimistic.

Silas of Heathercove - May 24, 2007 09:06 PM (GMT)
Silas rubbed the inside of his elbow as the other continued to talk; the smaller boy figured he must like to hear himself talk. At least when he met Cassy she'd let him have to time to think of something to say. Perhaps it was a cruel joke of the training master; but the talking boy with the non-talking one (not that the man would have any reason to know this). Quietly, he turned his eyes to the sword that was patted. Sil had chosen to ignore most bullies; it was his mother's advice originally.

Silas soon rubbed the back of his neck when at the other's suggestion. "I guess... I can..." It wasn't like Sil already had a good majority of where all their classes were mapped out. Although the boy agreed, he didn't move from his spot; he wasn't much of a leader.

Jonathan of Tirragen - June 2, 2007 03:57 AM (GMT)
Jonathan was wondering on a few things all the sudden when the boy finally replied. “That would probably work out then, I can make sure we don’t get hurt and you can be the navigator.” That was a way to put it, and he sometimes found himself using terms like those, simply for something to do. It was not uncommon for him to try and confuse people with his wording.

The two might end up becoming a team; they were roommates after all, so they were stuck together. “Since we’re roomies we might as well try to get used to working with each other. We may be paired up in the field as well, and I don’t want to have to pick up your slack.” He didn’t mean it in a cruel way, it was just that he hated when people didn’t put in their share.

Silas of Heathercove - June 4, 2007 03:58 PM (GMT)
Silas let out a meak smile at the other page at the proposition, "Right." He said, not fully into the whole guarding and be guarded. Silently, Silas began to get up, readjusting his glasses. At the boys second comment, he blinked and starred. Silas felt both flustered and insulted; the boy hardly knew him to make such a remark. The page bit on his cheek, and looked to the floor, also intimidated. Bullies could be hypocritical at times, Heathercove reminded himself.

Heading to the door, he tugged on a curl to continue to distract himself, as with the other hand he waved the boy on. He decided it was best to ignore the comment, and stepped onto the hall. "You already know, this is the Page's Hall. And down this way is the Mess Hall." He stated, already heading off down the said direction.

Jonathan of Tirragen - June 4, 2007 06:33 PM (GMT)
Jonathan had not thought anything off about his comment, he was simply telling him to be sure to keep up. He was normally speaking his mind when he said thing such as that, but he really did mean no harm in it. Despite that, he could be cocky at times, having more training than most pages his age, he was better with a sword than most others. That was just how it was.

When the boy began to actually do what they had planned he simply followed him. “I see, good place to know, can’t fight on an empty stomach. Hopefully the food won’t be too bad, but if it is we’ll just have to suck it up.” That was a good point, warriors weren’t known with getting served the best food in the world, at least not at the castle while they were training.

Silas of Heathercove - June 5, 2007 03:52 PM (GMT)
Silas wasn't very fond of condescending people, or ones who thought that it was all right to push him around. He was smaller then the most of the boys, and never had much training before becoming a page. Everyone at the fief expected him to go to the University, since he prooved to do very well in school settings. It was shock when he asked to enroll as a page.

"Right." Was all Silas said as he led the way down, folding his arms across his chest. As they walked towards the mess door, he pointed at it, "And there it is." He said shortly, and continued to walk. Silas glanced down the noble's area, and then at the staircase that seemed to lead above the page's wing. "If you follow this, the last floor is for the teachers. And this way is to the Library." He stated, again, walking in said direction.

The two were going to be stuck together; he knew that, so he was thinking up plans for them. “Good... we need to know that. If we get in trouble you’ll have to lead the way, I’m sure you know some secret passageways by now or something.” He didn’t have any ideas for mischief just yet, but they would no doubt come in time. Jonathan was a good kid; he just tended to be playful.

The rooms seemed interesting, and he had to remember where all of this was. He was just following Silas for now, assuming they would end up going where they went. He seemed to actually know where he was going, so Jonathan really did trust him, at least for now. How the boy faired in combat would determine his place on the battlefield, and that would be tested in time.
