As viewable, there are plenty of places to place your character =) There are two seperate posts following this one: one post is for those who have read/know of Tamora Pierce's Tortall books, and one for those who don't, yet you are welcome to read both!

To those that have already read the books...
  • The first thing you should check is the Guidelines of the rules, located here!
  • Interested still? And ready to make a character? Check out our Character Rules located here!
  • Have a character in mind? Register with the board the exact name of your character (if you mess up, contact the Administrator and ask for a request to change it). Once you registered, you are ready to apply for your character. The outline for our application can be found here, and post the new topic here!
  • Don't forget the secret codes!
  • Next, you must wait for a staff member to review your application, and then approve it. After it is approved, your character will be moved to the Roster, your character added to our Character Index, and your member name assigned a member group, with a sub-title.
  • While you wait, or after, you are welcome to introduce yourself to the board here (and leave absences). And idle chatter, pretaining or not to the books, can only be done here
  • As your get further along with roleplaying your character, you can make a relationship thread, or subplots, with other characters here.
  • Would you like someone to create a relative character of yours? Or a friend? You can advertise and discuss them here! This is the same forum where the forum for ideas for a Board Plot can go!
  • Any questions? Still lost? Ask them here! Don't forget to check the Question Index thread first to see if your question was already asked.
  • Have fun roleplaying =)

To those that have not read the books...
  • Well, first, the board as a whole highly recommend you read the books! There are all by Tamora Pierce (obviously) and you can probably locate them at your nearest library and bookstore (mostly, I find they are in the Young Adult section):

    The Song of the Lioness
    Alanna: The First Adventure
In the Hand of the Goddess
The Woman Who Rides Like a Man
    Lioness Rampant

    The Immortals
    Wild Magic
    Wolf-Speaker
    The Emperor Mage
    The Realms of the Gods

    The Protector of the Small
    First Test
    Page
    Squire
    Lady Knight

    The Daughter of the Lioness
    Trickster's Choice
    Trickster's Queen

    The Provost's Dog
    Terrier
  • Provided you read all the books are not, the next thread that you should take some time to read is 'Surrounding Countries', located here. It pretains to information about Tortall and its government, along with other countries in the realm!
  • Next, it is suggested to read up on the Religion, located here.
  • Random information is located here.
