Ruveila had been sitting down to tea with her sister in law and good friend Findabhair. The Princess had grown tired of the Palace and had ventured back out and ended up at the home of her friend. She had enjoyed seeing her nieces and nephews, getting the bunch of questions from the very talkative Yuitama. After enduring this, the children had run off to play, and it left Ru, Fin and Ru's healer Tenten all sitting in the sunroom of the home. Ruveila had most of the day been having painful contractions but she had figured them fake and tried to ignore them.

" So Fin... you aren't going to be like the others at the Palace and start making bets on when I am going to birth here are you?" She asked, a giggle escaping her lips. She then felt cramping in her legs and stood up to walk it off when she felt a sharp bolt of pain and nearly doubled over. Tenten became concerned and moved over to her charge and rested her hand over the belly and smiled lightly. " Ruveila-hime... the baby is very low... it won't be too much-" The woman started then there was the swift rush of liquid that pooled slightly under Ruveila and the Princess noted it and paled considerably. " Oh no.. I think the baby is coming....now..." She said, looking in panic at Findabhair.

Fin sipped at her tea, enjoying the quiet talk with her best friend. She had missed this, as there was rarely any quiet time with the children anymore. Of course she loved her children, including the new addition, Tio. But that didn't mean day-to-day was any easier being a single mother of five.

Fin smiled at her sister, placing her cup of tea on the in table next to her chair. "No..I wouldn't do that. Besides, you never.." Fin faded off in concern as Ruveila stood up, seemingly in pain. When a pool rushed out at Ruveila's feet, Fin paled as well before quickly taking charge. "Okay..lay on our sofa, Ru..It will be alright. You'll do fine." Fin said, trying to mask the panic in her voice. Findabhair then called for one of her maids and quickly told the woman to get the usual supplies needed to birth a baby before turning to Ruveila and Tenten.

Tenten helped Ru over to the sofa and removed the two layers of the woman's kimono, leaving her in the thin pale blue one and then helped her lay back, proping her up with pillows. The healer then looked over at Fin, after she checked Ruveila's progress. " Good Goddess... she's already nearly crowning.. she must have been in labor all this morning... I remember her saying she was having those contractions...this will hopefully be over quickly." The woman said, noting when a servant came in with what was needed and looking over to Fin, Ten smiled a bit. " Can you wet a cloth and try to keep her cooled off and I can handle things baby wise.. this is not the first child I have helped bring into the world.." The woman shared, glad that her own daughter Kali was playing so easily with the Empress' own children.

Ruveila started crying, as it was really hurting her bad and she had trouble remembering to breathe through contractions, her cries starting to come up a bit louder. " Fin.. I'm... scared.... I don't.. owww.. know if I can.. oww...do this.." She said, inbetween winces. This was way more pain than she had ever felt and she felt like her insides were tearing apart and thankfully had not noticed that Tenten was sliding a towel under her to catch the blood that was coming out, as Ru's body was not used to childbirth and thus it was protesting.

Findabhair nodded as she listened to Tenten, already dunking a cloth into the water and wrining it out to get the extra water out. Kneeling by her best friend's side, she gently wiped at her forehead soothingly. "Shh... that's nonsense Ruveila..just think, you're bringing life into this world. Now isn't that worth a little pain?" She asked, trying to play it off as no big deal. "Besides, you've kicked some major arse in your day, can't let a little baby defeat you now. What would your fanclub think? Can't let Yuitama down..." She whispered, referring to her daughter as Ruveila's fanclub, as she was. Yuitama looked up to Ruveila.

Ruveila tried not to cry out again, but it came out a whimper, as it was just too painful for her to ignore. She felt a degree comforted by the fact she was around family and that Fin was keeping her from overheating. She also knew that Tenten was experienced in what she did and was a good healer... so she felt she was in capable hands. Tenten gave Fin a grin, one that was for the Empress doing well to keep Ruveila calm. The Healer gently pressed on Ru's stomach, and realized the child was definately down in the birth canal. " Alright now Ruveila... you've gotten past the worst of all this.. and follow my direction to the mark... breath in slowly and let it out slowly and as soon as I tell you, take in a breath, put your chin down to your chest and push and hold for a count of ten, then repeat each time I tell you." She said, looking at the Empress and nodding, pulling out another towel and setting it over her own lap and taking a sterile blade and placing it beside her and also a small cloth and pins, to diaper the child and a pale blue blanket to wrap it in.

Feeling the Princess' stomach grow rock hard again, she looked at Ru. " Now.. push and hold..." The woman instructed and Ru obeyed, crying out as she did so, trying to remember to breath. When it passed, she stopped pushing and let her breath out slowly. A minute later, the instruction came again and Ruveila did so, though Tenten looked concerned as the Princess was bleeding a bit too much for her liking but as she noticed the head appearing, she was comforted in the fact it would be ending soon. " Alright Ruveila... one more and you are going to be a mother...now give it your all!" She said and Ruveila cried out loudly as she pushed as hard as she could and felt something slip from her body and Tenten went into motion and severed the tie to Ruveila the infant had with the knife and wiped the child down clean and then diapered it up and as she did so, the female began to laugh softly.

" Happy birthday little girl" Ten said and after wrapping the now squalling infant in the blanket, she passed her up to Ruveila. The Princess was now crying for a different reason, overwhelmed with the feeling of love for the little life she now held. " Mother was wrong Fin.. I had a girl.. I had a feeling it was....I shall name her... Chihaya." She said, the name coming to her almost instantly as she looked down into the tiny face and felt the warmth of the child's fiery gift. She then turned to Fin, trying to stop the tears. " Yama bless... I'm a mother... and look at her eyes.. they are sort of blue grey... its pretty... and just look at all the hair." She commented and it was not lost on anyone that she was counting fingers and such, making sure the baby was alright. She was a little thing, about six pounds.

Findabhair continued to murmer words of comfort into her best friend's ear as she kept Ruveila's face cool with the wet cloth. "You're doing great Ru...just a bit more.." She said, repeating what Tenten had said.

As the babe was born, Fin was mesmerized, allowing a few silent tears to fall as well. "Oh Ruveila, she's beautiful!..I've finally got a niece to spoil!" She teased, unable to take her eyes off the little bundle. It almost made her want another child...almost. "Chihaya..that's beautiful Ruveila, what does it mean?"

Fin heard excited giggling coming from the steps and looked behind her towards the steps, smirking as she saw her two eldest daughters. "Miaka, Yui, come look at your new cousin..." She said, inviting the girls to run over and ohh and aww at the baby.

Tenten silently cleaned up the mess that was made, smiling to herself and was relieved that Ruveila was strong enough to pull through this alive... she and Hinote had been worried she might die, given her recovering wounds and all but the woman should have known better... Ruveila's name was one she was living up to, always rising back to emerge in victory. The girl had bled a lot but bedrest and taking care of herself would be key but she would recover.

" You.. want to hold her... you are her aunt." Ruveila said, holding the baby out to the woman and she was feeling rather weak from all the work her body had just done and a bit pale from blood loss and sore in places she was not used to but it was all forgotten as she had looked upon the very likeness of herself in the infant's face. She was very amused by the fact her genes were dominate and was eager to show the baby to Leon and Kataru, but that would come in time.

She then noticed her nieces and smiled at them. " Hello Yui and Miaka... I guess I did make a lot of noise huh....? So... do you like your cousin.. I bet she will love you." She said, feeling the tears start up again and now she finally understood what her mother had told her about the undying love one feels for the babies that they work so hard to give birth too... and that the pain of it all is so quickly forgotten. But Ruveila decided that she would rather not do that again for at least a couple of years and she would be married by then too she figured.

Fin eagerly took the babe from Ruveila's hands, not only to hold her niece, but also it looked like Ruveila was too weak to be holding her up like that. "Hello Chihaya...you are so beautiful...just like your mommy.." She whispered softly, kissing the baby's forehead before leaning down so that Mia and Yui could see. Miaka stared in wonder at the baby. "She so tiny.." She said meekly, having not remembered the birth of her twin siblings since she had been a bit young. "She's really pretty Aunt Ruveila...can we play with her?!" Yui said with excitement, wondering if she could dress the baby like one of her dolls.

Ruveila then absent mindedly realized Fin had actually asked a question. " The name means rebirth flame.. which is symbolic of life in the Yamani culture..." Ruveila replied, and Yama almighty, she felt tired! She tehn looked half dazed as Yuitama spoke, laughing weakly, then spoke to first Miaka then Yui. " Well Miaka dearheart.. all babies are tiny.. they have to grow just like you do and Yui... she is very fragile and you have to be very careful with her, your mother I am sure taught you that with Aisha and Aoki... but maybe I can let you and your sister held me pick out clothing for her and dress her sometime." She said, taking the cup of warm tea from Ten and drinking it slowly, feeling some of the ache in her body easing up a bit.

Findabhair smiled at the meaning of the baby's name. "It sounds perfect for her.." She whispered before giggling at her daughter, though let Ruveila answer them. "Yes, that sounds like a good idea, would you girls like that? You have to be very gentle around babies.." Fin said, and the girls bounced up and down at the idea. "We get to dress her!" Yui squealed, shaking her hands and bouncing on the balls of her feet as she did randomly sometimes, though mostly when she was excited. "Pink! We put her in pink..I like pink!" Miaka said, grinning at her aunt happily, she was definitely her mother's girly girl.
