Ruveila had about gone crazy staying in one room all the time and had ordered.. not asked.. ordered that she be taken outside the Palace for some fresh air. She was seated on the back of a horse that was loaned to her from the Palace stables and leading the horse was her guardsmen named Akio. Walking alongside the animal, a basket in hand, was her maid and personal healer named Tenten.
The Princess had first went to the temple and offered prayer and burned incense for her brother's soul and after leaving there, they had went to the market and bought a bunch of fresh fruit and Ru had bought some things for gifts, thinking to shop for midwinter early this year. As they passed by the residental district, she had decided on a whim that she wanted to visit Leon... maybe share some of her food with him and discuss a few things. As they stopped near the house, Akio moved to the side of the horse and helped the Princess down.
She was dressed in a dark blue kimono with swan print and a golden obi, that was tied above her stomach.... a maternity kimono and it had been her mothers before her and she liked it. Her hair was up in a bun and a large blue butterfly clip was pinned to it. Her stomach was very large at this point, as she would be due in a matter of weeks and she just wanted this kid out.. she was to the point of it being miserable now.
Moving towards the door, she lifted her hand to knock several times but chickened out for several minutes until Tenten threatened to do it for her and then she finally knocked. She was a bit nervous.. as it had been a bit since she last seen the mage and she found she missed him.. if nothing else, he could always cheer her up or make her laugh. She turned to her guard and waved him off, and the man decided to go do something with his rare free time and she did have a combat ready escort in Tenten anyhow.
Leon had been deeply engrossed in a game with Catrina, a simple card game when they had to match the cards via color and number, and if the person didn't have the card, they had to pick one from the pile. It was better if another person was present, but both liked the time spent to do such a thing together. Of course, none of the dishes were done, but all the laundry was hung up outside to dry, Mario the horse grazing at the grass. The horses ears had perked, but the hay and the grass was much interesting then who might be around to visit the Tegacis home. Besides, there was always the next door neighbor's horse to visit if he got lonely.
Both humans did look up when there was a quiet knock on the door, despite how intriguing their quiet game was. Catrina was the first up, closing the cards in her little hands and holding them close. A wild grin was on her face from the rush of the game, and Leon only smirked a little, asking if she trusted him, and she had only shaken her head in a definite no, which made him chuckle as he followed her to the door. Cat opened the door and looked up at the woman with her stomach out for what seemed a mile and a half. Still, she recognized the woman as the Ruveila from before. Quietly, without any emotion of love or hate on her face, she backed up behind Leon.
Leon smiled lightly at Ruveila in a welcoming sense as he pushed some hair out of his eyes, giving her some room to enter. "Hello, Princess Ruveila. What are you doing up? Oh, come in, and sit down... Are you thirsty?"
Ruveila had moved forward to enter, nearly toppling over after getting inside, though Tenten kept that from happening, balancing the girl until she was stable. The maid then handed the large basket to her mistress and bowed politely to Leon before she took up the chance to speak before the Princess. " Greetings Master Tegacis.. I am Tenten Okichibu, Ruveila's personal healer... and she quite firmly demanded to get out of the Palace.. despite her bedrest order..." The woman said, looking at Ruveila like a mother scolding a child.
Ruveila smiled rather sheepishly. " Okay... so I am a bad patient... but anyhow.. I was out at the market today and I thought I might come to say hello and I brought food this time... enough for probably five people... " She said, notcing Cat but was not sure what to say to the child, other than hello. " If this is a bad time... I can leave..." She started, her left hand resting over her abdomen, the bright pink ribbon tied around it standing out rather well against the blue of the kimono.
She then nodded as he asked if she was thirsty. " I would not mind a cool glass of water.. I ran out of my tea about half an hour ago." She said then looked about for a place to sit and decided on the couch, afraid of breaking the chairs with her weight. Her face carried its own glow of pregnancy but it was obvious to anyone that she was a bit miserable, what with all the weight. She then smiled weakly. " People at the palace are terrible... making bets on how much longer I am going to be pregnant... my mother thinks another week or so... Tenten here gives me till midwinter....and others give me like.. two days." She said with a hint of anxiety in her eyes.
