Title: A wonderful night
Description: -open-
William of Legann - October 27, 2007 02:50 AM (GMT)
Will laying down on the grass, wet with doe, stared into the vast sky. The twinkling stars, the shining moon, the wonderful early night breeze. The smell of flowers flowing in combination of the clear air, touched his face. The soft touch of the air, the humming sounds of birds, the quietness of the moon and all other wonders of the nature were present for Will to think about. His face filled with amazement, and all his attention to the natural sounds, the page didn't hear the 'somebody' come up beside him. When this person spoke Will was pulled out of his thoughts and stared into the face of....
Caoimhe of Masbolle - October 28, 2007 01:44 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe had been enjoying the night as well as she walked about the courtyards. Fully content for the first time in a while since she was all caught up on homework. As she walked about, she barely missed stepping on a boy who was laying on the grass. She jumped a couple feet back as she finally noticed him. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you there...William is it?"
William of Legann - October 28, 2007 05:07 PM (GMT)
Will looked towards the girl who was there and smiled. She probably was Caoimhe of Masbolle. He wasn't hundred percent sure of her identity, but when she spoke he knew she was Caoimhe, his fellow page. "It's okay. A dark night it is" Will said when she apologized. "Aye, I am William. And you are Caoimhe?"
Caoimhe of Masbolle - October 28, 2007 05:12 PM (GMT)
"Yes, night is usually a dark time of day." She said jokingly. "Yes, I'm Caoimhe. May I sit with you? I don't feel like going back into the palace just yet.." She asked, her hands intertwined with each other, as she bit her lip nervously.
William of Legann - October 28, 2007 05:17 PM (GMT)
Will laughed out loud at Caoimhe's joke. That was funny, he told her. He looked towards the shining stars, wondering why do stars twinkle. When he heard her ask if she could sit with him, he shifted a bit to make more room for her saying, "Sure. It was getting kinda lonely out here"
Caoimhe of Masbolle - October 28, 2007 05:25 PM (GMT)
"Thanks." She said softly, as she lay down beside him, using her arms, folded behind her head as a makeshift pillow. Caoimhe followed his gaze skywards and smiled as it made her think of something back home. "I remember..before my brother came to the palace to get his sheild, he and I would lay in the courtyards at night and look at the stars." She said, remeniscant. "He told me once that night is just a black sheet that is put infront of the sun and sky, and the stars are holes in the sheet, from years of wear and tear and the sun's light was leaking through them, and that's what made them shine."
William of Legann - October 28, 2007 06:16 PM (GMT)
"Anytime" Will replied. It was nice to be laying down under the black sky full of stars. The night breeze blowing softy. The young page was dressed in brown breeches and a lose white shirt. On top he had an green tunic. He was not in his page uniform, but just some comfortable clothes he wore when roaming around or laying at nights wondering about things that he was. He looked at Caoimhe when she talked giving her, his full attention. When she came to the part about the sun and the stars, his eyes grew wide. He liked to learn about stars and in amazement he eagerly asked, "Your brother really told you that? My brother and me also spent a lot of time in out courtyards and stables, but Louis, my brother, never told me anything like that!"
Caoimhe of Masbolle - October 28, 2007 06:50 PM (GMT)
Caoimhe giggled at her own reminescence. "Yes, he did. But I think he was only pulling my leg, telling me a tale. But I believed him nonetheless, I was so young. Not that I'm old now, of course." She said stating the obvious. "It seems a little silly to me now though. I mean, if night was a sheet, then who spreads it out every night?"
William of Legann - October 29, 2007 12:10 AM (GMT)
Will grinned. He knew what older brothers were like. He was very close to both of them, one a knight and the other waiting to be old enough to be in the University. They had also told him a lot of 'fairy tales' Especially his older brother, Julian. Whatever Jillian said, Will considered to be written in stone. "Aye, my brothers also told me stories about stuff" he said laughing softly. "You know, next year they are gonna teach us about stars in detail" Will said eagerly and he remembered what he had heard in the hallway from a second year page.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - October 29, 2007 12:25 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe smiled at this. "Seems as though we both have some experience with big brothers." She said wrily. At the thought of learning about the stars, Caoimhe grinned. "Well, guess it will be refreshing to learn of astronomy instead of old wives' tales."
William of Legann - October 31, 2007 01:36 AM (GMT)
Will bit back a laugh at Caoimhe comment about brother. "Aye" he said grinning. "Mine seem to have no work other them troubling me," he said, chuckling. When Caoimhe mentioned their studies, he thought about it a bit before replying. "Some one thinks that those 'old wives' tales' are important." He snorted. He didn't like what they taught at the palace either, especially history.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - October 31, 2007 11:42 PM (GMT)
Caoimhe giggled. "The only people who thinks those old wives' tales are true...are old wives." She joked, giggling to herself. "So how come your outside? Finish up your stack of homework?I figured I should give myself a break since I put a rather nice dent in the pile."She stated, proudly.
William of Legann - November 1, 2007 12:13 AM (GMT)
"Old wives..yes" he said laughing himself. "Someone should tell His Majesty about this. I'm sure he wouldn't want to be called an 'old wife'!" he said. "Not be to rude or anything" the page added quickly about his prior comment about the king. His lips were stretched in a huge grin. He fulled them apart showing his white teeth. "Homework, yes. I'm finished with it and I like spending time out here" Will told Caoimhe.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 2, 2007 09:54 PM (GMT)
Caoimhe smirked to herself before letting out a sigh. "Don't you just love free time? It has become quite the rarity." She said, only half jokingly. She truly did miss these times.
((bleh short..))
William of Legann - November 9, 2007 12:11 AM (GMT)
Will shrugged. He did miss free time: the fresh air, the large fields and the beautiful horses. He remembered all those moments he had spend at his Fief and sighed. "Aye, I do love free time too. I wish we had more of it, here!" the page said softly, memories still fresh in his mind.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 10, 2007 12:45 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe laughed bitterly at the thought. Yea, that was a wish that was never to come true. "Yes...that would be a miracle in itself." She said, still a bit bitterly. She loved her life, and training. She just secretly loathed how little free time they got. They never had time to just be kids anymore.
William of Legann - November 11, 2007 02:28 AM (GMT)
Will smiled at Caoimhe. "Aye" he said in response to what she had just said. He laid down on his back, his head laying on his callused palms. He looked for something in the stars, something that he had noticed before Caoimhe had come. He found it soon and then in a very excited tone said, " Look, up there!" pointing towards the sky, "Isn't that marvelous? Those stars when connected look like a sword!"
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 11, 2007 02:37 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe giggled to herself for no apparent reason other than the fact that she was just in a good mood. Caoimhe tried to see what Will was pointing at but she just couldn't see it. She layed her head closer to his, trying to look from something close to his point of view. "I can't see it..." She said and glanced over at Will, noticing how close she was to him, she blushed. Caoimhe didn't want to make it obvious, however so simply stayed where she was.
William of Legann - November 11, 2007 03:20 AM (GMT)
Will pointed towards the stars again. This time he talked to her through it. "You see, if that one is connected to the one of left and then is connected to the one right below...” he said moving his finger as he pointed to each star that concerned him. His eyes were fixed on the sky and he didn’t realize that Caoimhe had come closer to him. He kept talking as if completely observed in the sky. He body made no movement and his eyes were still, blinking very less as if he feared that if his eyelids closed down the stars would move away from him. When he was done, he glanced sideways towards Caoimhe and blushed. He realized the closeness between them, but he didn’t move either. He felt the same thing: not wanting the other person to know he was blushing because of the closeness.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 11, 2007 03:26 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe smiled as she finally noticed what he meant. "Oh yes! I see it now! That's neat. We should name it. All swords need a name." She same, citing something her father had said once. Caoimhe glaced at him once again, and quickly looked away, clearing her throat for he had been looking at her too.
William of Legann - November 11, 2007 03:38 AM (GMT)
Will grinned when Caoimhe said she could see the imaginary sword in the dark sky. "A name? That is a great idea, Caoimhe. Would you like to name it?" the page asked her. When he saw Caoimhe turning to look his way, his face immediately turned back to the sky, as he blushed slightly.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 11, 2007 03:41 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe bit her lip in thought as to a name. "How about Willoimhe? It's a mixture of both our names." She said, smiling proudly. She was not sure where she got the idea, it just seemed neat. Caoimhe shivered a bit, in the cool night air.
William of Legann - November 11, 2007 03:58 AM (GMT)
Will laughed slightly at the name. Not that he meant to offend Caoimhe; it was just a friendly laugh. "That would be great!" he finally said, once finished 'giggling'. Will was rather used to the cold, and he liked it. "You seem cold." he commented. Taking off a jacket sort of cloth he was wearing on his tunic, he offered it to Caoimhe. Later, he blushed slightly realizing what he had done.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 11, 2007 05:13 PM (GMT)
Caoimhe couldn't help it, when people laugh around her, she laughs. Caoimhe smiled at him when he handed her his jacket. "Thank you." She said, the annoying blush still present. "How many brothers or sisters do you have?"she asked, trying to make conversation.
William of Legann - November 12, 2007 10:02 PM (GMT)
Will returned Caoimhe's smile with a friendly look on his face. He turned his face away, when he realized it getting red. I need to learn how to control my emotions! the page thought. When the other page asked about his family, he shrugged, "Oh, I have two older brothers, one older sister, and one younger step sister." He didn't mention about his second younger step sister as she was dead and William let it be that way.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 12, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
Caoimhe giggled to her utter embarassment when she noticed his blush. She really needed to control herself, she was acting like her sister...ewww. "You..um...you're lucky. I wish my sister was younger than me, mine likes to boss me around. Says she has 'seniority'." She said with a huff. "Next time I see her I actually get to pull a fast one on her, that will be fun." She said, imagining her sister, and mother's face. "I didn't have much technique in fighting before I came here." She stated, by way of explanation.
William of Legann - November 12, 2007 10:53 PM (GMT)
Will laughed slightly as Caoimhe mentioned about her sister. "My brother taught me a little bit before I came here." he said, referring to fighting techniques. Think about his own sisters, "I have an older sister, too" he reminded her. "And if I try something on her, she is a squire. So, as you would have already guesses, she would kill me!" Will said with a laugh. Being a squire, his sister was mostly busy with her knight master and they got to see each other only during mid-winter, and sometimes not even then, like last year.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 12, 2007 11:03 PM (GMT)
Caoimhe cringed, now that she thought about it, having a sister who could fight, would stink. She could only imagine what life would be like if Evelyn could fight and yell her head off too. The thought sent unpleasant shivers down Caoimhe's spine. "Well then I guess we both have sisters that are to be feared, in some way or another." She joked, a smile playing at her lips. Caoimhe looked about her quickly and an idea occured to her. "Are you sure you don't want your jacket back? It's a pretty cool night out."
William of Legann - November 17, 2007 12:21 AM (GMT)
Will chuckled softly. He, too, thought that having a sister who could both act as a lady and yell in your ears and fight would be the worst of the dreams. His sister however, could only fight, she never screamed and if he made her mad, she would challenge him and then beat him. Even so Will still loved his sister very much. He cared for her and was passionate about her. He could not see her in pain. Glancing at Caoimhe and noticing the smile on her lips, he smiled in return. HE didn't say anything about his sister instead shook his head and politely told her, "No, its fine. I love the cold weather. Thanks"
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 17, 2007 12:36 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe rolled her eyes. "You must have lots of hidden fur or something. I hate the cold, can't stand it." She said wrapping his jacket tighter around her. "Who do you miss the most? I miss my da. He was the best...ma...I could honestly do without." She said, she loved her mother, but sometiems she could be such a ..lady.
William of Legann - November 17, 2007 12:44 AM (GMT)
Will smiled and then let out a light soft laugh. "If you say so," he said jokingly. "I don't know why but I was always attached to the snow," the page said with a thoughtful look on his face. When asked about whom he missed the most, Will though about it before answering. His sister was already her, her mother in the Dark God's Realm, and in the ends said, "My brothers, Julian and Louis." Louis was going to come to Corus soon, but Julian was not. He didn't even care about his father, much less his step-mother. "I'm not close to my father."
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 17, 2007 12:53 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe giggled and nudged his shoulder with her own playfully. "Alright my bear-ish friend. Now I have the image of you, as a bear, rolling in the snow." She teased, the quickly turned solemn. "Oh, well that's cool, to be that close to your brothers." She said, wondering why he wasn't close to his father, but didn't want to ask. "I'm pretty close with mine too. They helped teach to me alot."
William of Legann - November 17, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
Will replied her playful nudge with a slight push from his own soldiers, in a playful way. "Okay, my cat-ish friend. I'm a bear rolling in the snow and you are a cute little cat sitting in the sun!" his voice was full of fun and amusement. Thanking back to Julian and Louis, Will nodded, "Aye, my brother did that too. Julian, fighting and Louis...well… all sort of university work," he said laughing slightly.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 17, 2007 01:08 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe's blush darkened at being called cute. He was talking about a cat...not me, exactly. She tried to tell herself. "Well then, now that we've established what we are..." She joked, letting her sentence trail off. "University stuff? So your smart too?Wow, could have fooled me." She teased.
William of Legann - November 17, 2007 01:14 AM (GMT)
Will blushed when he noticed the girl page blushing; he realized that he had indirectly called her cute. Well, she is cute, he thought. Then, regretted it as the pink color changed to red on his cheek. He just smiled, unable to say anything at that moment. When she mentioned the university he said, "Well, I'm smart, no doubt! I don't know about you though...." He was just teasing her, his black eyes twinkling and a grin on his face.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 17, 2007 01:17 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe couldn't help but smile shyly when she saw his cheeks had colored as well. Though as he spoke, her mouth went agape. "...I'm so gonna get you for that!" She said before pouncing on him, ready to wrestle.
William of Legann - November 19, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
Will's grin vanished as Caoimhe suddenly pounced came at him. He slightly moved and then rolled on his back, getting out of reach till the other page came after him. Quickly sitting up, Will made a teasing face and smiled as something came to his mind, "Silly, you are not smart....you are very smart!" His voice trailed off and made way for the light laugh that followed.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 19, 2007 11:49 PM (GMT)
Caoimhe scowled at him, jokingly. She then smiled as she sat next to him. "I thought that's what you meant." She said, as she giggled. "Or was it that you were afraid to be beat by a girl?" She asked, daring him.
William of Legann - November 19, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT)
Will made a face. "Oh did you, now?" he joked. "Then why did you come at me like that? " His voice was soft, not meaning any insults. At the latter comment Will, too, scowled. "As if you can beat me!" the page said, accepting the challenge that was just thrown at him.
Caoimhe of Masbolle - November 20, 2007 12:04 AM (GMT)
"Yes, I did!" She said laughing. "Oh wanna bet?!" Caoimhe retorted before pouncing ontop of him and holding him down. "What do you say to that?!" She asked, before blushing, when she realized how close they were.
