Title: Tomoko and Caoimhe's Room

Caoimhe of Masbolle - April 20, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe walked into her room, carrying her small box of little treasures, that to anyone else would seem worthless. Though to Caoimhe, each had its own value. She looked about the room and smiled. She was in her new home. Caoimhe set her box down on what she claimed to be her bed, for there were two. Though, since she seemed to be the first to arrive, she firgured she got the pick of the slim pickin's.

Tomoko of Naxen - April 20, 2007 01:57 AM (GMT)
Rather silently, the tiny figure of Tomoko appeared in the doorway, escorted by a servant to the room that she would now call home for the next four years of her life. Noting immediately she had a roommate and that the girl almost seemed like a friendly face, Moko clearned her throat before carrying her small trunk over to the empty bed and dresser and such on the other side of the room and sat down on the bed, silent for a few moments, while pondering on what to say to this girl. After the silence got to her, she got up and moved over to Caiomhe and extended her hand. " Tomoko of Naxen, Looks like we will be roommates. Nice to meet you."

Caoimhe of Masbolle - April 20, 2007 02:14 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe watched the girl come in, biting her bottom lip shyly. She wasn't sure what you did in these situations. When the silence was drawn out, her cheeks rosened, she was glad when the girl stood, breaking the silence. "Caoimhe of Masbolle. Please to meet you as well." caoimhe noticed Tomoko had brought her own trunk, well now she felt like one of those noblewomen who didn't do anything for themselves and ordered the servants to do everything...which is what she had done. She had asked a servant to bring her trunk to her room. She was beginning to wonder where it was when a small tap on the door answered her question. "Your trunk miss." The same servant who she had asked to bring the trunk stated, peaking his head in. "Ah thank you." The servant brought it inside the room. "Just set it right there, I've got it from here, thanks." She stated, wanting to atleast carry it to the other side of the room. The servant however, simply shrugged and stepped out with an uttered. "g'day misses."

Tomoko of Naxen - April 20, 2007 02:20 AM (GMT)
Moko smiled and shook the other girl's hand before moving back over to her end of the rooma nd pulling her treasures first from her trunk, her collection of seven lucky cats. She arranged them neatly on the dresser that was hers before pulling out various clothing articles. " Masbolle... Oh right now I remember. You've quite a legacy in your bloodline, much like my family does.. people will probably expect more of us because of the names we carry and that we are girls. I had to fight with my Da for a year to be a Page... because all my sisters were convent girls and I hate that idea personally."

Caoimhe of Masbolle - April 20, 2007 02:31 AM (GMT)
As Tomoko began to get her things in order, Caoimhe thought it wise to do the same. She heaved her trunk over to her side of the room and began unpaking her clothes into her dresser. "Why would they expect more from us because we are girls? I thought the rumor was the stuck up's expect less of us?" She asked confused. "Oh dear...I'm lucky then I didn't have to fight, though I did have to endure my mother trying to teach me how to be a lady throuh out my entire life. I guess she was trying to drill it into me while she still had the chance." She stated with a snicker, finishing putting her clothes up and moving to her treasures box. She then took out her seven lucky cats that her grandmother had given her and put them atop her dresser. Smiling she turned to face Tomoko and saw her cats. "You've got them too!"

Tomoko of Naxen - April 20, 2007 02:51 AM (GMT)
Moko giggled. " My sisters know better than to harp at me.. my brother would step in an defend me.. He's the one that supported me being a Page the most." She replied then grinned as she noticed her rommie had the same cats. " Wow.... that is so cool! You have the lucky seven set as well... and I pretty sure we'll need that luck. Do you have anything else Yamani with you? I have my glaive."

Caoimhe of Masbolle - April 20, 2007 08:22 PM (GMT)
"My sister was allowed to harp at me about being prim, atleast around mama, since mama would probably join in." Caoimhe stated, with a frown. "Oh yes, we need all the luck we can get, I'm sure." She giggled. "Of course, I've a glaive as well. My grandmother gave it to me. Though I'm not very good with it. Gram'ma always said I had the mind of a yamani but the fingers of a tortallan...never knew what she meant, she's tortallan after all just was raised in the islands." She babbled on. Realizing as such, she blushed scarlett. "Sorry, I do that sometimes."

Tomoko of Naxen - April 21, 2007 02:31 AM (GMT)
Moko grinned and then shook her head. " Don't worry about it.. I babble on and on too and have a habit of thinking aloud. " Naxen explained, smiling at her hopefully soon to be friend. " I know somes basics witht eh glaive if you ever want to just learn as something to do when we get any time to ourselves. My mother was a commoner from the Yamani Islands so I had to learn two languages and such, which is why I know what I do with the glaive and the language."

Caoimhe of Masbolle - April 21, 2007 09:46 PM (GMT)
Caoimhe returned the Naxen girl's smile. It seemed they had a lot in common. "That'd be great! Though I hardly think we'll have any time to ourselves for a while." Caoimhe stated frankly. "Course I learned from my gram'ma." She stated, after Tomoko stated where she had learned. "Well, I tried to learn. My sister...you should have seen it. Gram'ma tried making her learn, she told her every womn needs some kind of protection, but my sister refused. She's so much like my mama.."

Tomoko of Naxen - April 24, 2007 02:57 AM (GMT)
" Well they have to give us some time off sometime.. or else we'd fall over dead or something. Plus we got to have time for homework and the like right? I am sure we could figure something out.Maybe if we are really good and don't get into a lot of fights, we might get some time off and instead of going to the city or something, we could glaive practice." Tomoko rattled on, her little mind going a hundred miles an hour.

Caoimhe of Masbolle - April 24, 2007 05:53 PM (GMT)
"That sounds good to me. Oh! And we could help each other with our homework so then we can get it done faster!"She stated, becoming excited, she had gotten a friend within minutes of arriving this was definitly going to be a good year. "We'll have more under our belts than all the other kids, since we'll be the only ones learning the glaive as well."

Tomoko of Naxen - May 1, 2007 06:33 AM (GMT)
Moko nodded. " Yeah.. we will already know the basics of polearms, thanks to the glaive. My big brother is a Knight and he even said I was right on that one." She added, biting back her excitement.

Caoimhe of Masbolle - May 2, 2007 07:03 PM (GMT)
Caoimhe smiled, unlike Tomoko she had a harder time containing her excitement. The girl shifted from foot to foot with pure joy. This was going to be so awesome. "We'll do better than any boy." She said, spitting out the last word, still being in the cootie stage.

Keladry of Masbolle - August 5, 2007 06:50 PM (GMT)
--Mid-Winter--

Kel had come down to the Page wing, her old memories of this place stirring in her aging mind. She walked along, having permission from the Training Master to visit her granddaughter. Finding the door with her name and the Naxen girl on it, the Lady Knight was let in and as she stood there, she could not tell which side was Caoimhe's. In her hands she held a gift for the child.

Caoimhe of Masbolle - August 5, 2007 11:41 PM (GMT)
Caoimhe had been in the privy when she heard the door open. She hurried to wash her hands before going out to see who it was, when she saw who, she froze. "Grandmama!" She screeched, running over and giving her a hug. She couldn't believe it! She had come to Corus. Though Caoimhe didn't have much time to bond with kel, she was still her favorite grandmama, for obvious reasons.

Keladry of Masbolle - August 6, 2007 12:35 AM (GMT)
Kel laughed. " Easy child.. I do break now you know." Kel replied with a smile as she patted her granddaughter's head. " How has the Page life been treating you and I can't tell which side is yours... do you have a Yamani roommate?" She asked, remembering the days she had her own quarters but Roald had changed that do to the swell of incoming Pages since the days when they were that young.

Caoimhe of Masbolle - August 6, 2007 12:40 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe giggled and stepped away from her grandmother, so as to get a proper view. "It's been great. A few bullies, and math is really hard...but nothing that I didn't expect." She stated, having never been too good at math. "Oh yes! Her name is Tomoko of Naxen, we practice with the glaive together. She helps me get my footing right." She stated, having had the tendency to always shift her feet.

Keladry of Masbolle - August 6, 2007 12:48 AM (GMT)
Kel smiled softly. " I hope you didn't give into those boys.. not with my blood in your veins... and I brought you a few things for Mid-Winter.. its practical but will help you like it did me." Kel replied, having brought her bruisebalm, weights for her arms and ankles to build up muscle tone and a new blade of Yaman steel, something that would last for a very long time.

" Naxen eh? I was not aware that Aiden had married.. oh good grief I am so behind times. Its good that you have a nice friend willing to help you out, it took me some time to get my feet in the right place as well, but Noriko painfully reminded me of where they went.."

Caoimhe of Masbolle - August 6, 2007 01:09 AM (GMT)
Caoimhe gave her grandmother a look that said 'what, are you kidding me?' "No way, they know not to mess with me. Though I did have to bite one, to finally get the point across. He was a big and mean kid...really good at fighting too." She said, thinking big guys were usually lumbering cooks, but that fight had change her view on that.

"OH yea, she's a great help. Though I'm glad she's not a brutal teacher like yours." She said, knowing the stories. Caoimhe didn't want to take the gift from her grandmother, but she loved presents. However, she keptt her hands in her pockets, to keep them from reaching for the gift.
