Player Name: You're name, whatever it may be; we keep one in order to keep track of a person's characters. Where did you hear about/find us?: Was it... a friend, google, advertisement .... which brought you to us? Name: Your character's full name. Title: A list of titles can be found: here. Date of Birth // Age: Months and days run the exact same as real life. The current year is listed at the top, and subject the wished age from 497 and you have a year. Affinity: Which God or Goddess does your character primarily worship? Make it sensible; if they are to be a Rogue, they would most likely pray to Kyprioth. Also take in mind nationality. A K'mir would more than likely worship their own Goddess of healing rather than the Green Lady. Who a character worships also depicts their personality; a worshipper of Chaos would no sooner frolic with kittens in dandelions. Appearance Face and Structure -Everything about the face: eyes (shape, position, & color), nose (shape & position), chin (round/square, & cleft or not), slant of the jawline, ears (big, small, bitten, & position), hair (color, straight, curly, wavy, long short, & dyed), lips (shape & hue), eyebrows (color, shape, & position), skin (light or dark), teeth (straight, crooked, chipped or missing) and overall structure (round, oval, square, or heart). It doesn't necessarily have to be in that order. Also pay mind to nationality - if the character is Yamani, they will have eyefolds, if Carthaki they will be dark skinned. You can also talk about expressions - dimple when smiling, wrinkles when they laugh, temple vein appears when angry, etc. Lastly, you can also talk about the structure of the body: short or tall, long or stubby fingers/toes, knobby knees/elbows, lanky or stout, shoulders broad or thin, neck long or short, fat or skinny, & how do they walk? This section should have at least one flaw, be it a scar, a limp. a missing limb, a slur, a stutter, etc. The possibilities are endless and required. Clothing -What color of clothing does your character perfer (Commoners tend to have earthy tones, and nobles would be more flashy)? What type of clothing (skirts, blouses, trousers, tunics, robes, or naked)? Jewelry (Nobles and rich merchants are more likely to have many rings and necklaces; Commoners might have heirlooms - maybe)? Weapons (Most have a dagger, for eating and cutting, but knights and other military persona would have flashier weapons)? Extra -This is for anything that doesn't apply in the above, i.e: family pets, children, kid tag-alongs, NPC friends, horses, and whatever you are not sure of where else to put it. Avatar Claim (Optional) // It can be a celebrity, an anime, or just a picture that represents your character. History Family Constellation -The general make-up of your character's family - names are required. Its almost like an ancestral tree. Except, I would recommend not going any further up than grandparent. If you are exceptionally organized, you can add cousins and aunts/uncles. Character's History -Everything about your characters past - even if they don't know it! Keep it in past tense. Some Histories may be boring, but try to make it two paragraphs. Any points in life that primarily impacted your character should be here, and explain certain quirks about your character, such as why they have that scar. The History is the most important part of the character, and should be written that way. Personality General Behavior -How does character act around strangers? Friends? Enemies? What are their likes and dislikes? What do they want out of friends? Are they humorous or stiff? Do they stick to the rules or are they mischievous? Are they a know-it-all or carefree? Prejudices or racisms? This too is required to have one flaw. Talents/Skills -What is your character good at? What do they know what to do the best? What weapons, if any, do they excel at? What do they have trouble with? Can they doing anything special (everyone has something only they can do!)? This is a good place to fully desribe the advantages and disadavantages of your character's gift, if they have any, or weapon proficiencies Sample Post -Show me what you can do with your character, and that you can keep up the pace of a paragraph per post. I also consider this a chance for you to stretch your fingers out with your new character. Hidden Codes -These you have to find for your first character, only. |

Player Name: Cait/Hailey/Lily (I'll respond to almost anything, actually, even Admin if you feel the need.) Where did you hear about/find us?: I made the board, sillies. Name: Alyse of Northwatch Title: Head Healer at the Palace Date of Birth // Age: May 19, 469 ;; 28 Affinity: the Great Mother Goddess ;; the Green Lady Appearance Face and Structure Alyse's face is petitely structured, with a small nose, thin lips, a delicate chin, and a thin neck. Her eyes are a shape similar to an almond, the irises the color of which has been passed down through generations: a green hazel. Her hair is cut shorter then the trend at court, around her shoulders, and is a slightly darkened copper color, naturally highlighted with blonds. She keeps it short for practical reasons, mostly so it will stay off her face, and so she doesn't have to do much with it. The healer stands at a solid five foot, knowing that when she gets older, and begins to shrink, she will be a midget. Her figure is slim, but that does not mean she is fit. She doesn't perform many excercises, but the Infirmery keeps her on her feet. Clothing When working, Alyse wears simple white robes, but clean ones, normally with something nice looking beneath (yet nothing she'd care if it got dirty). It is true that some of them will have notable, fading, stains, but unless the spot is huge she won't replace it. Her hair, even though short, is still tied back with a clothe bandana, or the likes. Once her shift is up, though it is off with the robe and into the trouser and shirt. The healer isn't one much for any of the tight fitted clothes, but rather the loose style Queen Thayet had brought with her. You will only find this girl in a dress at court functions, meetings, or when she needs to make an impression and look professional. Extra Alyse avoids wearing much jewelry for reasons such as she doubts anyone cares how pretty she is while she's curing an ill person. Make-up isn't much of a concern for the woman, as she fails to fully understand the technique behind it. She does have a crazy, setter, named Rufus, named after his red coat. Aly believes he is good to have around for several reasons; to bargain with the little kids, and her ill patients seem to cheer up a bit. It is true he will cause a ruckus, or get too noisey, but the pairs antics are amusing. Avatar Claim(Optional) // Bryca Dallas Howard History Family Constellation Father: Joshua of Northwatch (Noble, Knight; 53) Mother: Ella Sheldon of Northwatch (Lady, Healer; 49) Brother: Amos of Northwatch (Mithran Priest; 23) Brother: Charles of Northwatch (Knight; 22) Character's History Alyse was born to a commoner mother, Ella Sheldon, and a lesser son of the fief of Northwatch, Joshua. Aly's grandmother was the healer for the fief, so when they were kids, they were already acquainted. It wasn't until after Joshua got his sheild did the two begin to fall in love. So, the two married, and had their first daughter, Alyse. Following five years later was the first boy, Adam. Alyse didn't mind him much at all, and found his infant-like quietness and optimism contagious. However, that began to change the next year when Charles was born; he was more of a wild child, not to mention loud. At age six, Alyse was not really all that found of him. As they matured, and the boys learned to talk, Aly began to be get more, and more annoyed with her brothers. They were always arguing, and fighting. They could play nice sometimes, but that was only when their parents around. When Alyse was with them, it often made the girl wish they never learned to talk. However, when she was stuck with only one, she did realize that maybe she liked her little brothers. Maybe. Around the age of ten, she didn't show any signs of the gift, but seeing how Ella had it, the parents decided to get her checked. To her delight, she did, one that was well atuned to healing. It wasn't as strong as her mothers, but it was something she could work with. After brief tutorings with her mother, along with Reading, Writing, and Mathematics from her father, she left to go to the University at age 14. Her years felt quick, and she was not yet as sarcastic as she was now, but she did have a streak to be so back then. She didn't keep much in contact with brothers, other then through her letters to her parents. All she knew that as the boys entered puberty, it was good thing they were going their seperate ways. Amos went to become a priest, and Charles went to become a knight. Chances were, Alyse would see them again, and she knew that, and accepted it. After she graduated, she went to the palace for a job as a trainee healer; it was around this time, as she became more exposed to grumpy noble patients, that she became more sarcastic. It was to a point, where some wondered if she would be better off in a different environment. But, her skill with the bodies of the patients was exceptionally well, so the Head decided to keep her. This was because they realized that even if Alyse didn't like something, she treated them all the same. The Head Healer herself was getting ready for retirement in a few years, and to many surprises, she chose Alyse to carry on her task. That was last year, and now the previous Head relaxes in the country, whilst Alyse of Northwatch runs the infirmary of the Palace. Personality General Behavior Alyse has almost two different types of personalities, one when she is working, and the other when she is off duty. On duty, she can be drastic, especially when it comes to saving someone's life, and rather stand-offish with the patients that come in. She tries not to communicate too much with the patients that come, as, despite her un-womanly attitude, she does not wish her maternal instincts to take over, and get attached. She does have a lazy streak, especially when every parent comes in during the spring, asking why their child is sick. She cares very little for stupidity. Perhaps the only patients she might actually talk to patiently are those that shes on a regular basis. Off duty she is naturally sarcastic, a taste of dry humor always with her. Alyse tries not to think about work, but if she has to do anything healer-ish, she'll do it only if someone asks. In her opinion, there should be a healer, or a doctor near by, that she doesn't have to work. She can be harsh with her jokes, enough that some might think that she is mocking them. Talents/Skills Alyse, suprisingly, doesn't have much of a gift to boast about, and it is a pale violet-red. It is stronger then the basics, being she could stop blood flow, re-align bones, reduce pain, heal most cuts or burns, banish most diseases, and put most poisons at bay. Yet her real talent in healing comes from her knowledge of herbs, and antidotes (which includess making them as well). She knows every part of the code of healers, and has a very good grasp of the internal human body. Another one of her talents, is knowing how to speak broken parts of foreign languages. At the University, Alyse figured she didn't know where she was going to wind up, so she took a bunch of language courses as a background type of thing. She knows how to ride, like any good lady, and she has little knowledge of how to pin someone down to bed if she must, or render them unconscious. Alyse, despite her skills in alchemy, is not so great of a cook when it comes to regular meals, but rather, desserts and sweets. Another skill that has come with her through the years was learning how to get almost any stain out of clothes. She's a pretty green thumb, as most herbs she grows around the palace grounds, and there are many times she'd rather be with plants then with humans -- after all, they don't bleed or puke on her, or scream at her. They just thank her with providing their regeants. Sample Post Alyse of Northwatch rightfully swooped into the Infirmery; she had caught word from a messenger boy that there was a lady ready to give birth. Apparently the noble was going into hysterics, frightening her nurses as she demanded to be pain free. Of course, the poor lasses were trying to offer a potion that would hopefully work. The Lady didn't want anything to hopefully work, she wanted it to do so positively. Somewhere on the otherside of the room, a disheveled husband held his face with his hands. I'm surprised no one has hit her yet, She thought dryly, as she stalked into the room. A bit of aggravation was twisted onto her face, as the woman neglected her presense. "You, get the rawhide." Alyse stated, pointing to the one who held the cup of the pain-reliever. Setting the cup and it's contents down with a bang, the lesser healer immediately stood up, moving to aid. Aly's green eyes then turned to gaze across at the woman, as she picked up the cup, and offered it. "And you, shut up. If you keep this up, the fetus is never going to come out. I wouldn't blame him -- or her." The noblewoman gave her best glare at the healer, pursing her lips into a thin line. She only broke the contact as another contraction went through. Northwatch immediately took the chance to dump the contents in the woman's mouth. She watched apathetically as the woman made a face; it wasn't the best stating stuff, but normally when it was like that; it worked the best. |
