Season
Early Winter - December - 497 H.E.
The air is chilly during the day, and frigid during the nights. Icicles hang from the bare branches of trees, a layer of ice on lakes are thick enough to skate on, and the grounds are covered with fluffy snow, perfect for snowball fights. The long, clear nights hint of a slowly approaching holiday, Yule. Decorations are being prepared in both the city and the palace's main ballroom.

Atrium de Caeli Meditatio An ancient ballroom, the largest in all of Tortall, is said to of been engineered by the Old Ones. Located at the westernmost edge of the castle, the floor length windows on the side, are rumored to be magic, due to their size. The floor is made of marble, and a dias is placed at the north side for Their Majesties. At the southern end, there lies an alcove, with huge, navy blue curtains pulled aside with silver rope, tables for food present. A wide, swooping staircase is at the main entrance, the arches of the entrance decorated with the navy curtains and silver cord. The small, announcement area is of wood walls, the floor covered again with a navy and silver rug. The only entrance is by two, wooden doors with silver handles.

Library Anyone is allowed to browse the countless shelves of scrolls, books, and other texts of the cavernous library. It offers the silence for studying, information for scholars, spells for mages, and recreational books for the public. Fines are given to those who damage or forget to return a book.

Great Hall This building is set between the dormatories, and not too far from the class rooms. A kitchen is attached to the back, along with storages, gardens, and rooms kept magically cold, to prevent the meat from going bad. The Great Hall serves as a place for eating, and any socializing events the campus might hold.

Temple District | Alms House |
All the temples to the gods can be found here, built greater than the houses of nobles. The homeless are always welcome, the Alm House providing them with most of their needs. The doors are also always open to those seeking sanctuary or prayer. The priests and priestesses have their own gaurds, of which it is a privelage to protect those who dilever the blessings and teachings of the gods.

Upper Corus | Public Baths | Provost's Corner |
This is where the more high-class restuarants and inns have made settlement, where the public baths are placed for the higher classed merchants. Other forms of small businesses, such as Guild Halls, and the Provost's Corner (complete with his office, jail, and gallows).
The main attraction, however, lies within the Eventide Province - it is located at the end of the City, by the River, and has a stage set up, cafe's, benches, tables, and more. For every festival, the area is decorated, and perfomances held.

Residential Homes to the citizens of Corus, mostly those who work at other places, or do odd jobs about the City. The roomier and larger homes are placed closer to towards the Marketplace, the value and size decreasing as one gets closer to Lower Corus.
OOC Note: If you will be posting a fair amount of times in your characters home, you may request a sub-forum to be added simply by PMing Cait

Lower Corus | Dancing Dove |
Every city has its downs, and the Lower parts of Corus is where the kidnappers, theives, murderers, and street rats call this place home. The houses could barely even be considered such, being broken down and dirty. Out of all the rowdy taverns, there sits one above the all, The Dancing Dove, headquarters of the Rogue.
