I learned of a great website which teaches people Japanese for free! It's called www.japanese-online.com
I highly recommend it to anyone willing to learn the language.. It's where I heard about Anime Neko in the first place. ;)

Hey, I go to that site too! I go to japanese-online.com to learn more japanese! I was the one who posted the message that tells people to come to this site because it was no fun with only me coming visiting this site all the time.

All right Retasu, here are some of my favorite (and in my opinion the best) books: 1. "Say it in Japanese," a great phrase book and once u get the phrases in this book down u can replace words and come up with more and more phrases; 2. "Essential Japanese Grammar," a very helpful book in learning all about the language; 3. "Sanseido's New Concise Japanese-English Dictionary," a great dictionary that has the word in Japanese and meaning in English; and 5. "How to Learn a Foreign Language," by the title u hopefully guessed that it is a book on how to learn a nother language (it may sound ridiculous, but i am teaching myself and it is a lot of help. Hope these books help u in your studys. Glad I could help.
