Title: NC Insider's Update
Description: May 6 Primary Looming

tkdveg - April 30, 2008 03:25 PM (GMT)
Hi Guys!! Long time no see - I've missed you all!
I'm not gone, and hopefully not forgotten :(
I've just been away from a computer a lot - between my computer going in for "cleaning" and my hours at work being cut in half, I haven't had much access or free time lately, so...

Anyway, it's been very busy politically here in NC!! This is the first time I can ever remember NC having any real political power in the primaries - it's usually pretty much a done-deal by the time May rolls around! HC and BO (and all their minions) have certainly made numerous appearances over the last couple of weeks.

The biggie was having Hillary in my backyard!! Uh, sort of. OK, she wasn't in MY backyard, but she was in my neighbor's backyard and kitchen filming a new ad. She was in the alley 2 houses from me!! What's really funny is that she was essentially surrounded by Obama supporters - there are only 2 Hillary fans on the whole block... and they were both at the filming

The other political tidbit I have for you is the straw poll results from the Forsyth County Democratic Party Convention - (I'm the Precinct Secretary :D )
Clinton: 38
Obama: 96
Gravel: 0
Gore: 1

The vote for Gore was apparently a write-in. :coolwink:

Thus and therefore, I predict NC will go to Obama, assuming he survives this latest bashing... Interesting timing, don't you think, you know, going into a primary in an extremely religious state in the south...

I just wish I could really get excited about this whole fiasco, but I just can't.
I wish it was November...

Hey, welcome back!!

I'm for the person who voted for Gore as a write-in!! :coolwink: They're defintely on to something here!! :good:

Yes, I guess you guys will be in the spotlight for a week, huh?

This election has certainly been lonnnng and drawn-out. Heck, it'll be great just to have all the primaries behind us. :!:
