Rush Limbaugh Calling For Riots In Denver
Talk Show Host Wants America To See Actions Of 'Far Left'



He said the riots would ensure a Democrat is not elected as president, and his listeners have a responsibility to make sure it happens.

"Riots in Denver, the Democrat Convention would see to it that we don't elect Democrats," Limbaugh said during Wednesday's radio broadcast. He then went on to say that's the best thing that could happen to the country.

Limbaugh cited Al Sharpton, saying the Barack Obama supporter threatened to superdelegates that "there's going to be trouble" if the presidency is taken from Obama.

Several callers called in to the radio show to denounce Limbaugh's comments, when he later stated, "I am not inspiring or inciting riots, I am dreaming of riots in Denver."

Limbaugh said with massive riots in Denver, which he called "Operation Chaos," the people on the far left would look bad.

"There won't be riots at our convention," Limbaugh said of the Republican National Convention. "We don't riot. We don't burn our cars. We don't burn down our houses. We don't kill our children. We don't do half the things the American left does."

He believes electing Democrats will hurt America's security and economy and appeared to call on his listeners to make sure that doesn't happen.

"We do, hopefully, the right thing for the sake of this country. We're the only one in charge of our affairs. We don't farm out our defense if we elect Democrats ... and riots in Denver, at the Democratic Convention will see to it we don't elect Democrats. And that's the best damn thing that can happen to this country, as far as I can think," Limbaugh said.

Denver will host the DNC on Aug. 25 to Aug. 28.

I was really disturbed by this, Wayne. I didn't know what kinds of stuff Limbaugh was spewing as I don't watch his show. So I googled his name and went to his website. I was appalled by the crap he is encouraging. This is really disconcerting and made me realize how much democrats DO need to be united. I'm sure he would like nothing more than to see us Democrats self-destruct so the Republicans can continue to line their pockets. :angry:

Yes, Texan for Gore, this is more than disturbing. This is a not so subtle call for his millions of listeners to commit acts of violence and anarchy at the Democratic Convention in Denver.

For starters I guess we can complain to the FCC. I'm open to ideas.. :?: The problem is, once Bush and Cheney were sworn in by the Supreme Court, the criminals became in charge of investigating themselves. Maybe we should complain to Grandpa McCain..

Wayne, it might not do any good, but it can't hurt to at least complain to the FCC. I wonder how much Grandpa McCain would listen?? Guess it depends on how many complain to him about it.

And I was also thinking about writing to all the superdelegates. Of course, the primaries still need to play out, but I do think they need to start thinking of possible solutions in case no clear winner emerges. Or, if at the end, Obama is ahead in states won, delegates and popular vote, then I don't see how they could choose Hillary. Whatever the decision, it has to feel fair to Democrats.

I'm tired of the Repugs accusing Dems of things like this. When Texas had their primary, I showed up that night for the caucus. People there weren't completely sure what we were supposed to do and there was an Republican election judge there who was accusing Dems of being unorganized. I wanted to come unglued right then and there, but I thought better of it. :?: Somebody else gave him a piece of their mind.

Anyway, I'll give this some thought over the weekend. Let me know if you come up with other idea. :good:

Before I commit on some of what the lying tongue BRRRRush Limbaugh said let me say I agree with what The Paraclete said in his last two replies. (1) OPERATION UNITY should be promoting 'good terms' between both Obama & Clinton…and (2) OPERATION UNITY should be adhered by ALL Democrats!

Now let’s look at some of BRRRRush had to say. But first a bit of his glorious past, He has never served in the military or even close to a combat situation. Isn’t it great that the ones who have never served are so eager to send others off too fight their wars, knowing when they do they will never have to see the horror or be in any danger. Limbaugh was first classified as 1-Y but that was later reclassified as 4-F which means unfit for military service.

I have seen statements about how intelligent he is but after high school he dropped out of Southeast Missouri State University after only two and one half semesters. That means he quit, understand quit, a higher level of knowledge after less than one and a half years. His Mother understood because as she said, “he was flunking everything, even ballroom dancing.” Can’t you just visualize a ball of Jell-O quivering on the dance floor.

There were riots in 1968 but they were directed toward the war in Vietnam and there was a draft. Many of those rioting belonged to your destructive party. You know everyone? I keep looking at this and try to find out the reasoning why an individual can sit on the air at a radio network, and openly admit what he is trying to do is 'incite a riot'. I have heard this analogy, it is no different than yelling 'fire' in a crowded theatre.

If any of us were trying to incite a 'riot', then I am sure the law would come and cart us away to the hoosegow.
