Pat Robertson and Al Sharpton join Al Gore in environmental ad

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - The Reverend Pat Robertson says passers-by in Virginia Beach did some double-takes when they saw him filming an ad with the Reverend Al Sharpton and former Vice President Al Gore.

The ad for Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection is set on a beach, with Robertson and Sharpton saying they “strongly disagree” about a lot of things, but agree on the need to care for the Earth.

On yesterday’s broadcast of “The 700 Club,” Robertson said that when the filming was done last Wednesday, the three of them prayed together at Gore’s urging.
Robertson said he agreed to appear in the ad because he believes people should be good stewards of the environment. He added, “Al Sharpton’s a nice guy and we had a lot of fun together.”

Al Gore is a true uniter!

Yeah, really! If he can bring Sharpton and Robertson together for even just one moment and on one issue, it should be a piece of cake for him to heal up our party on the convention floor, and have everyone--Obama, Hillary, his supporters, her supporters, Howard Dean, the FL & MI delegations, the rest of the party--all holding hands, smiling, and dancing during the upbeat closing moments of the convention, as the confetti rains down on them all, including the new nominee of the Democratic Party: Al Gore!!!
