P.S.

1. If link doesn't seem to work, stay in it and click your "refresh" button. That did it for me.

2. Is it just me, or is it INCREDIBLY EXCITING to read the response of the Gore spokesman* to the question of would he run if asked! To me, reading between the political lines, I got a DISTINCT "maybe"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do y'all think?

* edited to add: "when I contacted his representative, wondering if he'd run (in the event the party asked him to) I was told: "Mr. Gore does not anticipate such a scenario and therefore hasn't engaged in any such speculation."

Translation: Quite possibly or at least maybe!!!!!!!!!

The representative definitely did not say: NO.

Oh, oh, oh, OH!

OH!

I just may have to skip through this cubicle farm shouting with with glee!

...On second thought, I'm surrounded by repugs here, so I'd better just beam from within!

Guys, I should have posted this thread in this forum, probably. Please go and vote for Gore. Anything we can do to generate buzz and "hits" on pages discussing the brokered convention/Gore scenario is good:

6 Signs Al Gore is running for president

Have you heard? Al Gore might run for president. True, he's repeatedly denied taking another stab at the White House, but with the contest between Clinton and Obama growing increasingly contentious, many are worried the party is heading toward gridlock.

Enter Al Gore -- the great unifier. The highly popular senior member of the Democratic party could be tapped as the ultimate "compromise candidate."

Most still consider a Gore-led ticket a long shot, and when I contacted his representative, wondering if he'd run (in the event the party asked him to) I was told: "Mr. Gore does not anticipate such a scenario and therefore hasn't engaged in any such speculation." That said, there's mounting evidence that this formerly far-out theory could become reality.

But the question is: even if Gore is the best compromise to bring together a wounded party, could he really beat John McCain? After all, he did lose the election back in 2000. Would you vote to put Al Gore in the White House?

Al Gore for president: Yay or Nay? Enough already, there's no way this guy would win the election 16 (14.8%)
Only if he ran with Hillary 1 (0.9%)
Only if he ran with Barack 26 (24.1%)
Al for president! 64 (59.3%)

I prefer to refer to Edna in shorthand as H-chad rather than H.C., so as to avoid any confusion!

 Thanks, earthmother! All I need is for people to start actually confusing me with her! As it is, they already confuse me with someone who zealously supports her anytime I state a position on any issue that is even vaguely perceived as possibly being in the general realm of anywhere near to anything within a vague proximity of being anti-Obama. You want to seat the Florida delegates? Obviously you are a Clinton supporter! You don't like Obama? Obviously it is because you are a Clinton-lovin' maggot! You had oatmeal for breakfast? Obviously, it is because you know Obama prefers eggs and you are making a subtle statement on behalf of the vast Clintonian machine that is trying to take over the world with its dark, dark tentacles!

And now you have made me realize that even my moniker initials could be construed as a subtle way for me to state my loyalty to the monster formerly known as HC, nevermind that I was hangingchad before she was even a gleam in the 2008 election's eye!
